P.S. glad to see that William and Adam are still synchronising their development!

jetgirl · 29/10/2009 08:44

Greedy - funny how similar they are isn't it?! Will give the feminax a try, have been trying to avoid painkillers as I have taken so much for my shoulder in the last week (just ibuprofen but even so I don't like taking things for more than a few days).

Girly day with my daughter today and lunch with other mummies. Nice!

littleoldme · 31/10/2009 09:17

Hi - all. Life has been busy of late, hence my absence.

Dh has had an office move - being the only IT person in his comany he;s been very busy and worked a six day week last week which was very pants. We've had lovely friends to stay, T has been ill and we've had a new bathroon installed. This weekend is going to full of peace and quiet.

Jet - Period pain is the pits isn't it. I can highly recommend Feminax as Greedy said. It's got hyocine in which is a muscle relaxant.

T is causing much amusement by pretending to be a plumber ( he took the guy who did the bathroom0 He keeps putting his hand on the radiatord, looks quizzical for a moment and then declares that, "Radiator's OK"

We had a fab day out with Greedy and Adam yesterday and The Deep in Hull. The boys seemed quite impressed with the fish but were beside themselves with the lights set into the floor.

Better go and get Dh up. 9.15 is more than enough of lie in.

awww bless T, LOM. How sweet!! These days DD is very proud to announce that she's "naughty!"

jetgirl · 02/11/2009 20:52

LOM - that is very sweet!

RG -

William asked for a snack when I picked him up from nursery today. he asked for a 'nana first then remembered that he's learnt a new word and asked for loclate (chocolate) instead! Quite proud really

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 03/11/2009 14:02

Our babies are turning 2 this month (and next month RG) I can't believe it!!!

Life with two is starting to settle down but it has been a really hectic 6 months. DS is still waking loads in the night and Anabel is very active in the day so not much rest for me.

My sister is 33 weeks with identical twin boys and has been admitted until they are born now as she needs monitoring so I might have 2 shiny new nephews soon.

Greedygirl · 03/11/2009 20:43

I know I can't believe it either! Been feeling quite broody recently.

Wow, identical twins! Has she got any other children?

It took Adam a long time to learn "mummy" but about 1 day to learn "choc choc", "chippies" and "cake" .

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 03/11/2009 21:49

She has a DS who is 2.3 . Anabel only says Mummy when whinging or crying .

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 04/11/2009 09:25

My nephews were born!! Both over 2 kgs but in neonatal for up to 3 weeks yet. The specialists said her placenta wasn't working so the babies weren't growing properly for the past two weeks which is why they had to be born but they are doing well. She had 19 people in the OR at one point not counting her and my mum. Her DH was at her dance recital rehersal with 150 litttle girls so he is the star of the day. The show is on Sunday so she might be able to go but her DH said only in the audience. He is a truck driver but has been helping with her recitals for 10 years. This is the first year with her own school so very important that it goes well.

Ryan David 2045
Nate Blair 2010

I'm so happy and proud and homesick.

jetgirl · 04/11/2009 10:01

Wow febes! That's a good weight for ones so early - my DD was 2500 at 42 weeks!! When will you be able to get over and see them? Are they in NZ?

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 04/11/2009 11:21

Yes in NZ I hope we will be moving back in about a years time. Won't see them till then but that they are well and here.

Greedygirl · 04/11/2009 14:21

Oh wow, congrats to you and your lovely (growing) family! At least we have the internet etc. now so you can do some virtual baby sniffing. I would love to be a fly on the wall when you all meet up next year!

Adam is full of mischief today and mostly laughing at his own private jokes.

RGPargy · 04/11/2009 20:46

Congrats Febes!!! How wonderful!

Nothing really to report this end. I cant believe our bunch or almost 2! I think it's pretty sad really coz we cant say their ages in months when they get to 2 and their baby-dom will be gone forever!!! Ah well, many years of toddler-dom to come and much fun to be had! I have to say that although i'm sad that my baby is not really a baby anymore, i am looking forward to being able to do more with her, i.e. cooking and making things with stuff like beads and glitter etc. Do you guys do that already??

jetgirl · 04/11/2009 20:46

Greedy - I love it when they amuse themselves. Went for a walk with William today and he had to stamp in every puddle and laugh every time; with his cough his laugh sounds more cheeky than usual.

Febes - I know how much you'll be missing them, my sis has been in Australia for 10 months now and I miss her lots. She gets to see lots of pics on facebook of the kids, I created an album just for her so she can see them growing up.

