I ladies thought I would start this..

I cant believe they are starting to and are going to be turning one.. This year has flown over.. I miss being pregnant. But i love watching lee playng with his older brother and sister, it always makes me smile.
I love the fact that he is now playing properly , will go to his toy box pull himself up and see what he wants to play with.. normally after throwing everything round the front room first..No such thing as a tidy room in this house.. How do people do it.

Hope everyone is ok.. speak soon

oooh Jennster - forgot that you are also nearly there! Enjoy your last day at wotk and hope you don;t have to stay too late.

meep · 12/04/2009 14:16

congratulations JJF - let us know how the tests go.

Jennster - I was thesame - working silly hours to finish up - but then you can just relax........until the baby comes!!!

Also struggling with 2 lo's here. My c-section scaris infected and not knitting togetherso I am not meant to do any lifting . DH has mumps (!) and altho Rosie should have immunity from me he is keeping away from her just in case.

minimeep is being as good as she can be - but with both me and dh confimed to the house she does get a wee bit bored - poor wee mite.

It will get easier (it has to) !

Jennster · 14/04/2009 21:00

Meep Do you have a garden? Hopefully the nice weather has meant you can at least go outside, and if you don't have a garden then I hope it hasn't been too bad.

Yay finally finished work and had a very busy weekend. Can relax now....make curtains, pack bags (one for me, one for dd, one for ds) sort out baby clothes, wash bedding and nappies....

twoplusone · 30/04/2009 10:58

HI ALL.. Sorry been away for such a long time hope you are all well.. Congratulations meep on thebirth of Rosie..

I am soo broody, but DH is booked for the snip on the 8th June... He let me have one attempt!! so kind of him.. he went bare back 2weeks ago bt I think it was a week to early for ovulation.. he went away again last weekend for 3weeks back the 18th may.. so I may convince him for one more attempt before he has the snip.

We have booked our summer hols going to go to Calella, I have since heard some bad reports.. but aslong as the hotel pool is safe and good for the boys then I will be happy . Not taking DD as she will be going on hols with her dad.. So it is myself dh and PILs ..

I will try and have a catch up on wwhat is going on.. Have we had anyother babies and who is pg and when are you all due!!

Take care all xx

Hi 2+1, let's hope your attempts to conceive were well-timed- it's a shame your DH is booked for a snip when you would like to try for another LO.

I just thought i'd say i'm booked in for my c-section on 12 May (a week on Tuesday) so won't be long til my DS2 is here! We already have a name- Samuel James (I know I'm copying you STW!)

twoplusone · 03/05/2009 18:17

pulapula thats great, so excited for you..
DH phined me tonight and told him about the timing he said oh oh.. lol.

A quick question, my nipple was sore the other night I rubbed it and I dont know why but squeezed the end and some milk came out!!!! considering nearly two years since I expressed do you think this is a blocked duct unblocking!!!!

Jennster · 03/05/2009 20:10

Nah 2+1. It just happens. Some people can do it years and years later. Nothing to worry about.

Love the name Samuel by the way.

twoplusone · 06/05/2009 16:34

AF came this morning..so It looks like we are sticking with 3..
Hope you are all well

pulapula · 06/05/2009 16:58

2+1 - just saw your post. Sorry AF arrived. I think we will stick at 3 DCs too. It's sad to make a final decision about these things, but it seems like a good number.

Jennster · 06/05/2009 17:34

Sorry to hear you got AF. We are sticking with 3 too. [selfish moan emoticon] I want a nice holiday sometime in the next decade!

pulapula · 18/05/2009 10:47

Just in case anyone is still checking in, baby Samuel James Foster (Sam) arrived by elective section on 12 May 2009 at 16:16 weighing 8lb 3. Ben has been really good with him which i wasnt expecting as thought he might feel a bit pushed out. Luckily i was only in hospital 2 nights as i was desperate to get home to my DD and DS.

twoplusone · 19/05/2009 15:53

Congratulations pulapula..xx

Hubby is giving me a few more chances before he goes for the snip.. lets see what happens..x

2+1 - i really hope things go well for you over the next few months. so amazing for you, as i know its what you wanted- i assume DH is ok about it!

twoplusone · 13/06/2009 10:16

DH is extatic!! he said his heart had always said yes to another one but his head no..with the practical side.. he worries how I will be with 4 when he deploys again.. I told him Iwill cope because I have to .., also friends will help..

