Greedy - Adam and William are so similar - William took his first steps on Tuesday too! he thinks it's hilarious and collapses in fits of giggles every time

Hope you had a lovely birthday birthday RG.

LOM - I agree a good sleep is wonderful. I had one Saturday night when I stayed at my mum's.

My sister has gone to Australia for 2 years . She flew out on Sunday morning, I went to the airport with my parents hence the stayover as we had to leave really early. It was really odd saying goodbye, but at least it's easy to keep in touch these days.
On the Saturday we went out for a meal in Brighton where she lived, and Peter Andre and Katie Price were in the same restaurant. I, however, was totally oblivious to this as I had DD with me. Apparently I walked right past their table and missed their glowing orange faces!!

Greedygirl · 22/01/2009 21:00

Evening all
Jetgirl - they are on the same page! Although Adam mostly looks like he is going to walk and we all hold our breath then he falls over. Will you get over to see your sister do you think? 24 hour flight with 2 LOs ! LOL re the Peter & Katie thing. Your DD much more interesting than them.
RG - I keep meaning to ask you how did it go with your mum's visit? I know it was ages ago. Did your journey go OK and what did your mum think to Ellie?
LOM - so jealous of your long sleep but it sounds as though you have been sleep deprived for a while so good for you! Wouldn't it be amazing to have a whole day and night to yourself and no chores to do?! I would lie in until 3 in the afternoon, have a long bath, order a take away then go back to bed and read. The job is to do with developing links between the voluntary and statutory sector so nothing to do with teaching (harking back to my old days of working in social care). I can't make up my mind if it is would be a bit yawnsome. The word "stategic" is mentioned lots in the job description which is what scared me. I am easily scared!

RGPargy · 22/01/2009 22:00

LOM - Glad you had a great big sleep. It's great when it's much needed isn't it! Shame the kitchen and conservatory still aren't done. That's the one thing that scares me about home improvements - i would just feel so stressed if the house was a building site like that for so long. How are you coping with the upheaval?

Jet - I bet your sister will have a ball out in Oz! The lucky blighter!! How can you miss Katie and Peter?!!

Greedy - Mum's visit was ok thanx. The airport trip wasn't too bad although DD did get exceptionally bored on the way home in the car (understandably). Only saw mum once while she was over. She thought DD was gorgeous but obviously DD wasn't too keen on her as she was a completely stranger, for all intents and purposes.

DD is walking and trying to talk more and more now. She says a very good "cat" and tries to say "keys" and "bye", along with a good "ta". She's so keen to speak, bless her!

Jet - How on earth did you miss them. If you weren't blinded by their incandecent glowing faces, then surely Katie's assests must have been unavoidable. Never short of somewhere to park her bicycle that one.

RG - The home improvements aren't too stressful really. Our house was in such a state that everything makes even better - even bare plaster walls are an improvement. DH is doing it himself and so is saving us a small fortune.

Greedy - Strategic is ok. If anyone mentions mentions 'blue sky thinking ' or 'thinking outside the box' then run a mile.

Must go - T is calling X

Hi everyone haven't posted for a while but have been keeping up. Not much going on here just wanted spring to begin now. Anabel is doing lots of wobbly walking but I wouldn't say she is actually walking yet. She had diaoriah (sp?) yesterday and was off her food a bit but I think she is better today. I'm 25 weeks now and feeling really good getting lots of kicks- this one seems more active. I'm glad to say I don't feel that PG but bump is huge. Bigger than I remember at this stage with Anabel.

LOM- We have plastered walls all over the house and plaster dust on our first floor. The builders will finish the loft some time this week and then DH will take over with tiling, painting and the million other jobs that need to be done. We seem to live in a building site constantly as well but you just get on with it don't you. Still need to finish the kitchen, sand floors on ground level, strip back Anabels room and have plastered, strip back lounge and have plastered, plaster doorstairs hallway, decorate loft room and move in, paint everywhere, carpet stairs and bedrooms, completely renovate our main bathroom and then last redo the conservatory as it was built years ago and has broken glass panes and isn't double glazed so can't really be used in winter at all.

Oh goodness when I write it like that it feels like we will never finish!!! As soon as its done we will hopefully sell it and pay off all our debt and move to NZ for an easy life (probably buy another house needing renovation!!)

Loopy- your movie night sounds brilliant. I still haven't seen Mamma mia but did see it at the theatre years ago and loved it. I miss wine!!!

