POTC, lovely article and I thought the pic of all 3 of you was very nice, whatever the colour of your hair.

here is my latest recipe

Its called Peperonata, and is a proper bona fide italian recipe (and for those on Weight Watchers it is 0 points)

olive oil (or spray oil for those on WW)
12 oz of roughly chopped onions
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1lb of peppers (I prefer yellow and red, because they're sweeter, but its up to you)
1 tin of chopped toms, or 1lb of fresh toms, quartered (I prefer tinned because its makes it into more of a sauce, iyswim)

heat oil in pan
add onions and garlic, and brown on high heat for few mins
add peppers and heat for about 10mins, until soft
add toms and leave to simmer uncovered for about 40mins (tbh, I can't wait that long, and usually only manage 20mins)

Can be eaten on its own, or with jacket potato, or even pasta.

I'm having it with jp tonight

night all
x

Hi nutty, glad to hear that you've braved venturing out to groups and evening classes. Oops at the fake coal story.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:27

Ange is on the phone now, she's been getting a life (if you can call 80 yr olds birthday parties a life )

Sexonlegs · 20/04/2008 21:30

I had a text from Ange today. She has been manic by the sounds of things with J's ears and 80th birthday parties.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:34

She just said you're not interesting enough to get her back here

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:34

Popping on quickly to say goodbye for a week or so.

When I return I will have a new house and a new job and I will have been on the potentially problematic trip to Barcelona Fingers crossed it all goes well.

Happy birthday Katie, Sienna and Samuel and a Happy Birthday to those April babies with celebrations to come in the next week.

I hope you and yours all stay well and happy while I'm away.
I'll miss having a place to let off steam when the move (and the ILs) get too much

StealthPolarBear · 20/04/2008 21:35

hi everyone

AngeG · 20/04/2008 21:35

POTC

Hello

StealthPolarBear · 20/04/2008 21:35

fingers crossed leaky, good luck with it all

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/04/2008 21:49

where've all buggered off now

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 21:49

aaaaaaaaaaaargh - dd2 has just been sick! She said she felt a little bit 'burpy' before she went to bed so I gave a receptacle. Did she use it - did she bs! Sick down the wall side of her bed. An unfortunate koala copped most ofit and I had to scape up the rest by the light of dd1's torch-with-a-dying battery! Ugh

AngeG · 20/04/2008 21:53

Sorry I haven't been on, things have just been hectic since Jake's ear op on Wednesday. We've been up to Northampton for my Grandpa's 80th birthday for the weekend!

Good luck with the move Leaky.

Happy birthday to all those I've missed, which is loads

NL - Your post on the birthday thread made me cry. It was lovely.

Hi Nutty - Good to see you're enjoying life!

WO - Gorgeous photos of C. She is so photogenic. The cake is lovely!

I have been lurking, but haven't really got anything interesting to say!

Jake's ear op went well, I took him into theatre this time (he was a real Mummy's boy that day). It was very emotional, especially when I had to kiss him goodbye. He came round really well and we were on our way home in about an hour!

Izzy is so gorgeous atm, grinning and smiling all the time. She's 'talking' so much now, would love to know what she's trying to say sometimes instead of just grasping the odd word!

AngeG · 20/04/2008 21:55

Oh no NL Hope she's ok.

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 22:02

She seems fine now - I'm very pissed off. I do NOT want to spend my last baby's first birthday scraping up the vomit of the second-born! Or of anybody else come to that!

Glad Jake's op went well Re the birthday post - ok, ok I admit it - I blubbed hugely whilst writing it

Sexonlegs · 20/04/2008 22:02

Oh NL, nightmare. Hope she is ok.

Leaky, really hope everything goes well with the move. Take care.

Hi Ange. Good to see you back on MN. Will drop you an email soon about meeting up.

Both B and K have woken up crying this evening. B sweaty but no temp, and K I think just teething. Doesn't bode well for a good night though does it??

Right, am shattered, so off to bed.

See you gorgeous ladies tomorrow.

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 22:04
  • this time last year I had no sleep all night - hope we're not in for a repeat of that!
AngeG · 20/04/2008 22:05

Hi SOL Would be good to meet up again. Hope tonight is ok.

I'm glad it wasn't just me NL.

AngeG · 20/04/2008 22:06

Hope your night is ok too NL. Better than a year ago at least

Eddas · 20/04/2008 22:06

woohoo people

nl, fingers crossed you don't have a repeat sleepless night. This time last year I had a one week old, now he's walking mad isn't it

NorthernLurker · 20/04/2008 22:07

Yes it's pretty mad! As long as I don't end up with stitches and a voltarol suppository I'll be doing ok

Eddas · 20/04/2008 22:17

lol giving birth is just so glam

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 08:26

Happy Birthday Caiomhe and Beatrice!

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2008 08:27

morning everyone