Loving the new emoticon!

jetgirl · 04/11/2009 21:00

Hi
DH here today so he got the DCs up so I could have an extra hour in bed as R was up feeding, playing and talking in the night.
We had a scare yesterday. We went for a walk to town when DH got home from working at about 4 and Anabel wanted to walk as I've been encouraging her to walk so she is worn out and naps . Anyway we started swinging her in between us in a lovely family moment until we managed to wrench her elbow out of its socket . We went to a & e and she cried for 2 hours in my arm with her arm hanging at her side. We hade been waiting for an hour and a half when she suddenly sat up and pointed at something out the window . She then got down from my lap and started playing with both arms with the toys . I think her arm must have gone back into place by itself!!
She's fine now but has a small bruise on the inside of her elbow. Won't be doing that again.

This morning she has been a little monkey. I went to my neighbour for a cuppa and she got her tin of cat food off the table and fed the cat (and herself) the cats bowl was full of cat food and the cat was looking very pleased. Then we came home and I was folding the washing in the dining room. I came back into the lounge and she had taken Rs jeans off, undone his vest and taken off his nappy . Luckily it wasn't full of poo I'm not sure what she would have done!!!

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 06/11/2009 14:09

Congrats LMB thats fab news . Great name.

littleoldme · 06/11/2009 14:16

Febes - blimey I'm glad Anabel is ok; that must have given you a real fright. We won't be doing it anymore either!

Glad that she is showing such an interest in her little brother!

T is ill again. Poor lamb has got the most projectile of vomit. He seems to be on the mend now which is good as we've been stuck in three days and I'm beginning to feel like I'm on big brother.

have good weekends one and all X

RGPargy · 06/11/2009 14:58

Febes - ouch! My friend's DD had the same thing happen to her. My other friend also had the same thing happen to her DS many many moons ago when he was little. It's quite common i think but thankfully they pop back in easily.

LOM - Poor little T. Hope he gets better very soon.

jetgirl · 06/11/2009 21:22

Febes - my uncle did something similar to my cousin in an attempt to stop her falling from a chair and hurting herself - the irony! The nurses had to comfort him more than my cousin apparently! Anabel sounds such a poppet - lovely to have such a 'helpful' child! William is obsessed with nappy changes for every toy we have, but hates having his own done!

LOM - poor T, hope he's feeling better soon.

RG - have done biscuits with William, but avoid glitter and beads as glitter gets everywhere and I know he'd just eat the beads! I have glitter glue and glitter paint which is marginally less messy. He wanted to play with play dough the other day and just kept eating that much to his amusement

Been shopping today as William needed new shoes, and somehow I ended up with a beautiful new winter coat - reduced from £290 to £100 - good old TKMaxx! Italian, wool and cashmere blend and it fitted soperfectly i couldn't not have it. And seeing as I am increasing my hours by one full day soon I could just about justify the expense

Greedygirl · 09/11/2009 22:27

Flipping heck, I'll have to stop doing that with Adam too Febes! Poor Annabel, glad she was OK in the end.

Congratulations to LMB, love the name, hope you and your family are all well.

I haven't done many crafty things with Adam RG. Our dining table is in our lounge and the thought of paints in there is , I am not particularly house proud but I bet Adam could make a minute amount of paint go a looooooooooooooong way if yoghurts are anything to go by! We did some baking last night and he was eating the ingredients faster than I could make the biscuits.

Been to a brilliant new music and dance group last week, I had been going to the same music class since Adam was 3 months old so I felt really disloyal! The new class was a bit noisy and chaotic to begin with but by the end Adam was up and dancing and he has been singing the hokey cokey ever since!

Jetgirl - I love TKMax for toys and home stuff but I have never managed to find any clothes in there that look right on me, great bargain .

Hope you and Thomas fully recovered now LOM, I am dreading the next sickness bug as he hasn't been poorly for ages and you just know it is going to happen eventually...One of the girls that he goes to CM with has had scarlet fever! Yikes.

Love the new symbol. I imagine it is being used a lot on the AIBU threads.

RGPargy · 12/11/2009 11:23

Morning ladies!

I had a phone call on Tuesday from Ellie's preschool, asking if she wanted to start in January!!! Has anyone else got their LOs starting preschool soon?? I'm really not sure if it's too early or not coz she'll only be 2 years and 1 month old....
