Thank you all for your birthday wishes for Sienna and a BIG happy birthday to Katie, Samuel too - where has this year gone ? We have a had a lovely day, although I am quite emotional about it - the whole having a baby and bringing our (DP's and my kids) as 2 families together has meant a lot to us. It has been a wonderful, wonderful year and we are so happy for the joy our daughter has brought us. OK I should stop now before I start crying again!

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 18:45

Happy Birthday Katie, Samuel and Sienna

Busy weekend here - trying to get stuff sorted in the hopes of moving. I'm still very nervous as we are now waiting to exchange....

My sil has been staying this weekend - which was lovely and yesterday was dd1's birthday. She is 10! Which makes me very, very old

Tomorrow is B's big day and I've just posted a bit of a birth story on the 1 year thread - behind hand or what!

I just want to say here how much I've enjoyed posting here since I delurked in September. You are all exceptional women and it's a joy and privilege to share your journey.

Oh and to further boost my ego claims to be a domestic goddess - you should see the cake I made for dd1 - Nigella's sour cream chocolate cake - yummy!!!

Eddas · 20/04/2008 19:25

hi everyone

nl, i think you should change your name to northerdelurker has a ring to it, dontcha think

nice to see you nutty, hope you're ok with you

I just want to add Vio's James to the list of births, he was born on 28th April

Eddas · 20/04/2008 19:32

wo, that's a lovely cake, did you make it?

ds was sick on my dad's carpet today was the dining room not the front room though. THe afternoon was nice and my dc were the centre of attention, as usual and ds was particularly cute and pretty much smiled the entire time we were there(about 5 hours) they were all suprised by ds' walking he's so steady now, and it's actually weird to see him crawling

Eddas · 20/04/2008 19:36

been reading the catch up thread and thought i'd link to it againso heere it is

Eddas · 20/04/2008 19:38

meant to say, nl, was lovely reading your birth story

i will stop posting/talking to myself now

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 20:52

Glad you enjoyed it Eddas - I'm much more comfortable tonight than I was at this time last year
Totally forgot to say earlier - B has taken her first steps as well!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:00

evening all
been lying low in case of lurkers but can't be arsed now so I'm back

did you see it?

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:01

I saw it online - fab picture!

runnyhabbit · 20/04/2008 21:05

Evening all

Party went really well. All the children were really loud and funny, but exceptionally well behaved [proud mummy emoticon] Did feel quite emotional blowing out the candles, esp after what we've been through the past month. My mum took most of the photos as I was busy gossiping mingling with all the parents so when I've got some, I'll put them on my profile.

Dh has arrived safe and sound in North Wales, and told me he couldn't decide whether or not to have steak for his dinner

I'm now off to enjoy my boring jacket potato

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:07

runny - I'm just scavenging in the cupboards for some pasta! Great you had a lovelytime - you and W deserved it!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:09

I'm not so sure on the fabness of it - you can see my wellies and my hair looks ginger! (but thanks anyway )

how are we all? I saw Pesha had popped by to post the link then buggered off again, gonna call her I think as she's been worryingly quiet of late

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:12

You mean you're not a strawberry blonde?

Yes - where is Pesha and IDOC and Caz - any sightings recently?

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:12

And Ange - where is Ange?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:13

Pesha is on the phone to me. she's too busy being a lazy bint to talk to us commoners

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:15

That put me in my place then Tell her to hit the keyboard and start typing!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:15

Ange texts me sometimes, and I spoke to her on Wednesday night

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:16

(she didn't really say that by the way )
