Hello all. My baby is 1!!!!

Happy Birthday Caiomhe (WO - can I be very stupid and ask how you pronounce C's name. I know my dh (Edinburgh born and bred will know but I keep forgetting to ask him!)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We've opened her presents and she seems very happy - likes her wheelybug Dd2 was sick agaain - but at midnight so not too bad. All over her sleeping bag though - ugh! I have a lot of washing to do today. She seems ok now but I thought I should keep her at home. She and B are watching Cbeebies now.

Dippy - P's present was a big hit - she looks adorable in it!

SPB - I'm back to work next week.

Morning all.

Happy Birthday to Beatrice and Caiomhe!

Got my scan later and can't have anything to eat or drink for 6 hours before so I am not impressed! Not so bothered about the food, but am thirsty and want a cup of tea!!
I finally feel a bit better this morning. D+v seems to have settled. Got a pain bout last night which was swiftly dealt with by my drugs! Seems ok today too >

NL, hope your dd2 is ok today. Bleughh to the puke all over the bed. Made me laugh when you said you had given her a receptacle! Haven't used (or heard) that word in years My teacher in school used to use it when talking about the bins! That takes me back!

Nutty, nice to see you and glad things are going well for you

POTC, your hair was fine! Nice wellies indeed, highly fashionable!

Leaky, I know you probably won't see this, but lots of luck to you with the move and the job and the Barcelona trip Will be thinking of you xxx

Bramshott · 21/04/2008 09:58

Happy Birthday Beatrice and Caiomhe!! I'd never realised that NL's B was Beatrice - for some reason I thought she was Becky like SOL's DD1.

Dippy - Plimsolls coming your way!

Mammyjo - sorry you are feeling crap. Good luck with the scan today.

Ange - glad J's ear op went okay.

Eddas - thanks for adding James to the stats list. I'm sure we'll all be thinking of Vio on the 28th.

I haven't heard from IDOC in a while either, but maybe she's been away for the holidays. Let's see if she pops in tomorrow (Tues is her day off work) - if not, I will text her.

N went back to school this morning and I felt momentarily bereft . That's before I made a coffee and came on here while letting O trash the CD collection though!

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:01

B loves our CD collection as well

Hope your scan goes well Mammyjo - is it an ultrasound or CT?

Doobydoo · 21/04/2008 10:06

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Beatrice and Caiomhe..
Have to go M is hellbent on destroying everyhing this am.
Have good day all[snile[

cazboldy · 21/04/2008 10:13

Happy Birthday Beatrice and Caiomhe

and also Best Belated Wishes to any that I have missed over the last few days.

Andrew had a few days off, and we were all busy, plus dd1 has some sort of viral thing....

Got the date through for ds1's appeal - 6th of May. Fingers crossed, and at least it's not that long to wait......

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:16

Oooooh good luck with the appeal!

Does nobody else say 'receptacle' then? I say it quite a lot

Bramshott · 21/04/2008 10:17

I can hear her - she is now in the kitchen cupboard I'd probably better go!!

Bramshott · 21/04/2008 10:17

I say "receptacle" NL - but like you, I am old !

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:19

Excellent - Bramshott can join the club of elderly receptacle wielding mamas.

B has come to see me with a Birthday smelly nappy - how nice

Bramshott · 21/04/2008 10:25

How lovely! I'll never forget my birthday when DD1 was 18 months - I got up to her having delved into her nappy and smeared it on her bedroom walls . .

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:33

Dd1 gave up breastfeeding on my birthday - she self weaned at 11 mths - I wasn't ready to stop but she just didn't want to latch on. B is stil very keen though

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 10:39

aaargh T being wingey this morning
His MenC jab appt has come through - I'm on a course Do I rearrrange so I can go or just ask mum to take him? She will cry!
(So will I, but more discreetly)

NorthernLurker · 21/04/2008 10:40

I would ask your mum to take him. Better to get it over with tbh.

Bramshott · 21/04/2008 10:40

It's fine to rearrange them SPB - I have rearranged all of O's because they always schedule them on a Tues and I work on Tues.

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 10:50

Think I want to be there
But also want to get it over with
hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm

mammyjo · 21/04/2008 10:50

Bramshott, you and NL are certainly not old! I will turn 35 this year.

NL, I am sure many other people use the word receptacle, it just took me back to my school days when there was one particular teacher. She had a very high pitched, screechy, voice and would yell "put your rubbish in the receptacle provided"!!! On reading your post I was immediately transported back to those memories

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 10:51

mj glad the D&V is better, what time is your scan? Bet you are looking forward to a cup of tea!
