SPB, if you really want to be there then just reschedule. When I have done that, the appointment comes back quickly and is only for a few weeks on anyway. I may well postpone F's which are due tomorrow. She has only just got over the cold so I think I will ask the HV if I can take her next week instead.

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 10:54

Scan is at 12.15. Can't come quick enough! I am so thirsty! Just an ultrasound, so hopefully won't take too long and I can get out and have a drink

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 10:54

Of the non-alcoholic variety.

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:57

Yes mammyjo - the drinking of alcohol in hospital corridors tends to be frowned on

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 10:58

Have just read that back SPB, and it sounds like I am ordering you to reschedule! Didnt mean it like that at all, sorry I was just trying to say that it isn't a problem to do that, if it's what works iykwim.
Am going to stop typing before I did a bigger hole! Have already made a comment about the word "receptacle" and now this, bloody hell!

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 10:58

lol NL!

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 11:01

Only if you are now probably around 70 years old, 4ft 10in tall, and with the hairiest legs I have ever seen in my life! Oh, and with a very high pitched, screechy voice, and a broad welsh accent

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 11:03

She sounds lovely!

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 11:04

Right, off now as my mum is here to look after F when I go off for my scan.
See you later ladies xxx

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 11:04

Lovely is not a word I would have used to describe her!!

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 11:04

don't be silly mj, I didn't take offense!
And even if I had, the lack of fluids is probably causing you to struggle to type what you really mean
Think I will reschedule, I want to be there

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 11:13

B is playing with her wheelybug! SO CUTE!!

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 11:14

Happy Birthday to Beatrice and Caiomhe! Hope you are having good days - although the NL household sounds a bit yuk - this sickness seems to be lingering, doesn't it!!? Praying it is over quickly.

A bit , but more worried. The girl who normally looks after DD2 on a Mon am text me to say she couldn't get to me for 9, but could get there for half past; so I said that was fine. She hasn't turned up!!!!!? Her phone just goes straight through to answer phone and I am quite worried. It is a pain the butt too as I've got work to do; but can't get anything done with DD2 aound. Sigh. She's very hard to entertain. Sigh.

Anyway .....

Hope scan goes ok MJ

Good to "see" you back Pillock - looking forward to seeing you next week

Glad DS' op went ok Ange What a brave little boy

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 11:15

Awwwww, wheelybugs are soooo cool!!

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 11:16

worried about her Dippy, or worried that she's letting you down?
Can nursery help?

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 11:27

Worried about her!

Sexonlegs · 21/04/2008 11:41

Hi loves

Happy Birthday to the lovely Caiomhe and Beatrice Hope you are both having a fab day!!

NL, I LOVE the word receptacle! It sounds so grand. And you are not old. I am 38 this July . Hope dd2 is better and there is no move vomit - eugghhh!

MJ, glad you are feeling a bit better. Hope the scan goes well. xx

Hi SPB, T's bowels ok today??
I have had to re-arrange K's men c jab, as they have arranged it for a Tuesday when I work. They said they will send me another appointment, and then if it is again on a Tuesday, to call the surgery direct. Bloody stupid if you ask me. I don't know why the surgey doesn't just arrange it with you direct rather than going through a third party.

Bramshott, good to see you. Yuk at dd1 painting the walls with poo - what a birthday treat for you indeed

Dippy, that is worrying. Don't really know what to suggest tbh.

All ok here. At work, and v bored. Also v tired. Keep waking myself up coughing, so I moved out of our room and down to the lounge and slept on the sofa. K woke up again shortly after I had gone downstairs crying with teething pain, and apparently B woke up as her duvet had fallen off (I didn't hear her being downstairs!!)

Getting fed up of K's nappies. She isn't ill as she is eating really well, but they are gross. It has been going on for weeks now. I assume it is teething? B was never affected at all.

Better head!

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 11:42

does she drive or walk or bus?

Dd2 seems fine now so that's good. b has slightly gunky eyes but she's had this before and not needed drops. I everything just gets a bit bunged up and she has had a snotty nose so that all fits.

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 12:26

she walks

hello, one hand typing as holding dd2 in arm....

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 12:30

hello - no sign of her then?

Dd2 - STOP wriggling

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 12:39

Nope, no sign. I've called her mum and left a message on her voicemail. I just hope she is ok. Phone still switch off!!?

Need to get P up and eaten ..... I meant feed her and go and get DD1 from Pre-School. Will pop by later. Can you post about this on prayer thread please, NL!!?

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 12:42

Will do!

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2008 12:53

Thank you NL

Nipping up here while DD2 is "looking after" DD3

Had text back from friends mum saying she had a party at the weekend and perhaps she had underestimated her ability to recover! She is going to nip home during her lunchbreak to check and then she is going to text me back .....

AngeG · 21/04/2008 12:53
