hello

although I'm probably talking to myself.

That's nice Holly

Sorry, but Andy is known between me & DH as "that kcufing tig". But I guess he's not being necessarily rated on his intelligence and pesonality?? I liked Chris though.

I'm going to join the gym today It's £22 per month for off peak membership (until 5pm weekdays, all day weekends), which means if I take jamlet to the pool once a week and have a proper swim by my self once a week it's cheaper to have membership. So hopefully it'll encourage me to swim at least once per week and I might even give the gym a go! I used to go loads and stopped when I had jamlet, but can't face the sight of my huge tummy and arse any longer so am going to give it a go again.

LackaDAISYcal · 29/01/2009 10:08

Don't tankinis bear your midriff? Perish the thought anyone other than my DH or DCs should see my belly

also standard swimwear sizes don't go up to a BFing 34OMFGG

natty has been quiet this last few days; I hope she is OK.

right, I'm moving!

oh, and at three days shy of the BIG 40, I guess I am firmly in the "mumsy" camp

LittleMissNorty · 29/01/2009 10:11

Good for you Jammy....does it have a crèche? None of mine do round here which is a real PITA...I'd have to travel about 20 miles.

Holly, that buggy is nice.....very sensible!

Hope you find a swimming cossie Daisy.........the thought of a leopard skin one with gold chains made me smile.....makes me think of Marlene . When are you going away......big 40 on Sunday isn't it?

I'm having a bit of a wobble about being sterilised on Monday.....my DH says to me....well you're not a spring chicken any more darling

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 10:21

It does have a creche - not included in the membership fee of course (hoped they'd do a discount for members but no such luck) but I think I might use it anyway, perhaps once a week.

Sputnik · 29/01/2009 10:24

I have flu I think. DD has had it since monday and me and DS have it now, so we are all crowded on the sofa. Bum.
When we move house I am getting a bigger sofa! Or possibly 2 sofas.

LackaDAISYcal · 29/01/2009 10:27

have you found a new house sputnik?

sorry about the flu

OP posts:
Sputnik · 29/01/2009 14:53

Possibly, we are putting an offer in for one today.
Feeling a little better here as I took some ibuprofen. Both DCs are asleep.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 16:05

Sorry you're ill Sputnik. And fingers crossed about the house.

Busy day here, been to the park, joined the gym, been to the library, popped home forlunch, then out to the children's centre. I'm exhausted! And hungry But am really trying not to snack all the time (and still eat 3 good me3als) because I have a dress in the wardrobe I want to wear to Dniece's wedding. So have 6 months to lose about 3.5 stone, I reckon, if it's gonna happen.

LittleMissNorty · 29/01/2009 16:15

You can do it Jammy.

We've been busy today as well.....DD was playing with her cousin who was in an equally bad mood as DD so they squabbled and snatched off each other and whinged and moaned, until it was time to come home....

Sorry to hear you are all ill Sputnik....hope your offer gets accepted. Is the credit crunch / house prices not as bad in Italy?

LackaDAISYcal · 29/01/2009 16:29

we are a clever bunch here. My nappy contents thread is on discussions of the day, and fairy has the tip of the day

you can do it Jammy. We can support each other if you like as I also have three stone to lose.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 16:45

Thanks Norty, Daisy. I know I can do it, as have done so it the past (how bloody depressing to be here again then ). 3.5 stone should get me into the dress, then another 3 should get me down to a reasonable weight.

LittleMissNorty · 29/01/2009 16:47

I'm in a similar position Jammy....my DH went to GPs this week and I'm pretty sure he's got IBS....prbably due to all the shit we eat ....we will deal with it though....he's such a miserable sod though when I enforce healthy eating.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 16:59

Are we married to the same guy, Norty? Or do all blokes get grumpy at enforced healthy eating?

LittleMissNorty · 29/01/2009 17:15

Makes it much more difficult doesn't it? Before I knew him, I lost over 3stone at SW.....he will really struggle with SW....esp as I do green days. And portion size is a big problem in this house.

I am dreading it tbh

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 17:29

I hate it when I'm asked "am I allowed to eat this?" Well, you're a grown up, you can eat what you like. Can you eat it and still lose weight? Well depends on what you ate earlier, and what you'll eat tomorrow, and if youre going to do any exercise.... Grrrr!!

LittleMissNorty · 29/01/2009 17:31

MMMMmmm sounds familiar. Its the sulking that pisses me off.....

Right, we have super healthy stir fry tonight, so better get preparing

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/01/2009 17:35

OMG, if I put a healthy eating enforcement on dp he would leave me! Not that we eat that unhealthily, we just eat a lot! I live on carbs and do no exercise. I need to lose about 1.5-2 stone to be a size 12 again, then I'd be happy. Maybe we should resurrect the weight loss thread?

Well done on joining the gym jammy and well done to daisy and fairy for the clever discussions!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/01/2009 17:38

I get "am I allowed to eat this?" all the time, but because of my many food products boycotts! I don't buy Nestle or Heinz, I don't buy intensively farmed meat or eggs and I don't buy anything with aspartame or saccharine in! Poor dp gets very confused!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 29/01/2009 17:40

I don't actually try to enforce healthy food on DH. i know if someone tried to tell me what to do like that I'd be narked. When I'm in a particularly healthy eating phase I supply him with a healthy, reasonablt portioned main meal and it's up to him if wants to add extras.

I was thinking about resurrecting the other thread earlier Holly.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/01/2009 17:42

If I did it I would have to enforce it on dp too. There is no way I could have "normal" food (ie cakes and biscuits and cheese) in the house and not eat it myself. It would have to be both of us doing it or not at all. I just bought some fudge in Asda, that's not really a good start is it?!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/01/2009 18:13

OMG! I just bought a couple of snack traps in Asda. Brilliant! Ds has had some raisins and a chopped kiwi in his and try as he might there has not been one morsel on the floor. Hurrah!

Bumperslucious · 29/01/2009 18:34

Snack traps are great!

God, I'm knackered. DD is really whingy so I am making DH take her to sainsbo's!

I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scales yesterday. Been too scared to weigh myself since before Christmas expecting to be way over 9 and a half stone but I was 9st4! I was surprised as I haven't made much of an effort, except I've been eating a lot of soup for lunch (no bread) and just leaving food or not eating if I'm not hungry. Not been doing any exercise though, however I have just bought this running book which I am determined to start as soon we are though this illness with DD and feel less exhausted.

Happy to join the weight loss thread if you ressurect it.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/01/2009 18:45

Soup without bread? Goodness, I don't think I could do that! Well done bumper!

I can't believe I have never invested in a snack trap before! Genius! I only bought them today because they were 2 for £4.
