I think Chuffed is on holiday isn't she? Anyway, I think it's her dd's birthday today so if it is HAPPY BIRTHDAY baby Chuffed It is my ds' tomorrow - can't quite believe it!!!

Happy birthday all the lo's who are this week!

I just got ds's outfit for our wedding...
It's a little pair of black trousers, a long sleeve white shirt and a lilac and cream waistcoat and cravat. It's so lush

I got him one of those dribble bandanas too, well I got him four (3 for just normally) as they as so so gorgeous but the lovely person made me a special lilac bowtie one! (didn't think he could be in all our wedding photos in a matalan 'cow goes moo' bib!)

Are Fennel and Chuffed away? Didn't one of them go to Turkey recently?

Trying to decide on a holiday for us later this year..

handlemecarefully · 31/03/2005 20:24

Dolbear - lol, I doubt he will have grown out of it by Saturday.

I'm going to a wedding on Saturday too (how is that for a coincidence then) but without the kids. My parents are down from North Yorkshire specifically to look after them.

It is one of those weddings where children are not really encouraged. I suppose I should be offended but actually I am quite pleased about it because dh and I can relax and enjoy ourselves.

Lunavix - did you get the two books that I sent?

hewlettsdaughter · 31/03/2005 21:47

lunavix, Chuffed is in Turkey and Fennel has been away too.

DH and dd fell out of a bus today - the front wheels of the buggy missed the kerb and they both plunged off. DD ended up virtually upside down suspended by her straps apparently (I wasn't there). She had a nosebleed and has a graze on her nose but is ok. It was a heart-stopping moment when I heard though!

handlemecarefully · 31/03/2005 22:08

Oh dear HD! Did everyone rally around to help?

Well down to Yorkiegirl junior. Unsupported steps at this tender age!

Which mumsnetter's hotel out of curiousity?

hewlettsdaughter · 31/03/2005 22:39

Everyone's fine, thanks for asking - though I think DH has been having an attack of the guilts (I know how he feels - something similar happened to me with ds once). HMC, the bus driver got off and proffered tissues to help clean dd up.
Well done YG's dd

HD, glad everyone's OK - must've been a shock for all concerned. Nice bus driver!

YG - awww!

Luna - love the sound of the outfit your DS has (and agree about the bib...!)

TracyK · 01/04/2005 11:22

ds up at 1.25am and chatted till 3am - only 4 oz of milk and half a spoon of calpol would get him back to sleep. Maybe my cold, maybe some teeth??

LucyJones · 01/04/2005 17:33

Happy Birthday to you

Hello! Just to say ds2 took his first steps today!! He'd been practising standing up on his own all day, and then took 2 steps from me to his other Mummy this afternoon!!! So proud - and so pleased I wasn't at work when it happened!!!

Mind you, he's also had a soaring temperature on and off since Thursday - about 39.6 today. Calpol's keeping it at bay but we keep dithering about whether to take him to the GP. Nearly took him to A&E today as he went all limp and a funny colour - and didn't want to eat , but then 20 minutes later the Calpol had kicked in and he spent the next 3 hours entertaining us all - and walking! Meanwhile me and dp are utterly exhausted from the rollercoaster of being worried about him. Think we'll take him to the GP's tomorrow anyway...

TracyK · 03/04/2005 20:23

congrats on the walking dot - have the others moved to the new thread? or is it a temporarythread?

lunavix · 03/04/2005 20:39
