my thoughts exactly!

cazboldy · 29/12/2008 23:31

sorry for being thick PPH? what's that?

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 23:52

post partum haemorrage - bloss after birth in excess of what is normal. I actually didn't notice the lack of it but I did hear the blood pouring out of me like a tap briefly and I don't want to do that again! Also dh goes pale when it's mentioned - the midwives were very good at clearing it up so I never really took it in - but he did. So it was no drama for me - but I've taken it as a warning not to push my luck.

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 23:55

bloss?? Sorry - blood loss

cazboldy · 29/12/2008 23:58

Oh of course, sorry did warn I was being thick - yes the risk of that goes up with subsequent pregnancies doesn't it? That was obviously very scary for your dh (and you afterwards)

cazboldy · 30/12/2008 00:00

Anyway now I have drunk my cider, I am off to bed! Goodnight all xx

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 00:02

It wasn't scary as such at the time - more annoying. But when I put it all together and saw 'pph' on my notes and thought about the lovely children I'd left asleep at home - well then it got a bit scary I must admit.

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 00:03

Goodnight Caz.

Hiya - I am having a very lazy morning. only been up about an hour and am about to have a bath - on my own as it's too frosty to turn out the ponies yet, so I am going to make the most of it!

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 11:29

Caz - I was woken up less than an hour ago by the Ocado man ringing to see if he could deliver early - had to get dressed very quick! Now have to motivate myself to clean the house - I feel v hungover - which isn't fair as I haven't had anything to drink! I blame the Moldies! (just kidding) Or perhaps it's the brandy laced Christmas cake I've been scoffing....

I'm off work till next week in case you were all wondering what I was doing sleeping in till 10.30.

Eddas · 30/12/2008 14:37

hi everyone

i'm bored at work. i have loads to do but i'm in the office alone, not a single other person's here!

how are you all?

we had a good christmas, nice and quiet. ds wasn't too well on boxing day nothing major just tired/hot.

we're now gearing up to sending dd off to big school on the 12th. she's desperate to go, as am I but i'm still quite sad as she's going to be a big girl and not a pre-schooler anymore i've got to label all the uniform, that'll be fun actually I must make sure it fits! Bought her a new coat on sunday. When we got home I realised it's a bit too similar to my coat hope we don't look stupid, like we're wearing matching tracksuits IYKWIM! all she needs now is new shoes and we're set. I'm waiting til next week for those, when I hope all the other school kids have gone back and town might be quieter

Hi everyone

GeordieMinx, are you about? I have something to tell you!

Has SOL been on recently? Don't think even my poo discussion lured her in.

And if it wasn't them, well gm's not mum, thanks very much for being so nice to T and admiring his pink elephant

StealthPoHoHoHo · 30/12/2008 19:30

Would she come down to Durham from CLS though? That was the other think that made me hold back a bit.

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 19:33

Maybe she was down for the sales? I mean exactly how many babies can there be in Glasgow with that birthday and lovely name and mothers from the North East? How exciting!

cazboldy · 30/12/2008 19:34
