Hi everyone
So sorry to hear about DH's grandad runny
You been blowing bubbles Dippy? very cute of P!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 21/12/2008 21:20

Runny - sorry to read about your news but fwiw I think your dh has made the right decision about not seeing him. I had to make a similar decision with my gramps and I just felt there was nothing more to say and do than I had already done. And from the perspective of the dying person - seeing someone you love come to visit and be shocked and dismayed at how you've detiorated can't be helpful for anyone.

Dippy - clever P!

Bit bothered about my dad - he has to have a couple of blood tests repeated and keeps saying he's not worried - yeah right!

Has anybody else seen the threads about the moldies? Bloody depressing tbh.

CaptainDippy · 21/12/2008 21:52

Hope your dad is ok NL. xx

P also said "Balloon" this evening too - she is so yum, I could eat her!!

Have a good time Dippy xx

StealthPolarBear · 22/12/2008 19:54

Hi everyone
Hope your dad is OK NL. Can't help that this is all happening round Christmas when nothing moves fast.
Yes, I saw the Moldies thread, didn't fully understand what's going on but it's made me a bit about MN in general. Still can't stop posting though!
I have officially qualified as a parent - scooped my first poo out of the bath earlier I called DH to come and sort T out while I cleaned and disinfected bath and toys- T kept running back in and peering over to see what had happened to it!

StealthPolarBear · 22/12/2008 19:54

just noticed your first line caz and looked at your profile - you have lovely DCs!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 22/12/2008 20:17

Thanks Dippy and SPB - well some better news. One of the blood tests being repeated was because they didn't do it the first time - not because of a dodgy result - so that's good. The other is because of a high result but whilst that needs looking into is't not really worrying iyswim. Phewwwwww!

SPB - I've kept up with the Moldie threads and I struggle to know what's going on. There are some posters I feel disappointed in certainly.

StealthPolarBear · 22/12/2008 20:56

Fantastic! I had similar with a urine test when pg - panicked when asked to repeat it, it was because they'd knocked it over

Yes, I've just come to the end of the Moldies thread (not really moved for an hour!) and my faith in MN has been restored, but faith in som MNers slightly soiled. It's like finding out someone you thought you knew quite well has been having an affair!

oooggs · 22/12/2008 21:00

caz - fab photo

katy - well done you

nl - hope things for your dad are sorted soon

dippy - have a fab time

runny - for your dh and family

liath - have fun with family - shame dh working

eddas - builders/close to finishing - I wouldn't put those words in the same sentence - they make me so mad and I am so glad I don't have to see them again until 5th January. Say on thing (to keep me quiet) then while I am not here they do something else "but it will be worth it in the end" I chant every night/day

I also feel poorly again astham and chest so off to drs tomorrow - I am too old to be pregnant!!!

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 22/12/2008 22:21

oh oooggs i hate it when people say one thing and do another, so annoying. I really hope they're finished soon. Hope the trip to the docotr helps

runny, sorry to hear your news

nl, glad your dad gave you some good news and finger crossed the other tests are ok and they can help whatever the problem turns out to be.

Bye cd, have a lovely time

SPb, at poo in the bath i haven't had that yet

I've read bits of the moldies threads. All a bit unecessary really(the going off on another forum bit) and the threads deciding who to ask to join how did I miss seeing any of those, I mean, fair enough i'm not sat here all day but you'd have thought you'd have seen a few of them maybe they were in moldies code. Oh well, i consider myself still very much a newbie so i'm not fussed. Is just odd though.

We had some GOOD news today, hoorah!!!!!! at long last DH got accepted onto the management training course

in the words of the dippy one

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 22/12/2008 22:23

caz, your dc are all lovely looking, the frst photo is gorgeous

elkiedee · 23/12/2008 00:13

Sorry to hear about your dh's grandad runny.

NL, I read some of the stuff about Moldies last night. Am also a bit shocked and saddened.

We had a visit from an ex colleague of my mum's and old friend of mine today, together with his ex wife and daughter who is older than me. Lovely to see Greg again after what has been a great many years and to finally introduce him to Mike and Danny of course.

Just fed up with the acid and general pg symptoms waking me up in the middle of the night and very early in the morning. I keep lying down because I'm tired in the day, then falling asleep and waking up feeling even worse.

Tomorrow we need to sort our Christmas shopping. Last minute I know but...

StealthPolarBear · 23/12/2008 08:51

Well done Eddas's DH! Although am at lack of poo in bath, I thought I'd done well to get to 20 months!
oooggs, hope you can get some help. Is it just pg related or do you suffer at other times too?
elkie, you poor thing

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 23/12/2008 09:17

I can feel life drainign away and really I have no need to read them!!

I think all I want is a list of names of who is on molidies and i'll be ok not sure why but I feel the need to know

Morning spb

Elkie, hope you feel better soon, it can't be long until you're due now?

Right, must unwedge my butt from the chair, friends coming over at 10.30 so I need to get ready!

well done with the move Luce xx

That makes 2 of us wondering that

MavYourselfAMerryLittleXmas · 23/12/2008 10:34

hello! Have been most unwell with dodgy tum since I got back from scotland and am sorry to say I have very embarrassingly been engrossed in the tween saga that is the twilight books so not turned the computer on at all in the last few days. I see everyone else has been similarly, though no doubt more honorably, engaged

N is at nursery for his last day until january and I am still in my pjs (should I be ashamed?? I´M NOT!! MWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHH) ahem.

POTC sorry to hear about your brother, so glad he is ok. Same for you and M with the near miss , hope J´s visit to the doc goes without incident.

Not caught up on anything else but couldn´t let another day go by without saying hello. HELLLOOOOOOO!

StealthPolarBear · 23/12/2008 10:42

hi everyone, hope you're better Mav.
Yes eddas I agree, don't want to particularly interact with those people again - if they're too good for us then they can piss off/

2HotCrossBunnies · 23/12/2008 11:32

Good morning all. Just popping by to wish everyone a very merry xmas with all the April 07 little ones (and the rest of our DCs of course). I'm very far behind on the thread but I hope those that were ill and/or stressed are better and that all are getting in the festive spirit.

All fine here after sickness of both DH and the nany - I was the only one capable of going to work!
DS1 at 3.7 is VERY excited about xmas and it's the first year he's really put together avent calendars, decorations, the tree, the lights, father christmas, the presents etc. DS2 is a horror - throws trantrums and cries if he doesn't get his own way. He's the bully out of the 2 boys and DS1 is the one who comes crying "mummy my brother hurt me". But DS2 is mega cute so gets away with it! Can't believe he's 20 months already.

We are spending xmas just us in London and then beginning the "tour" on Boxing Day with a visit to the ILs in Sussex then up to Cheshire to see my folks.

Our other news is that I am pg, due beginning of August. So that's exciting - although I think I must be mad!! So another xmas where I'm either feeding or pg! Not told many people yet - will tell in person over the xmas period. Am lookng forward to seeing my MIL's face!

Love to all xx

Bramshott · 23/12/2008 11:56

CONGRATULATIONS 2HotCross! Thanks for popping by and sharing your lovely news!

Right, off to start the Christmas marathon now, while wondering what I've forgotten (it'll be something big and important, I can tell you!)

I hope you all have a lovely time, and if all else fails, remember - gin and tonic is your friend (or sherry, or cooking brandy, or whatever else is nearest to hand at the time!).

xxxxxxx
