very busy here, B had a huge tantrum when I picked her up from nursery yesterday - had to cycle off with her sitting in her bike seat and roaring in fury. Don't ask me what it was about - don't think even she knows.

Eddas - that sounds grim - hope all better soon.

Liath - I love your supermarket story!

SOL - glad you had a great time and that your mum was able to ring - is she picking up a bit? Have they been referred to a dietician - might help her gain a bit of weight and increase energy?

Hi to everyone else

jingleoooggs · 16/12/2008 19:33

liath - I would love to meet you

sol - glad you had a fab time you deserve it

poorly eddas household hope you are better soon

Is anybody else being messed around by tax credits atm?

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 17/12/2008 12:26

hi everyone.

DD doesn't have tonsilitus, the spots on her tonsils are calcium spots apparently, quite common for parents to worry when they see them, according to the doctor Docotr said there's no oral thrush left so i'd done the right thing. Do I get some good mummy points? she slept much better last night, after medised, and this morning is talking like a very gruff old man, so i'm hoping it's on it's way out

And horah my ear popped this morning whilst blowing my nose so the ear drops are working. I'm off out in a bit to buy some audiclean to see if it flushes some of the wax out since none has appeared, it's definately there. Maybe that was all TMI

at finishing shopping caz. I started mine weeks ago but have failed to achieve much and now i'm all blah about it

Bramshott · 17/12/2008 15:06

Rushing today, but have just popped in to share this gem with you which nearly made me PMSL when I recieved it yesterday:

My text from Ocado about my Christmas shopping delivery read "Just a little reminder of your 8pm - 9pm order which will be delivered by Jesus in Cabbage van number XYZ123"

I know in some parts of the world it is a common name, but I nearly spat my tea out with laughter when it arrived (and then of course he was late with van trouble which caused DH much merriment and jokes about getting in a replacement donkey!)

I have finished my Christmas shopping too - only problem is that it was all online so now I have to sit here and bite my nails to see if it actually all arrives before next week (and to see if I can remember exactly what it is that I've ordered!)

StealthPolarBear · 17/12/2008 19:53

hi everyone
lol Bramshott - do you think you'll be hanging round until Christmas waiting for him?

jingleoooggs · 17/12/2008 21:39

a quiet posting day again

well the stairs are now in and have joined the loft to the next floor down, the place is a mess, it is freezing during the day and there isn't anywhere to put anything aaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh

I have been thinking about Luce and I hope that you are all settled in your new home x

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2008 07:42

oooggs, it must be very hard for you atm(understatement of the year possibly!!) hope you are getting as much rest as you can and the builders are finished asap

I've just been looking at a fairly new nursery that's opened on my way to work here it looks lovely. Shame it's out of my league price wise i've emailed them anyway to see if they can accomodate me no harm in asking I'm just not sure about the cm i've got lined up. I'm sure it'll be fine, I just rang her the other day and she said she was expecting me to call and cancel her and then asked if ds would be term time or all year and was a bit 'ah' when I said all year, 'it'll work out' she said, need to do a bit of juggling so he has a definate place term time but not holidays

I'm trying so hard not to worry as it will sort itself but I hate it when plans aren't in place

ds crying back in a bit....

StealthPolarBear · 18/12/2008 07:50

Hi everyone
to disorganised CM Eddas - why on earth did she expect you to cancel??

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2008 08:00

she said because she isn't where I live in a perfect world i'd have a cm close to home, but it's more expensive and there aren't any. she is n the way to work, pretty much no detour at all. I told her all this when i explained why I looked in her village. I think acutally she was hoping i'd changed my mind. When I saw her she'd just lost twins as their dad got made redundant and she had no mindees during the day. Now the dad has a job so she has hem back and i'm not sure she wants all 3 IYSWIM. BUT she did say that even if she got the twins backshe could have ds as they were at preschool for half the time ds is there You know when you're just not sure anymore. I really liked her and the fact she knows my dad, but..........

bloody childcare

jingleoooggs · 18/12/2008 13:48

eddas - bloody childminder - pre school twins and a 20 mth old - easy peasy

I have finished work

hi katy

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2008 18:19

lol oooggs glad you've finshed work

Well, it should be the last day of my friday only working tomorrow but ds has been hot all day and very cuddly which isn't like him. DH came home and gave him a cuddle and he was sick all over himi'm at the sick on dh not ds being sick btw! Poor little lad has now fallen fast asleep on the sofa so he won't be going into nursery tomorrow and I can't go to work(shame ) i'm still going to take dd to nursery [mean mother] it's her last day and i'll need to collect some of their things anyway. Not sure what my boss'll think but ey ho there's not much I can do

StealthPolarBear · 18/12/2008 18:28

hi everyone
eddas, how is H?

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2008 18:43

sleeping in his cot spb dh asked if I liked him all cuddly, but as much as it's lovely to get a cuddle(ds has never been cuddly unlike dd) i'd rather have him running around or doing his spinning round and roun making himself dizzy it's just typical that whenever something happens with ill dc it's thursday. two weeks ago dd developed conjunctivitus on thursday, nightmare. At leas when you're in work more often it doesn't look so bad having time off, but it's billing day tomorrow too so my boss'll be getting itchy feet about that oh well.

CaptainDippy · 18/12/2008 19:57

Boo!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 18/12/2008 19:59

boo back
Hopefully he's over the worst Eddas
Well T has added to his vast vocabulary (so far Mama, Daddeee, Dor and hot ) two new words - BYE and eye! Funnily enough when he was saying mama and pointing at a brownie I was eating his pronunciation suddenly became loads clearer

elkiedee · 18/12/2008 21:50

Eddas, hope H is feeling a bit better. D likes to spin round and round too.

D has quite a few new words, one is "baby" - we've been watching bits of the "baby time" programmes on cable TV as we're waking up, but last night D woke at 2 am and was pointing at the TV saying "baby". As he's already woken up at 4 am twice this week I was in despair but thankfully he eventually went back to sleep at 4 am. I can hardly sleep at night right now but at least if D does dp gets some sleep, otherwise everyone just gets too cross and I can't handle it at all.

Really looking forward to 5.30 pm tomorrow and even more to Saturday afternoon when we arrive in Ilkley.

DingdongmerrilyonDOO · 18/12/2008 22:07

Eek to CM Eddas.Hope H feeling better.
OOOGGS How you cope I don't know.I suspect it is because you have no choice!
SPB at T.
bRAMSHOTT
Knackered here.M had Hib jab this morning was up at 8.30 and has just gone to bedHe has gone up with dp as he won't sleep in his cot at the mo...don't know why.So he has not slept today.I troed twice this afternoon and followed his bedtime routine.Want to cry to be honest.
I banged his head when I lifted him up on a wooden ball thing that comes out of top of stairs that I didn't notice so he held his breath.
We have a 2 bed house and we seem to play musical beds am really fed up.Dp and I have zero time in day or eve for us.
Soz for whinge.Boohoo

cazboldy · 18/12/2008 23:07

thanks for that Eddas, but (fingers crossed) looks like I have managed to get them to sort it out. Thing is they dumped just over £600 in my account, but I am scared to touch it, as from past experience, I know that they are very likely to ask for it back !

It is Caitlin's birthday today. She is 9!

She has had a lovely day, as it was the christmas party at school, and we have been out for tea and bowling with some friends.

Can't wait for the kids to break up tomorrow!
