SPB, dont be afraid to ask for an urgent test to be done either. I think when he has been unwell for so long, it needs to be sorted asap. Hope you are all doing ok this morning xxx

NorthernLurker · 25/04/2008 09:52

Here's a {{{{{hug}}}}} for SPB as well

and one for T as well {{{hug}}} - now pee in the pot boy!

StealthPolarBear · 25/04/2008 09:56

Morning, we did get a sample, DH tsaking him to the docs soon, but thatnks everyone because I think that's what we're thinking - urgent referral, and ABs today!
I'll see what DH says after his appt (it's at 11) but might push for more. If it can be done then it's better surely - the quicker they treat it the less nasty it's going to be?

StealthPolarBear · 25/04/2008 09:57

Thanks NL
Sorry for self obsessed posts recently, when T is on ABs I will catch up!
So...someone tell me about the nappies I'm going to face!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/04/2008 10:21

I don't remember the nappies, M's were always awful because of the dairy anyway, but he did get addicted to the ABs and would scream and scream when I wouldn't let him have them after we finished the course!

NorthernLurker · 25/04/2008 10:25

Having a sick baby is a very all-consuming thing. Don't apologise for being focused on you sick child!

Abs and poo - not a great combination - runny and explosive tends to be my experience. You need to watch out for the nappy rash as well - the abs can cause thrush I think - just like with adults really.

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 11:00

Don't apologise SPB, glad you got the samply ok

Morning!

cazboldy · 25/04/2008 11:01

Morning all

Well Done SPB - let's hope you can get it sorted now

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 11:06

Morning Caz

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 11:07

Happy Birthday Isabellamio's James!!

runnyhabbit · 25/04/2008 11:28

SPB - all I can say re AB and poo, is STOCK UP ON NAPPIES Seriously, W went through loads when he was taking his AB, and def stock up on nappy rash cream, because no matter how quickly I changed his bum, it was still sore

(obv, if you use reusables, stock up on washing powder)

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 11:31

This is gross!

runnyhabbit · 25/04/2008 11:42

can anyone give some advice here

dh is being a complete "man" and leaving his packing up to me!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/04/2008 11:52

runny - tell him to do it himself or let him go starkers

can we please talk about something other than nappies this afternoon, I'm at work and need entertaining

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/04/2008 11:53

this means you have 1 hour to get interesting ladies, then I shall be back from my lunch and we need to start thinking up new thread titles.....

runnyhabbit · 25/04/2008 12:06

but the thing is potc, I have threatened him with sorting out his own clothes, but here is what will happen -

we arrive in hotel, in the morning

me and ds change into shorts/bikini/swimwear

dh will be in jeans and a t-shirt, and complaining to me that he's got nothing to wear for the whole time we're there

To save on his whinging, it is far easier if I sort his clothes out (and tbh, I buy most of his clothes anyway, because he hates clothes shopping!)

NorthernLurker · 25/04/2008 12:08

i'm quite actually - dh is SO fussy that clothes shopping for him is a nightmare. I mostly make him do it tbh - it would be lovely if I could just go and buy stuff safe in the knowledge that he would just wear it and shut up!

Pesha · 25/04/2008 12:48

Have just started a thread in pedant's corner and I was right about something!!!!

[not as thick as people think I am emoticon]

runnyhabbit · 25/04/2008 13:20

I am so with myself and post office

with myself, because, as usual, I have left things to the last minute. I applied for J passport 2 weeks ago, using check and send through the post office. No probs I thought, 4 weeks til hols, plenty of time (and have used it for the rest of us fine, although at a different post office)

We've had a letter from passport office today, telling me that I had sent dh birth certificate, instead of J. Am v with post office because they obv didn't bloody check before they sent

Passport office lovely though. Told them about travel dates, and they said to put a letter in with J birth certificate, giving my telephone number, so they can call me and let me know how long the passport will take. Depending on their work load, I might have to upgrade to the next day service, which is an extra £48!!!

My own fault though.....if I'd been more organised this wouldn't have bloody well happened.

NorthernLurker · 25/04/2008 13:22

Runny - that's why you paid them to check it - it's a disgrace they didn't do so - if anyone is paying an extra £50 quid it will be the idiots at your local post office - go and shout at them! I assume you're sending your letter guaranteed whatsit?

runnyhabbit · 25/04/2008 13:23

and dh boss, still haven't given him his March payslip (the one where he wasn't paid for a week)

dh is thinking that they might have paid him sick pay, but not paid him for when W was in hospital (was all in March) He's checked his bank statement, but we're not sure what he has/hasn't been paid for, because he also had a payrise that month

raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Bramshott · 25/04/2008 13:24

Oh arse Runny - that's a pain. Mind you, it reminds me that I must get a photo done for O and send off for her passport in good time. We're not off till August, but knowing me I will find the forms under the big hearp of stuff at the end of the kitchen table some time in July!

Any news from SPB yet? Maybe (hopefully!) they have gone to the hospital to demand ABs for T?

Nothing exciting to report (sorry POTC!) - went to music with my friend this morning but her DD was very off-colour as she had her MMR last week and had been not herself the past 2 days (I think they say it takes 10 days to come out don't they?).
