FIRST haircut?! T has had 2 and needs a 3rd!
You might be surprised - T enjoys it!

cazboldy · 31/12/2008 17:45

molly has had loads of haircuts! Her hair is seriously wild and needs taming every day! The hair dresser recommends using lots of conditioner, and mousse! that way she has curls instead of an afro

cazboldy · 31/12/2008 17:45

oh and happy new year everyone! who is going out, and who is staying in?

StealthPoHoHoHo · 31/12/2008 17:53

i am sipping a schloer and fizzy water & we plan to watch a dvd. I'll fill you in on all the wild antics tomorrow

geordieminx · 31/12/2008 19:00

Bottle of vino, and mini snack type things here - spring rolls, mini fish finger sandwiches, tempura prawns... we're dead posh us!

Happy New Year

Octo, hensden had a baby in October, and someone else was due this month who hasn't posted here for a long time - twinkle? Nuttygirl is also having another in August.

We went out to an NY party at someone's house this evening though we left at 10.30 - I always felt it would be nice at least to go out but wasn't set on seeing the New Year in there. We got back at 5 to 12 with D asleep in his buggy, so dp, I and the cats wished each other a Happy New Year.

I had pineapple juice, cheese straws, Celebrations and Heroes chocolate, and some Pringles, though I was a bit miffed when our friends' youngest child sloped off with the Pringles to his room, as the other crisps didn't appeal. And now I feel really childish about minding so much - I'll have to treat dp and myself to more Pringles and Polish breadsticks to make up this week.

Eddas · 01/01/2009 07:31

Happy new year fellow April 07ers, they're all gonna be 2 this year

oooggs · 01/01/2009 21:22

twinkle has had her baby - can't remember details

Well we went to a wild NYE party, both got hammered on vodka and cocktails, left all children with a 12 year old and came home and had wild sex!!!!!!!!!!!!

What really happened is that I went to bed at 7pm with mild contractions and a really bad headache, felt better by 8.50pm and got up to watch meet the Fockers with dh. Ate Pringles and Matchmakers and drank lemonade, watched the fireworks and tumbled back into bed at 12.05am and as for the sex pat, you have got to be joking - I have always been told by the midwife not to have sex between conception and the 6 month check

Hi Octo - I will be texting you (along with the others who are going to wish I didn't have their mobile numbers) when I get back onto the labour ward at stupid o'clock.

Oh and a very Happy New Year - we are all born in 'odd' years - just some stupid observation

twinkle183 · 01/01/2009 21:50

Hi ya guys didn't realise that this thread was still going but I will fill you on whats been going on with me... ds1 has started school and is doing well!! DD is a little monkey and on the 21st November I gave birth to a ickle boy called Jack Tomas weighing in at 8lb 4oz, labour was a good 1 1/2 hour from start to finish and he was born at 10:14 in the morning my dh nearly missed it as he was on deployment...

Its good to hear that alot of you girlies are expecting other ones or have had them!!!

Would be good to catch up with a few of you, oh and have now moved to Cumbria so if anyone is in that area would love to meet up...

twinkle183

oooggs · 01/01/2009 22:22

Hi Twinkle - moved from Cornwall before we met??????? What did I do? . Hope all good with you

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2009 07:13

Thanks for the update Twinkle

I've had a horrible night

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 02/01/2009 08:24

What happened Dippy?

I've had a crap night too - went to bed with a mild stomachache - which then developed into agonising cramps and the need to spend about 40 minutes in the loo. Went to sleep at 2am - and am going back there in a minute. B is up and feels slightly hot so she's been calpoled and is sitting on the sofa with dd1 - who told me to go back to bed bless her!

We had a lovely day entertaining family yesterday - cooked Roast beef for ten and did a buffet tea - first time I've fed so many and it was lovely to have the necessary space!

Twinkle - thanks for the update - I will amend my list!

Oooggs and Elkie are due by the end of next month (eeeeek!) Twinkle183 had a boy in November - Jack Tomas (great name btw)
Vio had a little girl in the autumn - Hannah. Hensden had an October baby - boy - no name when she posted the announcement but I'm sure he has one by now!

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2009 08:25

Ok you know I said 'crap night' - well neither TMI or a pun was intended by that!!!

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2009 09:08

Tried to go to bed early, just as we were about to go to sleep, DD2 started whimpering and complaining that her tummy hurt. DH stayed with her for a while, then she came in with us for what seemed like forever - I couldn't take it anymore, so DH took her back to her bed and promptly threw up all over him. Spent ages cleaning it up (DH did while I was in our bed with DD2). Finally got DD2 back into her bed about 1.30am, between that time and 4am, DD3 woke a couple of times and needed to be comforted (very snotty and hot); then older 2 decided 4am was a fantastic time to be getting up and don't think they went back to bed after than time. DH was in with P during all this too, but managed to get her down just afer 5am, and then she was woken up by older 2 "playing" about 6.15am.

That enough detail for you!!?

Arse.

DD2 seems absolutely fine today, so we are carrying on. Hoping DD3 gets beter asap, her illnesses are driving me nuts and she start with new CM on Monday!!

Eddas · 02/01/2009 09:27

oh no dippy, that sounds like a nightmare ds had a similar thing to your dd2 the week before christmas, had high temp, then was sick twice and then fine in the morning. Weird. Hope today is ok and they sleep well tonight.

I was all calm about dd starting school on the 12th but it's really starting to hit home now my little girl's gonna be a big school girl

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2009 12:08

I think sometimes it's the temp that causes them to be sick - so as the virus which causes the temp abates so does the need to be sick. It's not actually a stomach bug as such iyswim. Dd1 in particular used to do that quite a bit - sick in the night (with temp) then fine in the morning. Clearing up sick in the night is the worst isn't it? Poor Dippy and Mr Dippy

Well B came back upstairs asking for me, got into bed with me and slept till 11.45! So did I She seems fairly bright now - has just had something to eat and is playing with her big sisters - who are being so lovely! I still feel very washed out and am trying to rebuild my strength with a glass of coke and a macaroon.

Tiny bit sad too because B refused a feed last night - she's been feeding less and less and not latching very well over the last few days so I think this might be it. as she is definately my last baby that will be it for me and breastfeeding but too I guess. I worked out last night that I've notched up 42 months cumulative breastfeeding with the three of them so I guess I should just focus on that?