RGPargy · 24/01/2009 21:40

Loopy - We managed to finally film DD tonight taking some wobbly steps. It was great!! do you think Ellie is saying alot then?? She's added another "word" to her repetoire this morning - she now says "nyum nyum nyum" when she eats anything nice!! Think she got that from MIL lol!!

Sounds like you had a blast at your film night. hope your friend's delivery goes ok!

LOM - i suppose it was in a terrible state beforehand, then anything is improving. Fair enough!

Febes - 25 weeks already?!! blimey, hasn't the time flown!! Am very of your bump. I pointed out to DP that we had "bedroom relations" () around 14th Feb, we'd have another December baby! He quickly pointed out that he would no way be impregnating me anytime soon. Bugger.

jetgirl · 26/01/2009 22:34

RG - Ellie sounds very chatty (girls develop speech quicker than boys I've heard), she says way more than William.

Febes - I hope you manage to get your house finished. We're rubbish at stuff like that and it always takes years for us to complete anything like that. Only 15 weeks to go - I hope Anabel lets you put your feet up!

LOM - I still don't get how I missed them, I was obviously in brilliant devoted mum mode looking after DD

Loopy - my sister served Jordan when she worked at Monsoon, she said she was really up herself and a complete bitch to a girl who asked for her autograph. Your film night sounds great fun.

We had Inset day today. It was a planning day and I managed to get loads done, so came home feeling like I had achieved a lot. William has become very cheeky at bedtime now. This evening he kept pinching my boob, then stopping his feed to babble at me and point around the darkened room, then grinning inanely before finally giving me kisses (which he has just mastered and I love!) finishing his feed and falling asleep. It took an hour to put him down tonight! He definitely tries to avoid going to bed. I think he is worried he's missing out on all the fun!

Hi guys
Loopy - top tips for hardcore mums! I would love another LO, DH not so keen but even I have moments when I think - how does anyone manage with more than 1! And Adam is pretty easygoing. What do you think of the octuplet (spelling?) mummy?! I was trying to imagine having 8 Adams all at once but it blew my mind.

Jetgirl - Adam definately fights sleep more these days. Used to guarantee that he would be asleep by 8 but that is no longer the case. I am definatley going to start taking him swimming and doing other knackering activities once his chesty cough has cleared up.

Anyone read babybroofing your marriage? Me and DH having normal ups and downs and I saw it in the library and it is making me chuckle and feel very reassured. Apparently sex is a big deal to men. Who knew ?!

gawd i think you are all brave having more LOs when our current LOs are still so tiny!! Having said that, i am yearning for another little baby and would like to start trying for another in, say, 6 months. DP however is adamant that we will just assess it in 6 months lol.

Greedy - I heard that sex was a big deal to men too! DP has made that clear to me too whereas i really couldn't give a flying fig about sex atm!

Loopy - lol @ DD3 saying "ow"!! I could roll off a list of all the words DD says but i wouldn't want to bore you all or have you think that i'm boasting!

Loopy - is that you in the picture??!

awww bless, so sweet!! I'm very that you got to have DD3 in the water. Me and bloody "waiting for the pain to get bad before i get in" way of thinking meant it never got bad enough for me to think about it and then hey presto, out pops DD! I must say that DD1 looks very much like DH in that picture! I always thought you'd have blonde hair too, for some reason lol Nice to put a name to a face anyway, even if in the throws of childbirth!

Loopy- Thanks for your mummy to 2 under 2 survival tips. I will deffo get a sling and babyproofing everything is a great idea as I remember being stuck on the couch feeding all day in those early days. Luckily my mum, dad and aunty are coming for first few weeks so lots of extra eyes and hands around to help. Also May baby so we have summer on our side I think it will be easier than Nov baby for getting out and about.
Regarding relationship with DH we are very happy and close at the moment and respect eachothers parenting skills so much but I must say sex has completely gone out the window for the last few months so hopefully we can get back on track soon. Its so hard with work, Anabel and our house being permantley dusty and millions of jobs to do.
Anabel is sick at the moment she vomitted all over herself and me when I was outside my CMs house yesterday morning so I had to go in and clean us up and ring work and then go home and we spent the day cuddling on the couch. She went to CM today but is still not right so will spend tomorrow with DH and then I have friday off so she has a chance to get better.
