Thanks daisy, I just hope it'll do up round my norks of plenty!

Nice bag, it is very grown up, like a proper lady's bag! I'm not very good at grown up tasteful bags! This is my changing bag, this is my winter handbag and this is my summer one! I have no taste and I am a child!

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 05/07/2008 22:11

hello all

sorry it has taken a while to get back to you all, been reeling a bit from the news.
seems it is not michaels bowel but his liver and kidneys that are the problem. they wouldnt say waht was wrong only that it requires urgant attention, and he has got to lose alot of weight. possible kidney transplant was mentioned, but alot of it went over my head.

am feeling very worried, but as tey still havent told us what is wrong still feeling very much floating around.

thank you for all your concerns i will keep in touch.

natty x

justRia · 05/07/2008 22:14

No help from me re bags.

Sky are indeed shite. They still owe us £87 which they took direct debit without asking last month, and we have no extra channels ATM, they have promised not to cut off our internet and phone as we are not disputing that part of the bill so have paid it. I bet they do though.

damn Asda and their inconvenience meals (this container is not suitable for conventional ovens)

meant to type feeling in limbo.. floating around was what my fingers typed.. think im tired..

and doctor who was very sad i shed tons of tears.. but my hunky david is still in it so i am happy!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/07/2008 22:15

Goodness natty, have they told you what exactly is wrong? It seems to have been going on for a while now. Put your foot down and demand some answers. Is it very serious? Hope you both and the los are ok. If you need anything we are all here.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 05/07/2008 22:19

the way doctor said it sounds like its very serious.. you know sometimes they just dont want to tell you. arse! i just need to know where i stand, checked on the life insurance and i think we are up to date i have to ring them in the morning to check for sure..
you see the thing is if they dont tell me im gonna think the worst.. so how is that helping?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/07/2008 22:24

Exactly natty. They need to tell you what is wrong so you can deal with it emotionally. If it is serious you have to get your head round it and if it's not then it'll put your mind at rest. I hope it is not as bad as you think it might be. Keep us updated if you can and fingers crossed xxx

lackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2008 22:24

Oh, natty, I'm so sorry to hear that about DH, but thank goodness it isn't bowel cancer.

Not that failing kidneys are a good thing, but kidney transplants are very common with a fantastic success rate. Can only imagine what you are going through though and hope that you get more information soon. Can you call and talk to someone about what the problem is, say it wasn't clear to you? When are you going back to see them?

justRia · 05/07/2008 22:26

Natty, I don't know what to say. Hang in there, and second what the others have said about trying to get it explained again. X

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2008 22:27

natty, they have to tell you. they will send a copy of all the stuff to your GP. Can you make an appointment to see them. alternatively call the patient liaison service at the hospital and explain that you haven't been given a definitive answer and need to talk to someone about what happens next and the extent of the problem.

Take Care and let us know if we can help in any way.

lackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2008 22:46

lol i took that FB quiz and it said I'll have two boys and a girl . I'm impressed, although the questions are so much bolleaux.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 05/07/2008 22:52

justRia · 05/07/2008 22:57

Natty. So sorry. I hope they give you some proper answers soon, and of course more that they can do whatever is necessary for your DH. Fingers (and everything) crossed for you both.

Sorry some of you got rained out yesterday. Looks like my Dad's visit here is going to be pretty wet, which might spoil our plans. But we are going to get deliberately wet this morning - Dad is coming swimming (well for a splash and some playing in the pool) with me & the jamlet

Am also rubbish at shopping for self now btw, and loved last night's Dr Who.

justRia · 06/07/2008 10:07

morning all. Still got an evil headache despite laying off the booze completely last night

DH sleeping in this morning. I am plucking up the courage to drive to the supermarket to stock up on veg for a bit of healthy eating drive (til the cooking novelty wears off). It is a bit wet so no exciting plans.

Camping sounds fun MHC.

Enjoy your swim jammy. Have a good day everyone.

it's raining here as well and we wanted to go for a bike ride

jammy have a lovely time with your dad

ria hope your headache gets better

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/07/2008 10:12

that you didn't get the answers you needed Natty. I really hope all is ok for you all. I agree with the others, you should ring the hospital/your Gp and demand some answes - they can't just leave you in limbo. Whatever the news is, you need to know it.

Thanks for that site Daisy, I will hve a good look.

andiem · 06/07/2008 10:12

natty sorry to see your news hope they can sort out what is wrong with dh soon

andiem · 06/07/2008 10:13

morning fairy did you get a lie in?

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 10:15

hi Ria....the boys have gione fishing in the rain here . DD and I are just chilling; after my very busy two days have knackered me and my hips have seized this morning. I might make it to the supermarket later as well. Am going to ALDI as I';m sick fed up spending £100 in sainsbos and it not even lasting a full week.

Will be doing a menu plan this morning and only buying what I need (in addition to what I have in already) in a desperate attempt to save money.

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 10:19

hi andie and fairy

bugger...DD has just got to a coffee mug that DH had left on a reachable shelf and poured it over herself and the floor whilst draining the dregs. Don't know how much was in the cup, but DH likes his coffee strong and it smells like espresso. I'll watch with interest!

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 10:19

caffeine won't hurt her will it?

justRia · 06/07/2008 10:19

Do you think Aldi is cheaper for veg? I was thinking I might go to Morrisons. I have to do my supermarket shop in two stints because I can't bear to hand over so much money in one go

Holly, when you have veggie churry/chill and stuff, so you make a meat one for DH, does he eat veggies, or do you just give him grilled meat on the side? I was looking at SW recipes for chrries and stuff, but I don't think DH would be that impressed with veggie stuff, so was thinking lamb chops on the side...

Sorry, am rambling this morning
