Febes - well done for surviving your first day! Two friends started back today, one with a 9 month old and one with a 3 month old, they were both desperate for the day to end! I recommend the cbeebies addiction - i still use it for my own nap time while William is feeding!Well doen for Anabel's first solo steps too

Loopy - 27 kids , at least I get paid for being in the company of that many children at once!! Hope it's a good party. Sorry to hear DD3 is being a pickle at night, not sure what the solution would be for this one, it's never happened to mine as yet.

LOM - hope you had a good first day of term, bet it felt good knowing you've just got one term to go. Your trip away sounds lovely. I'm going on a spa weekend with my mum and sister this weekend before my sister disappears of to Australia for 2 years. I can't wait to be pampered, and to sleep properly!

Hi Ladies!

Ellie took her first steps tonight! I'm so proud of her! She then spent the next 30 minutes being coaxed and encouraged to "walk" between myself and DP. The most she did was 3 steps but mainly it was 2 steps, bless her.

Febes - Well done on DD walking too! Ellie also points at things and shouts that she wants them too. She sounds very much like a baby eagle because it's more a squawk than a shout haha!

Hi everyone!! happy new year!!
sorry i havent been on for soooo long! i havent had internet for a month thanks to a mix up when i changed suppiers!! grrr!
i need to catch up on everyone and will hopefully get to do that tonight!
well done ellie!! raimee has only done 2 steps once and nothing since!! who elses babies are toddling about now? ive missed so much!!
we had the hosp appt in dec, the doctor said there is a hole between the two top chambers, and the valve that takes blood to the lungs is narrow whih is causing the murmur. hopefully it ill correct itself as she grows, so they are just going to monitor it for now. if theres no change they will have to do keyhole surgery wen shes about 3 or 4, but we r praying that by then it will have fixed itself.
other than that had a really good christmas and a v quiet new year ( i dont think i can stay awake long enough anymore!), just getting stuck into wedding plans now- cant wait for that! raimees 6th tooth is about to make its appearance too!
Sam xx

RGPargy · 07/01/2009 11:53

Morning ladies!

Sam - Hello! Glad Raimee's doing well.

Loopy - you are SERIOUSLY loopy by having 27 kids!!!

Back at work today (boo, hiss) and had to wake DD up to get her ready. i absolutely HATE doing that, poor little lamb!

Nothing much to report so have a nice day ladies!

Febes · 07/01/2009 18:52

Loopy-I bought Anabel some shoes but she doesn't like them so I only put them on her when she goes out. You deserve a medal for the party well done!!!

RGPargy · 08/01/2009 11:40

Febes - i bought Ellie some shoes and she loves them! I only put them on when we go out too but she's really happy to sit on the stairs while i put them on! She looks so grown up sitting there, bless her. Cant believe how grown up she's looking.

littleoldme · 08/01/2009 18:55

Hi everyone, haven't been on properly for ages. It sounds as if we are fast becoming mothers of toddlers! Not me just yet tho, Adam still prefers a mixture of crawling and cruising. I have bought him some soft shoes and he has done the chew test on them and given them the seal of approval. Now he is moving more his face and legs are starting to emerge from all the padding that he had! Still got the lovely tum though.

27 children!!! Anyone read that book about a midwife in the East End of London in the 40s/50s who visited a mum of 24 children?

Doesn't being back at work suck?! One of my new year's resolutions was to be more positive about work but I am already muttering under my breath. LOM - you lucky thing! You still up for getting together?

littleoldme · 10/01/2009 14:05

Loopy , Loopy are you ok Loopy

Evening everyone!

I'd love to do a long hike when it's fresh and crisp outside (but sunny and dry!!).

I was in Toys R Us today and i saw some woman letting her baby CRAWL along the floor while she pushed the trolley! I'm really dont think that i would allow my baby to crawl along a floor of a shop where everyone's been walking with God knows what on the bottom of their shoes....

nothing planned for this weekend as usual. ho hum! have a lovely weekend ladies!

mmmmm..... chocolate........ hope you get some rest this weekend Loopy.

littleoldme · 11/01/2009 18:45

RG - I have to confess that I let T crawl about on pub floors and on the floor of a coffee shop we go to. He loves exploring and gets really frustrated if he has to stay in a high chair. I do supervise him closley and wash his hands - all good for the immune system I say.

Loopy - Hope you manage to get some rest X

lol fair enough LOM. I am probably just being very precious about it.

had a terrible night last night. DD woke up at 3.45 and i tried unsuccessfully for the next 2 hours to get her back to sleep. I ended up getting up with her at about 5.30 and giving her some milk. We then sat on the sofa for a couple of hours watching Come Dine With Me. Must have been boring for her tho - it sent her to sleep for an hour!! Finally crawled into bed a tearful wreck at 9.30am and woke DP up and told him it was his shift with her. I slept in until 1.30pm!!

littleoldme · 12/01/2009 19:54

I don't think you being in the least bit precious RG. After I found Tom eating mud of the pram wheels I just kind of gave up. Also, if I kept him strapped in we could never go anywhere - he's too much of a wriggler.

Hope you get a better night tonight X

had a bobbins day at work today. I had a bit of tearful rant at my big boss. She's lovely - told me to take a couple of days off !- but I do feel like an idiot.

On the plus side came home to lovely dinner by DH.

Hi everyone.

My friend pointed out two pictures of Ellie when she was 8/9 months old to me today that she'd taken with her camera in which she had a "white eye" in both pictures. They were the only two pictures where the left eye was white and none of my pictures show anything like that at all. Should i be worried and get her checked or do you think it's just the light etc?

Hope you've all had a good day.

Loopy - i have no idea when i next see my HV. We dont really have set appointments or anything and i just pop in when and if i fancy getting DD weighed. My normal HV (who is very good) works at the clinic on a Friday but i work on a friday so i have to go to a different clinic unless i take the day off or something.

DD had her MMR on Monday. now you've got me worried!! So far she's ok tho - what is it i'm supposed to be worrying about, exactly and when?

yeah i thought that's what you were referring to. I also heard that it was totally disproved too, so phew. I'd rather she didn't have measles!!!

Greedygirl · 14/01/2009 15:18

Hiya
Thanks for the reminder, must get Adam's MMR sorted out, we haven't had any appointment through yet. Ikwym Loopy, when I teach health education we always talk about the MMR scare and how it has always been disproved but it still makes me feel a bit anxious - the power of the media!

Hope Ellie is sleeping well again RG? I tend to let Adam have a toddle about in shops if he is getting arsey and it doesn't look too grim. His favourite trick at the moment is hitching a ride in the main part of the trolley. The things you do to keep them happy and get the shopping done!

I have had a couple of killer nights with Adam, he started with croup on Sunday night and we ended up in A & E cos we phoned NHS Direct and he hadn't improved after 10 minutes of standing outside in the cold so they called an ambulance! I nearly lost the plot but held it together and by the time the paramedics came he was fine, even graced them with a snotty smile! But they advised us to go to hospital and get it checked out so we were there for yonks but the main thing is he is fine. He is full of cold and got a chesty cough so night times are crapola and me and my DH have got bags on our bags.

Why did you have a crap day LOM?

Loopy - I am very very re your sleeping beauty. Have you knocked the bfeeding completely on the head now then or just at nights? I am defo going to wean him off night time feeds as soon as he is better.

Febes · 14/01/2009 19:45

Anabel has her MMR on Friday. Hope she doesn't get the fever is it a week after???
