glad you've arrived luce, hope you have a great christmas

Ok, a mouldie is an mn oldie(poster that's been around a while) basically a new website was set up when mn was threatened with closure because of saying things about Gina Ford(before my time) anyway one of the oldies stumbled across the website(which was unused) and reactivated it and made it closed(can't be googled and is invite only) It's called mn oldies, and now nick named mouldies.

hotxbunnies congratulations yet another of our gang pg.

nice to see you mav, of the still in pjs don't feel guilty

AngeGabriel · 23/12/2008 12:01

Congratulations 2hotcorssbunnies Lovely to see you.

Maveta - Sorry you've been so ill.

Eddas/NL/SPB - I've also been reading those Moldie threads. I don't post very often elsewhere, but am a terrible lurker. Totally agree with your sentiment though SPB.

Oooggs - Car looks lovely. I love the C8! Hope Dr can help with your chest and hope you're feeling better soon.

Forgotten everything else. Mad here!

leakyR · 23/12/2008 13:05

Just a quickie while I'm on my lunch hour.
I know I haven't been on for aaaages, haven't even been lurking. My sickness and fainting seem to have passed but i am permanently knackered. DH and Ds both been ill and with christmas stuff to organise I haven't turned the computer at home on in about a week!

Haven't caught up with the thread but did spot 2HCB is pg!! Congratulations. IME You're quite correct in saying "I must be mad"

We're spending the 25th at home then travelling to Northumberland on Boxing Day. My mam is coming ti ILs with us to do lunch and presents, because my dad is STILL IN HER HOUSE!! Offered to go out with him and G for lunch on 27th his answer "No" i've reached the end of the line with him I think. If he can't be bothered now and is hurting me then he will end up letting my children down in the future - I'm not having that!

My brother and partner are pg too, due August which is great news and something posistive for us all to look forward to.

If i'm not on before - I hope you all have a wonderful, fun, peaceful happy Christmas whereever and however you celebrate

Reindeerhabbit · 23/12/2008 16:19

After much soul searching, we all went to visit dh grandad. It has meant a lot to mil, and dh grandma. I think the boys lifted everyone's spirits iyswim. It was a shock to see how much he had deteriorated, but actually think dh felt he was saying goodbye.

This morning, dh had the phonecall to tell him that grandad had passed away at 6am

Such a lovely, lovely man. And so sorry for mil, and grandmil.

geordieminx · 23/12/2008 16:23

So sorry for you loss Runny, but pleased that dh got to see him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW OOOGGS!!!

Reindeerhabbit · 23/12/2008 16:28

Congrats to 2hcb - I've had some lovely cuddles with newborns lately, and am trying to play down my broodiness

Leaky - Don't blame you, re your dad. You get to a point where you can't do anymore, iyswim.people can do what they like to me, but God help anyone to hurts my family.

W is trying his hardest to copy everything J says. Atm, the top 3 phrases are " it's/i'm stuck", "it's dark" and "I did it" The last one is used quite often, and looks very proud of himself

We are travelling all of 1/2 mile for Christmas dinner (going to my parents) and then they are coming back to ours Christmas night for drinks and to put the boys to bed

elkiedee · 23/12/2008 17:24

Congratulations 2HCB - nutty has her 2nd due the same month

Nice also to see you posting Leaky - hope the tiredness eases off soon, and sorry to hear about your dad being such a pain. When I read the bit about your brother that old pregnant man poster flashed up in my mind.

One of my stepsisters has arrived with her dog and a friend and the other is coming over this pm for M's birthday meal, presumably with husband and ds 7 weeks older than D. D's getting indignant wtih the dogs for scuffling around with each other and is trying to tell them off. My little sister comes up from London tomorrow and our brother and his fiancee (they've just announced their engagement) will be around tomorrow evening as well. So it's going to be mayhem all round!

Have finally done at least some of my Christmas shopping, still some to do. Last minute as usual...

elkiedee · 23/12/2008 17:24

And Leeds is crazy today. No surprises there I guess!

oooggs · 23/12/2008 20:30

naughty gm bloody facebook from tomorrow its the slippery slope to 40

luce - great to see you

runny - those type of decisions are so hard

3hotcrossbunnies totally, totally mad and its the same here, ds1 (5) is a real wuss and ds2 (20 mths) beats him up

eddas - thats fab news - you really deserved something good to happen

I have been in bed all day, asthma attack, chest infection and exhausted so another round of steriods, anti biotics and rest (likely). I am so behind decs not up, food shopping not finished (talking important stuff) and haven't even finished the kids presents and haven't wrapped a thing

StealthPoHoHoHo · 23/12/2008 20:50

hi all
hmmm oooggs, can anyone help with bare minimum? You sound dreadful

geordieminx · 23/12/2008 21:12

Us capricorns have to stick together oooggs Although I'm only on the downward slope to 30

Sorry you are feeling so crap at the moment - only thing I can suggest is make a list, prioritise, scrub out all the crap that really isnt important - like decorations, delegate as much as you can, and take it easy!

Can J not do all of the decorations tomorrow - give him sole responsbility for them - it'll keep him busy for a while, and one less thing for you to do!

PillockOnTheChristmastree · 23/12/2008 22:29

Evening all

When Ange said it was mad there she had no idea of what was to come - we arrived about 8 minutes after

Had a fab day and home safely now
