I don't like your chances of getting her to have a morning sleep, Daisy - but otherwise I'm sure she'll be fine.

I did get a lie-in, until 8:30. She slept over 13 hours, I must really have worn her out

andiem · 06/07/2008 10:29

yipppee fairy

right off to kingston with ds1 to spend his birthday vouchers and have a sneaky baby free frappucino

justRia · 06/07/2008 10:29

Have a good time Andiem, and hope it's done quickly Ria.

DD and I are having some "quality" CBeebies time before DH and DS get back and chaos rules once again

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 11:00

She obviously didn't have too much as she has gone down for her snooze without a murmur. I gave her a bottle of milk to help wash it out of her system!

Ria, spinach and potato curry, with a spicy lamb chop on the side sounds just divine

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 11:03

andie, enjoy your baby free afternoon.

Am watching countryfile...is that too sad and middle aged???

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2008 13:25

I watch countryfile as well

Natty - sorry to hear your news. You are entitled to get copies of every letter written to GPs etc (we automatically give our patients copies), so all you need to do is ask, and speak to a nurse. Usually specialist nurses are available for discussion. A lot of patients promptly forget everything they've been told as its so overwhelming - a tape recorder next time may help - and ask for a copy of the letters. The GP will also be fully informed / up-to-date, so you can ask them for an explanation as well. Hope all is ok x

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 13:29

hey norty, how are you? i hope things are a bit better for you

I need to walk away from MN today...I've gotten into an argument with someone who didn't like my response to their OP.

ooops, DD is awake...a timely anti MN alarm.

Back later

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2008 14:00

Ohhh like a good argument ...giv'us a a link

Feeling a bit better I think...managed to zoom round Sainsburys to get some nappies (third off atm everyone) and milk without having a panic attack ...scan tomorrow so expect I'll be a nervous wreck again by the morning. Woke up in the middle of the night and took ages to go back to sleep cos of the anxiety feelings....its just horrible ....but its not ALL the time atm like it was the other day...

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 16:16

oh, I know that early morning panic norty. I try and "put" each worry into a box and move onto the next one. It usually works if i'm not tooo stressed out.

the argument has been calmed. The Poor OP was beside herself thinking everyone hates her now and was sorry she posted what she did but was angry to the point she couldn't see straight, let alone post coherently.

Must remember to come over all "everybody hates me now" next time I'm getting flamed for something....ah well, I've made my peace and will move swiftly on.

DD has taken more steps today....three again this morning, and then about five just now. she looked sooooo pleased with herself

justRia · 06/07/2008 16:32

Hi Norty. I usually get my panics first thing before I even get out of bed.

Been to tesco for a trolley load of veg (DH was feeling up to driving as it's not that far, and he did get a lie in until after lunch with 2 meals in bed. I am giving him loads of veg and pulses etc and he is eating them no argument! He is slinged-up again now after his physio and is watching Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium with the boys)

I am making a roast chicken dinner with loads of veg. Can't decide though - stuffing with the chicken or an extra glass of wine with Midsomer Murders later?

evening all
how is everyone?

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 17:12

Hi Ria and Natty.

How are you feeling today Natty? How is DH? Are things seeming any clearer today now you've been able to sleep on it? Is DH at home with you or in the hospital?

ria....personally I'd go for the stuffing!

We are having honey, lemon and thyme chicken portions with vegetable pilaf and some spiced potatoes....MMMMmmmmmm can't wait.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 06/07/2008 17:19

he is at work today daisy, he has booked of a week next week but until then its business as usual. we have got to wait for an appointment to go into hospital unfortuatly you know the nhs, they wont admit u till ur at deaths door
unfortunatly i wasnt in the consultants room as michael wanted to go alone, i can only tell you what he told me, and i think he is playing it down to stop me worrying

lackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2008 17:27

oh, sweets, you need to tell him how worried you are and that you need to know everything he was told. You'll find out at some point I'm sure, but you can't have all this worry hanging over you.

have some {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}
