My alternative was a Welsh folk song called Suo Gan (Sleep My Baby) (according to google).

I have spent the last week (on and off) listening to Rolf Harris on the request of DS1 who just loves him It explains my need for crappy music channles at midnight, much as I love folk music...

Morning ladies

Thanks for the advice re anxiety etc....it may be interfering....I'll see how I am...poor DH is really getting the brunt of it....so he tells me anyway....although everything he says atm seems to be intended to wind me up ..we're not having an easy time atm and we're both too stubborn to back down...

Off to GP this morning with DD about her tongue...as predicted, she is a grumpy moo this morning and also had me awake a couple of times in the night....

Jammy hope DD settled for you...

Sputnik....all that talk about Italy last night sounds lovely....where about are you based? I'd LOVE to go (not Venice though.....don't do lots of water)....it just looks fab and the food.......Is your DH Italian? Bet you're all really pissed off after last night's results?

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2008 08:45

Happy birthday to DS Holly

Izzybel · 23/06/2008 08:51

Morning!
New thread already?
Hope your DD is ok at the GP Norty.
MIL and FIL went to Venice quite recently and had a really good time.

Was supposed to be going to M and B group today, but DD has been really out of sorts this morning. She woke up and screamed at about 6 am and then went back to sleep, then when she woke up again at 7.45 she just seemed really tired and was really weepy, and wouldn't have her bottle so I have just put her dummy in and let her go back to sleep.

Izzybel · 23/06/2008 08:52

Happy Birthaday to Holly's DS! Hope you all have a great day!

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/06/2008 10:30

Happy Birthday Hollys DS!!

Hope all goes well at the GPs Norty. Think it must be something in the water with los - Ds over the last two days has been waking up loads and refusing to settle as quickly as he woule normally. Absoultely agree with what the others said about irritable when prg - esp with when have other child/children to look after too. I was very grumpy from week 8 to about week 20ish as was feeling rough/nervous but then very grumpy towards end when just wanted to rest, but DD didn't want me to

PMSL Ria at the hobbit comments Ria, theres nothing like a bit of Ria wit to light our lives....

andiem · 23/06/2008 10:43

morning all

Happy Birthday to Holly's ds

hope dd is ok at the gps norty

am seriously considering getting ds2 mmr done early as there is a big measles outbreak in london and I live in sw london which has some of the lowest immunisation rates he has his development check on fri so am going to ask gp about it

morning sg my ds2 has a snotty nose but isn't grumpy this am

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/06/2008 10:56

Sounds like a good idea to me andi. Am thinking of getting it over and done with to, just thinking you never know what germs DD is bringing back from school. Theres foot & mouth and chicken pox lurking at the mo here

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/06/2008 11:06

Holly, when you're around any chance you could post that link for the sling again please ? I just can't find it in the old thread.

lackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2008 11:15

LOL Ria.....fab thread title

Happy Birthday to Holly's DS Hope you have alovely day.

scan went well....everything looking normal and in the right place and the right size

DH was a bit miffed though as the sonographer made him stay out of the room with DD until she had done all the measurements. It meant I got a better look though as she showed me everything then did her measurements and then we got to see it all again when DH came in

andiem · 23/06/2008 11:16

glad the scan went well daisy

lackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2008 11:23

......and it's a blue one

even an untrained idiot like me could see that without being told

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/06/2008 11:30

Whahey Daisy!! good news on scan and a blue one

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/06/2008 11:32

You can put DSs old stuff to good use then..

Just in process of trying to ebay all my Dcs old clothes, it very tedious listing it all....

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 23/06/2008 11:32

Hurrah for daisy's blue bump!! Are you happy? If you need any baby boy's clothes you know where to come! Glad everything is where it should be!

Birthday going well so far! Ds has opened his pressies and is sat in the living room with dd playing with them. He loves his cars and his tools! We are going to go to the park for a picnic soon, so hopefully dp can come home for an hour or so and give us a lift come with us!

Norty, I was shit at being pg and every day felt like a supreme effort...especially being nice to people, that didn't come so easily! It is completely normal, what with the MS and being knackered and with another dc to look after...you are allowed to be kranky!

lackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2008 11:45

DH is keen to tell his brother and get first dibs on some of the twins' clothes as they have double of everything to get rid of.

I gave all DSs baby stuff away unfortunately, but this bub is sorted from age 4 and up.

now we have to think of a suitalbe name...we are absolutely stumped on this one.

Oh, and I just sold my first internet auction item....a pack of Kushies nappies that we were given. I'm v excited about it. Now, do I need to print off an invoice to send, or just send the nappies?

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2008 11:47

Hi all

Oh Daisy that's FAB ...I'm so excited for you

DD has got thrush apparently....a bit of a relief really, although she wouldn't stick her tongue out so couldn't really see the extent of it! Well try the drops and see how we get on....and the rash is viral (well what a bloody surprise)....and they won't do her MMR until I am 18 weeks pg.....Andie is that over-cautious do you think or sensible? What do you think the risks are to DD (although I'm glad I don't live where you do given current outbreak).

Thanks for advice re feeling really irritable....hoping its just within normal limits atm....will try and be nice to DH (not that nice though although that's probably part of the problem IYKWIM). I was very anxious at docs this morning....if it carries on I will go back....but its very unlikely they'll give me anything until I'm over 12 weeks??? Who knows. If I can calm things down at home, I might feel better.

Right DD is wanting her lunch - later x

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2008 11:48

Daisy, wait until they pay you before you send

lackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2008 11:50

Is there a potential problem with the MMR around pregnant women then Norty? i know they can get a mild case of the diseases, but I didn't think they were infectious. DD is due hers next week I think.

I hope her throat sorts itself out soon...poor wee thing; thrush is horrible, wherever it manifests itself.

How is you gallbladder holding out with the pregnancy?

oh, she's paid by paypal already

lackaDAISYcal · 23/06/2008 11:52

mhc....he wanted a boy as he already has a little sister, so wanted a little brother this time! fair point really.

LittleMissNorty · 23/06/2008 12:02

The MMR thing is protect me I think as she is given attenuated viruses????

Gall bladder doing OK - just being careful what I eat. (although I did have a chinese Sat night - although it didn't stay down ....perhaps that's why gall bladder is fine!)

If she has paid Daisy, you can send it.
