NEW THREAD!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DKMA · 19/04/2008 19:28

He he he he - I am v proud not wanting to rub it in or anything.......but GET ME!!!!
My hair isn't exactly 'new' it is back to how I used to have it - as on my facebook profile picture. I had it more of a mid brown for a while - and now it's back to being very dark (after my stint of ginger last summer - which my hairdresser took the piss out of me about today saying it was my 'hormones' that were asking him to bleech it all - not the real me!!

Hope you have another wonderful nights sleep SG (I am a bit slow too with the new name!)

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 19:40

Did you get the shoes too DKMA?

Tis a lovely dress, you'll look fab!

LO still 'shouting out'.

Tell me I'm not a bad mummy! She's so used to being cuddled at the first whimper, so I feel awful. But she doesn't sleep. Doesn't sleep in the day, broken sleep every night, and although she's fine, she really needs to go to sleep in her own bed. Babies need sleep.

I can't go in now as she's been at it too long and it would be unkind now. Just got to stick with it. And hold firm.

ARSE

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 19/04/2008 19:52

DKMA that's fantastic, you are going to look hot in that dress!

Foxy, it's so hard, you have my sympathies she will be fine, you all need some sleep and you need your bed back!

i'm feeling pretty hacked off too. tried making fish pie today and after she has done having tea dd cried solidly for half an hour till i eventually abandoned it and held her till dh got home. i did feel bad as i was so cross with her and frustrated that i couldn't get on with the cooking but when i picked her up she just snuggled in to me. Bad mummy :

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/04/2008 20:01

DKMA, that dress is fabulous, and I am v v jealous of size 12.

Foxy, keep it up. Just remember that she's cross not unhappy and you all need to get your nights back.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 19/04/2008 20:02

However an update on her abilities, as Daisy mentioned she didn't know DD was crawling, not only is she crawling fearlessly around the whole flat, but she is clapping, waving and pulling herself up to standing on furniture. And if you hold her up she will walk!

I'm very proud as he seemed to go a long time without doing anything, but it's suddenly all come within a few weeks.

lackaDAISYcal · 19/04/2008 20:09

foxy, you are not a bad mummy; just a mummy who needs a bit of a break and some time without DCs around your ankles. We did the go in at 3mins, then 5mins, then 10mins and so on with DD. First night it took 40mins to settle her, second night 25 mins, third night about 8 mins and next night she just lay down and closed her eyes. DH did all the shush/patting though as I would've bailed and picked her up for a cuddle.

Now she generally goes down OK, or has a bit of a bleat and then settles. Daytime naps are a whole other deal unfortunately

bumper, that's great about DD. She was obviously saving it all up!

DKMA · 19/04/2008 20:25

Thanks for your lovely comments about the dress. I've just tried it on and dh's eyes were hanging out (think I'll get licky later!!).
Foxy - I've got shoes and bag that go with it perfectly already. You are NOT a bad mummy - you're doing whats right in order to keep you all sane!
Bumper - sounds like our lo's are very similar (clapping, waving, crawling, pulling up and walking all within the last 2 weeks!?) little fella seems to think he can walk on his own though which has led to a few bumps (landed on some toys and cut his lip )
Fairy - LOVE that top - and whatever else you decide to wear with it my only peice of advice would be to wear supper sexy heals to really vamp it up (I would be tempted to get some that are really bright - but then I am a shameless tart!)

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/04/2008 20:27

What I really want is red heels to go with it - but am a size 9/10 so don't like my chances. Am off now though to have a quick search, you never know.... Night all.

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 20:28

fuck it.

she's giving me very cute smiles from her chair.

aaarrrrgghhhhhhh she's won! and she knows it!

and she's wide awake.

Bless DD! What a clever wee thing (smile)

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 19/04/2008 20:29

"think I'll get licky later!!" - DKMA we didn't need to know that

FF it's such a shame we have different sizes coz I have some red peep toes that would be fab.

How are you doing foxy?

Right, bath and a glass of wine for me...

lackaDAISYcal · 19/04/2008 20:29

eeeeeeeeeewwwww DKMA...way way way TMI

mhc, if you are about, can you help with microfibre nappies?

fairy, I accept the red shoes mission. I heart shoe shopping, even if it is only virtually

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 20:32

ooh ooh Fiary! There were some square toe red Sascha shoes in the sale on Oli here

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 20:39

That "clever wee DD" was for your DD Bumper BTW

DKMA · 19/04/2008 20:54

PMSL at 'licky'
Daisy - you're right - way tmi!!!!! ha ha ha

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/04/2008 20:58

I love those shoes Foxy, but not my size. Am also thinking that after many years of no heels, wedges are probably far safer. this is my latest thought

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 21:03

Yes to that one! It is very glam

lackaDAISYcal · 19/04/2008 21:05

lol DKMA, I just realised that was a rather freudian typo .

But you never know, you might just

my bloody itchy feet are back again.

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 21:09

There is something about itchy skin in pregnancy, something to do with the liver or kidneys? Its something to look into. Perhaps do a search on here?

A friend of mine had terrible itching inside and out and had to be checked out regularly during her PG.

DKMA · 19/04/2008 21:09

Fairy look at these babies!!

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 21:10

LOL! I didn't realise it was a typo either!

lackaDAISYcal · 19/04/2008 21:15

OC I think foxy. SG(?I think) had it, but I wasn't sure it could happen this early on. I think it might be something fungal and only wakes up when my feet are overly hot.

I'll mention it at the hospital on Monday

foxythesnowfox · 19/04/2008 21:17

Yes, that's right >

Now, I like these, but does anyone else thing they look a big odd? still like them though

Oh, the baby is still away BTW!

lackaDAISYcal · 19/04/2008 21:18

I'm being kicked off the pooter.

Casualty, CSI than bed for me, itchy feet and all.

Have a good night all and may all the babies sleep peacefully and give their mummies a break

DKMA · 19/04/2008 21:19

Oh I Like em Foxy!
I hate shopping for clothes but LOVE shopping for shoes

DKMA · 19/04/2008 21:21

best go too - I'm on a promise