Once i get to 12weeks we are going to lookinto if the army will move us to a 4 bedroomed in the area.. I have said to hubby if they will not move us I am not moving ourselves so we will see what happens.. I could really do wth the last house we had just after I had lee..xx

OP posts:
pulapula · 14/06/2009 19:09

2+1- I am sure you will cope just fine with 4 as you coped so well with 2 and then 3. Your DS1 must be getting quite old now (is he at school?) and your DD will be a help hopefully.

Although i haven't managed my 3 on my own yet, i find it tough because they are all at home ATM although DD will be in school from sept.

JumpingJellyfish · 15/06/2009 11:03

Oh 2+1 that is wonderful news! Definitely meant to happen! Will keep everything crossed for you in next 12 weeks.

Jennster many congrats on DD2! How are you finding the 3?

Pulapula many congrats to you too on your DS2! Good name choice as well

Doris in case you are checking at all- many congrats on the birth of DD3! It's all happening eh!

Well I can finally report we made it through the CVS testing and I'm now 15wks pregnant with DC3, who isn't even a carrier of the CF gene! Been a bit of a rollercoaster but incredibly happy, if a little nervous, now!

How are all out nearly 2 year olds? Mairi will turn 2 a week on Friday, can't believe the time has flown in so fast. She is a right little madam, definitely exerting her independence, but incredibly funny and cute too! Her speech is really clear with sentences now, definitely quicker with this than DS was, and in a way makes "reasoning" to avoud tantrums a little easier, but we still have quite a few meltdowns whenever I don't give into her 7am requests for chocolate etc!! Thankfully DS is very patient with her, and tolerant, so they are still playing well together in spite of Mairi constantly wanting whatever he plays with. They are a right little team DS will also be starting school at the end of August, which has come round too fast! Mairi has been keeping well with her CF thankfully, a fairly rough winter with a zillion nasty colds/coughs, but we avoided hospital admissions so have been very lucky. Hoping to finish nebulisers in the next week and get a reprieve from the cough for a couple of months before next winter's bugs start...

Right, I'm still in the final throes of thesis writing (last chapter, yey) so back to it for me.

Would love to hear how your little ones are all doing xxx

pulapula · 15/06/2009 14:23

JJF- Glad to hear the CVS was good news, and that LO isn't even a carrier.

Ben is also 2 a week on Friday! His language has come on in the last month or so. My DD starts school in September- I can't wait! Although guess it might make things harder as i will have to fit the school run into my routine with DS2.

meep · 15/06/2009 14:30

I have found you all again.

Congratulations pula and welcome to baby Samuel

Congratulations jennster on dd2 - baby girls are the best

Well done 2+1 - good timing!

jumping that is great news - I am so happy for you.

Lots of chatteriing from minimeep too - we can almost have a conversation together! Also very detremined and loves the words "no" and "mine"

Has recently taken a dislike to teh pinky ponk (it was funny I read a thread about toddlers being scared of teh pinky ponk and thought " how odd" - a couple of weeks klater minimeep became terrified! ) and other random things.

Can't believe they are about to be 2!

pulapula · 15/06/2009 14:52

Meep my DD went through a phase of being scared of the pinky ponk too lol- when ITNG started, if it was a pinky ponk one, not a ninky nonk one, she wouldn't watch it. She also got very upset when iggle piggles blanket got muddy- we couldn't get her to watch ITNG again for ages after that! DS1 is now getting anxious about "mess" on TV programmes (can you tell we watch a lot of telly here lol)

Hows miniminimeep getting on now- how many weeks old is she now?

meep · 15/06/2009 16:30

I'd forgotten about Iggle Piggle's muddy blanket - oh the trauma!!!!

miniminimeep is now 12 weeks old and doing really well - very chilled - probably because I just plonk her down to chase after her whirlwind sister! So she just watches the world go by. She's now full of giggles and grins.

I have to say that I feel great and am finding having 2 easier than having just one and easier than being pregnant with a toddler. The HV did my depression score and it was 3/10. With minimeep it was 9/10 - so shows how stressed/neurotic/depressed I was last time round.

I'm making sure I make the most of enjoying my babymoon time!

How are you finding life with 3?
