I ladies thought I would start this..

I cant believe they are starting to and are going to be turning one.. This year has flown over.. I miss being pregnant. But i love watching lee playng with his older brother and sister, it always makes me smile.
I love the fact that he is now playing properly , will go to his toy box pull himself up and see what he wants to play with.. normally after throwing everything round the front room first..No such thing as a tidy room in this house.. How do people do it.

Hope everyone is ok.. speak soon

So sorry to hear about your mc Justabout. Said a little prayer for you.

What on earth am I doing? Moving 5 days before Christmas? Working full time with no holiday booked in sight?

Justabout I think you should, if only to counter the cursing I'm doing. We finally got the keys at 6.00pm tonight, having completed just as the estate agents finished early for their Christmas do. Removal men arrive at 7.00am tomorrow. Yawn.

twoplusone · 19/12/2008 23:08

Good luck for tommorrow Jenn, you are very brave.. moving this close to xmas..

Hi all,

Good luck in your new home jennster

Revjust- sorry to read your sad news, take care of yourself and

meep · 22/12/2008 16:07

Merry Christmas Doris - hope you stay free from any more nasty bugs - lovely to hearthat Lydie is not on any extra meds - that is fantastic!

Minimeep has developed a hat wearing obsession - especially Santa house - you should see us all in the meep household - all sitting around with some variety of santa hat/reindeer horns/angel halo on - she just loves it and wants us all to join in!

catstarofbethlehem · 23/12/2008 14:19

Not checked in for ages, so sorry to read sad news Justabout . Hope you have recovered ok?

Hope the move went well Jennster - what a chaotic time for you! We've just had our kitchen done and that was traumatic enough for me in my fragile emotional state.

Work is mad as usual at this time of year so better dash, but as I probably won't get another opportunity to say it: MERRY CHRISTMAS !

JumpingJellyfish · 23/12/2008 14:48

Just popping on to say Happy Christmas all! Hope you all have a wonderful break with your families.

Doris- really glad Lydie's doing well...touch wood so is Mairi though on rather a lot of ventolin (she loves it!!!)

Jennster- hope you are settling in well in your new home- really don't envy you moving at this time of year!! (especially being pregnant as well)

Loving the mental picture of minimeep Mairi is obsessed with scarves at the moment (bit worried she might strangle herself so constantly lurking while she wraps any clothes she can find round herself!!)

Enjoy yourselves everyone xx

JennstarOfWonder · 25/12/2008 15:13

hello folks. On 'tinternet at parent's house. Move went really well thanks. We love the house and the children have all settled in well. Am bf ds only evenings now....the end is in sight. Got to do a 2 hour rota tomorrow lunchtime which is a pain, but at least it gets us out of entertaining.

Speak soon. Not getting broadband until next week.

JennstarOfWonder · 03/01/2009 22:12

Have finished bf ds now. 2 nights of no feeds. Sad but a 4 month respite 'til number 3 comes along.

catstar · 22/01/2009 19:39

Not sure if anyone still checks in here, but just wanted to wish you all a belated Happy New Year!!! I'm sure I won't be doing much chatting over the next few months (got 3 weeks left til DS is due) so take care everyone! Hope you are all well and all pgs are prgressing smoothly .

MelissaM · 06/02/2009 13:07

A very belated Happy New Year to everyone!

Haven't been on for months as v busy since going back to work in the summer and juggling everything else. DD seems v demanding (although lovely with it). If I try to get on pc to check emails or mumsnet she wants to 'help' too so I don't get on v often.

Justabout = sorry to hear your sad news - hope you are feeling ok now.
Jennster - hope you are all settled in the new house. And come to terms with stopping bf. I finally stopped couple of weeks b4 christmas. dropping morning feed was v traumatic, but night feed went smoothly.

Hope everyone and their lo's are well and enjoying the snow!

Jennster · 17/02/2009 22:15

You know I've had this in my watched list and it didn't show up as having any new messages.

Isn't it funny how the night feed is the one that is meant to be the most difficult to drop, yet wasn't for either of my experiences.

