Hi all, it's nice to be back (though it's only been a week it feels like ages since I was here)
William's MMR was about a week before Christmas, we get automatic appointments here so I just had to wait for the date. Side-effect are meant to kick in after about 10 days (Which was xmas) but William didn't have any - a good thing as he despises calpol and spits it out when given it! I fear the diseases far more than any long-term side-effects and have to say I didn't give it a second thought with either of mine. My mum had measles as a child, and while she had no long term damage she still remembers just how ill she felt.
Greedy - hope Adam is improving, how scary it must have been for you.
LOM - hope you're feeling better and I'm glad your big boss was sympathetic.
RG - I let William crawl a lot of places - though he's more of a cruiser now, because he hates being in a high chair for more than abour 10 minutes and I can't take the stropping! I don't think I'd let him loose in somewhere like Tesco though, I'd be too worried about what had been on the bottom of people's shoes too!
Well, DH coped for the 2 nights I was away, William only woke up twice each night (that's normal for him!) I thought he would be worse as he had no booby to get back to sleep on, but was happy enough with formula. He really isn't a big fan of solids, much preferring the milk which is really hard going, but we're getting there slowly. I'm hoping to finish bf by the time he's 18 months as it's just too knackering for me now, and we are discovering more food that he'll put up with! DD always sets him a good example which helps I think, often she'll finish off his leftovers too!
