NEW THREAD!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RiaisMaLarkin · 04/04/2008 14:20

Sorry lilkel, my last message wasn't particularly reassuring.
I think I meant that if/when they find a problem, improvements are made quite quickly.

I shouldn't post on things I know nothing about

Blimey, no MN at lunchtime - I was forced to tidy the junk spare room instead. Phew, hope that's not a regular occurence.

Lilkel - I'm not new, it's ME from your 2nd NCT group, just a name change

RiaisMaLarkin · 04/04/2008 14:24

tis rubbush when you have to do housework to replace Mnet. Speaking of which, half a clean floor is no use to anyone!

Sputnik · 04/04/2008 14:41

Dur, I hadn't noticed the thread was full.

HellHathNoFury · 04/04/2008 14:59

sod this I am so bored at work.
I think I am going to leave early.

We took DS to his new nursery yesterday to triall it.
BRILLIANT. Am very pleased with it.

RiaisMaLarkin · 04/04/2008 15:12

glad the new nursery is good fury.

Bugger, I'm bored too. Can I leave early?

Friend has just brought her DS to play, and brought some outgrown toys for our DSs, which is lovely as the boys love them, but I have no-where to put them.

Still haven't finished the bedroom...

Cleaning is overated

Glad DS likes the nursery, Fury

Lilkel, I have a 2 1/2 year old blonde curly haired DD, and DS was born joint last in our group. I was at the picnic by the playground in Bushy Park that time. Does that help? Do I gather that you are moving? Where are you going to??

Izzybel · 04/04/2008 15:41

Hey all! Just posting quickly before I actually get my arse together and do some housework!
Had my last childminding workshop this morning. It was about child abuse Makes you feel sick when you think of what some people are capable of doing to children .
Had a PITA morning. First of all DD went to her Nanna's and I forgot to send her with formula (duh!) I wouldn't have minded, but DP was sat there while I was running around packing her bag, asked if I had put everything in and when I told him what I had put in he never said that I had forgotten it! Second of all I was late to college because the bloody bus driver had gotten out of the wrong side of the bed! A young lad got on the bus, playing loud music and the bus driver refused to set off until he had turned it off. Said boy finally turns music off and we set off for the bus driver to get to another stop where he again hears music. He refused to set off AGAIN until someone on the bus pointed out that the music wasn't even cming from inside the bus! It was coming from outside! What a t0$$er! It was a hospital bus too and loads of people had appointments to get to! Anyway rant over, I'll shut up now .
Hope everyone else is ok!
My mum had a varium enema(sp?) yesterday (not a colonoscopy, got it wrong ) and they haven't given her the results, but the person who carried it out said that she hadn't seen anything that she should worry about, which is a HUGE weight off our minds, as they were talking about cancer and allsorts . Thank god it isn't, as I lost my dad to that 11 years ago and don't think I could do it again

Izzybel · 04/04/2008 15:42

Ooh glad you liked the nursery, Fury!

Izzybel · 04/04/2008 15:44

Just realised that I haven't actually shut up yet!

Izzybel · 04/04/2008 15:45

Now I'm sat here talking to myself, procrastinating because I don't want to do any work.

Good to hear that about your Mum Izzy, sorry to hear that about your Dad though .

How are you doing?

Lilkel, speech is one of those things which just suddenly comes sometimes. I understand you are worried, but try not to. It might be something, but it might be nothing.

Holly, where is DD going? Is she starting a nursery at a school?

foxythesnowman · 04/04/2008 16:36

Hello MHC! That's good news about the house. Moving sucks, but once you are in, it will be fab!

That bloody first choice add with that couple kissing (well, him kissing her, she doesn't look that keen if you ask me). Its really getting on my tits. Her top is far too low.

RiaisMaLarkin · 04/04/2008 16:39

crap about your bus izzy, but sounds hopeful for your mum.

collected DS from pentathalon, he is pretty good at pistol shooting and fencing by the sounds of it (better than his annoying friend too) I am narked again, but what's new.

Scrambled egg for tea tonight as DH off out, and he has an interview tomorrow in a little country pub which is just his sort of thing, so fingers crossed! He has a meeting with a disabilities advisor next week too, to tell him what work he can do. I'd love to be a fly on the wall...

Good luck to your DH Ria.

Good news for your mum Izzy

I don't seem to have any ads here

Sputnik · 04/04/2008 17:28

Keep meaning to ask everyone....
Are any of your's on 1 nap a day yet? Baby Sputnik had a long morning nap and wasn't interested in sleeping this afternoon. Will probably be interesting times by bedtime here!

izzy - lost my FIL to bowel cancer just after our wedding - utter sadness - so DH is getting his first exam later this year - Sending healthy vibes your way!

  • and - I also had a crap bus ride this afternoon! I actually got into a fight with a grandfather riding in the buggy area because he wouldn't fold up his empty Mclaren type buggy in order to let my (fully loaded) P&T in! Sat there like a grumpy f@rt and said I shouldn't have such a big buggy - or fold mine up! (my two were sitting in mine and I was alone - he was with the grandmother! ). I thought I was supposed to stop getting angry for stupid reasons when the pg ended...

we are looking to move - next summer tho not just yet. somewhere near to Woking so DH can commute easily but in catchment of good state school (primary). And oh yeah, for my sake, it should look characterful and have nice shops in the village which I can walk to. HA! Keep dreaming, right?

Motherhurdicure - DS had 0 teeth till he was 1year, 1 day old. DD just sprouted two at 10 mo so at least that worry is off my list!

Sputnik - we're still on two naps or 1.5 naps a day. DD tends to make one of them 2 hours and the other 45 minutes but depends.

FrazzledFairyFay · 04/04/2008 19:08

We are still on 2 naps a day but they are a bit hit and miss. Some are long (up to 1 1/2 hrs) and others only 15 mins or so. He does very occasionally just have one long nap in the morning.

andiem · 04/04/2008 19:40

hi everyone found you

ds2 has two naps one of 45 mins and one after lunch of about 1.5 hrs still not sleeping through though
last night I timed him and he bf for exactly 4 mins each time he woke why can't he just sleep

mhc good news about your house sounds lovely you could take up golf and all dress in plus fours

good news about your mum izzy

for crappy bus rides everyone

must dash as off to sunny bournemouth tomorrow will catch up next week
have a good weekend everyone

justbeme · 04/04/2008 19:56

Hi again!
L had a few days this week of only having one sleep - but today she was back to 2!!!

Have a great time Andiem - you should have gotten on one of those programmes - Relocation/ or whatever!!!

Having a few problems feeding L at the moment - If she fancies something she'll put it in her mouth but if I need to spoon feed her - and she doesnt recognise what it is - there's no way she'll let it near her mouth!! Normally I get rasberries blown and her head turned away. For example tonight it was mince that I'd cooked. So I plopped some on the table and she smeared it all around and I tried to give her the spoon and she wouldnt take it - any ideas anyone?