Hope everybody is well. Doesn't look like many people are watching this thread any more.

pulapula · 18/02/2009 22:27

Hi Jennster- i have this in my watched list too but its very quiet here isn't it!

Not sure about night feeds stuff, as I think i stopped with Ben (and Katie) at around 4 months (apart from the odd comfort feed when ill when nothing else would do) but carried on in the day until about 8 months with K and 11 months with B but neither were that bothered about stopping (which was my decision!). They both still have to have their beaker of milk when they wake up, and before bed though!

Jennster · 18/02/2009 22:40

Not like the due May thread. They only last a week or so now.

catstar · 19/02/2009 13:36

Hi there ladies! Hope everyone's okay? Well, I'm now a day overdue and very impatient to meet my new son. DD is at nursery today so I'm doing some catch up on Mumsnet and generally trying to relax.

Trying to manage a DD with attitude and a newborn could be fun - I know lots fo you have survived it so any tips gratefully received! Looking forward to it all though.

Will try to check in from time to time. Take care everyone!

meep · 19/02/2009 13:48

hello hello - I've found you all again!

Wow - catstar - can't believe you're a day overdue - good luck and post lots of snuggly newborn pics of your ds! And I'll be looking to you for tips on how to cope with a DD with attitude and a newborn!

Minimeep has become quite the little drama queen - just in time for her new brother/sister to arrive! She's clingy and wants evything done the way she likes it! It is so cute most of the time but can be a wee bit much in public

The other day I was driving dh and one of his friends into town. Friend in front passenger seat and dh sitting right beside minimeep in the back. She cried until the friend got out and dh sat in the front seat beside me!

And I won't veven begin to tell you what happened when I cuddled a newborn! Oh teh tears! "noooooooooo mummmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeee noooooooooooooo"! Doesn't bode well!

Jennster how is the new house?

Well - I'm signed up for a bf workshop and am thinking about speaking to a La Leche counsellor BEFORE no2 arrives so that I don't turn into a teary mess and can if it my best shot this time round.

1 week left at work - then 3 weeks till c-section date - can't believe it's actually happening!

pulapula · 19/02/2009 13:57

Hi Meep and Catstar,

Can't believe your LOs are due imminently!

My DD was older (2.6) when DS arrived, which helped in some ways as she understood more, but her behaviour did go downhill for a while.

DS does the bursting into tears when he doesn't get what he wants, but i try not to pander to him. He seems quite interested in babies so hope he will be ok with his new baby brother. He also still doesn't say "mummy"- me and DH are both "daddy" lol.

I'm 26+3 weeks now, so another 13 weeks still til my cs.

Jennster · 19/02/2009 20:29

Hello again meep and catstar. Lovely to hear from you again. The house is fab thanks for asking. We love it. Settled and like we've always been here.

Am 28+5. Had my Anti-D and GTT today. Everything going fine.

meep · 21/02/2009 06:45

when dh was working late and at weekends a lot minimeep called everyone who left the house or spoke to her on the phone daddy - dh found it really sad!

But due to me being huge with a sore back he has been doing most of the nursery pick up and drop offs so minimeep definitely knows who is daddy and who is mummy now!

Yikes - not looking forward to behaviour going downhill pula. Minimeep is remarkably good (nothing to do with me I have to say) and we've hardly had to babyproof anything! My mw was saying that the biggest danger to your newborn is their siblings and you have to keep your eye on them!

Glad you're all settled Jennster!

Off to work today to try to clear my desk - then only 2.5 days in the office next week - then mat leave - I can't wait!

catstar · 24/02/2009 20:30

Hello Ladies - just stopping in briefly to announce the arrival of Samuel James on 22 February 2009 at 6.45am. He weighed in at 9lbs 1oz - we are just home and sorting ourselves out and hope to catch up soon!!! He's gorgeous!!!

Jennster · 25/02/2009 22:13

Congratulations Catstar. That's a lovely name too. Hope you are all well.
