Is Stratford easy to get to by trains? Else might count us out...

MrsDoolittle · 25/03/2005 10:26

Stratford is lovely!

hewlettsdaughter · 25/03/2005 11:44

Coming from Berkshire you'd probably change at Banbury lunavix.

I don't mind Stratford or Birmingham. I know Stratford and I knew Birmingham once (though I think it's changed since I was a student).

TracyK · 25/03/2005 12:33

stratford was where i was thinking of too.

hewlettsdaughter · 27/03/2005 20:29

MrsD, your thread on breastfeeding really took off didn't it!
Did you see that letter from the MP on thewaynatureintended.org (under Associated files)?
It was an mn thread that originally alerted me to the recent Scottish legislation.

Happy Easter everyone. I'm feeling pretty exhausted today - had my sister's family to stay - 8 and 10 year old so ds has done lots of playing

dolbear · 28/03/2005 10:54

hello eveyone
sorry have not been around best mate getting marries on the 2nd , gone a bit mad ! we got people staying here and whatnot
stratford is funky with us !! as in bucks no problemo !
nice and sunny here 2-day

TracyK · 28/03/2005 14:07

phew - our guests have just gone to the airport. Is it just girls - or is it other peoples kids. But what whingers! one out of the two of them was always crying or having a strop. ds was a little angel most of the time and just looked at them as if they were crazy for crying. Although their dds sleep for 12-13 hours a night rather than ds 10-11 - so I don't spose you can have evreything.

dot1 · 28/03/2005 14:12

I think it's other people's kids - since I've had my own I'm far less patient with everyone else's..!

Having a lovely Easter but I'm exhausted!! Off work until Thursday but I'm not sure I'll make it - definitely be going back for a rest!!

Ooh, the first to post today!! We have proper crawling today!!!! Just in time for ds' birthday on Friday. Think he was saving it to show ff to the grandparents Keeps goig for the TV though - grrr.....

handlemecarefully · 29/03/2005 22:58

TracyK - one of them was 3 years old wasn't she? You just wait, toddlers are queens / kings of whinge! Most of them have it down to a fine art...oooh just think, you've got all that to look forward to.

handlemecarefully · 29/03/2005 22:59

Well done jones junior with the crawling!

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 23:33

Hello lovely April ladies and babies!

Congratulations to KristinaM! One of my friends is due in September and has a March babe - similar gap I suppose? Am totally broody myself - hoping for a BFP soon

DS is one on Sunday - can hardly believe it! He's having a paddling pool/ballpond for his birthday as well as the funky footprints thing from ELC (figured it could be rolled up or slid under the sofa - thinking space-saving see!). I'm going to get the gorgeous sampler my friend did when he was born framed beautifully too.

Will try to visit the April 04 thread more often - I get caught up in playing silly buggers on other threads and only think to when I see it in Active Convos Happy Birthday to all the April babies

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 23:38

And well done to MiniLJ on the crawling front! Make sure everything's on high shelves or pinned down now...

KristinaM · 29/03/2005 23:41

thanks Hm, am still in shock

dot1 · 30/03/2005 09:40

ooh - KristinaM - sorry, hadn't realised - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Ds came out with his first proper word yesterday - Teddy - closely followed by his second word - Doggie - all in one day!! Needless to say he hasn't said them today, but I had witnesses yesterday!

TracyK · 30/03/2005 09:54

after being such a good sleeper of late ds woke at 4.30am this morning - however he had a late nap yesterday 2-4.15pm - so maybe that didn't help. Tho he went back to sleep with daddy in bed and I went to the spare room with a nose full of snot.

LucyJones · 30/03/2005 12:35

Wow words - just as my ds catches up with the crawling someone starts saying something

hewlettsdaughter · 30/03/2005 15:45

LJ. Only word dd manages is "A-da"(I don't know what it means, if indeed it means anything!). She can babble dadada but I haven't heard mumumum yet. Her '8-month' check was supposed to be tomorrow but has just been cancelled by the HVs (sigh...)
Happy birthday to those soon to be one!

dolbear · 30/03/2005 17:02

ooo congrats Kristina v exciting my b/mate has discovered she is pg - and she is getting married on sat , and moveing hse when she gets back from h/moon , i thought | was busy
v exciting on the crawling mmm , yes ds LOVES switching the TV off ! what a fab game - not

lunavix · 30/03/2005 17:54

Ds is one on the 15th (still haven't done much in the way of present shopping! ) he can do bababa, mamama, and favavava but no dadada or actual words. Not sure he means me with the mumumumum either though!

Crawling is at high speed !

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 20:12

well Hd I can tell you what ada means coz my DS says it too. It means Anna, his big sister. Your baby is so clever!!!

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 20:15

Oh dolbear that's great news for your BF. Dont envy her the house move but would have another wedding day if I could....I loved it. ( for the avoidance of doubt I mean to the same DH). Hope you all have a lovely time at the wedding.

dolbear · 31/03/2005 09:27
