NEW THREAD!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry Fairy, only just saw your lovely tea & sympathy post!

Why does anyone need a flat tummy? Won't keep you warm in the cold weather, you know!

Sometimes I think my thighs have been swapped in the night with my MILs.

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 21:11

Flat tummies are over-rated. Has anyone heard the term 'Mummy-job' - plastic surgery on boobs and tummy to remove post-pg blubber.

foxythesnowman · 05/04/2008 21:13

Yes, rumours are that after the elective C some have a tummy tuck. To posh to push and too dumb to diet.

Bumperlicious · 05/04/2008 21:14

Fairy have you been watching Brothers and Sisters perchance? That's where I heard "mummy-job"!

Bumperlicious · 05/04/2008 21:16

Right I am off to spend some time with DH (we are watching the West Wing). Report to me tomorrow with your ab exercises. Night all x

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 21:19

Good night Bumper. I'm not a B&S fan, I saw it on some daytime crap tv that I was watching last week

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2008 21:29

Oh I heart B&S. But missed use of "mummy job" on there.

Just tried on my clothes and DH approves, but went awfully quiet when I said I was worried that I looked a bit pregnant . That is the inspiration I need to cut out the biscuits and chocs and try to get my pre-pregnancy figure and fitness back!

foxythesnowman · 05/04/2008 21:30

I'm off too. I can hear children still

LO awake

and I feel a bit queasy from the Maltesers ...

Night everyone!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2008 21:30

Actually I want the fitness more than the figure. But hopefully one will follow the other.

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 21:35

I think I'll go to bed too. Have eaten too much choc and feel a bit sick

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2008 21:37

Night folks. I think I'll follow suit. No choc here but we did have a lot of pizza and cookies

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 22:57

Oh no, it's only me left again[b;ush], and we are watching a re-run of Minder from 1984

HELP!

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 22:58

BTW,DH has the tiniest lamp turned on, hence not enough light for me to type efficiently!

That's really scraping the bottom of the barrel tv-wise.

I'm not here really. Off to bed having scoffed friend's home-made pizza (the same ones that feed us home-made pasta every weekend), plus their daughter's boyfriend's mum's home-made flan.

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 23:22

lucky you - sounds better than my evening

In my defence Jonothan Creek is on next

Goodnight!

We have snow! And it's coming down quite heavily now, much more than when I had to get up with the jamlet at 5.30

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/04/2008 06:16

Ria I hope JC was good

DKMA · 06/04/2008 09:00

We've got snow too Jammy
DH has still gone to play golf though , I think he'll end up using the driving range and then probably have a full fry up in the clubhouse and come home (fat bast**d)

I need to find a babysitter........any advice on how to go about it?

Oh and I posted on our fat fighters thread last night cos I was feeling all smug and cocky - just need to muster up enough motivation to go back to the gym today!!

Bumperlicious · 06/04/2008 09:10

Hi DKMA! Well done on the gym! It'll all be worth it.

Blankets of snow here too

No idea about baby sitters DKMA. I remember when we were kids we used to be looked after by 15 year old girls from our estate, and I used to babysit when I was 14, but I can't imagine leaving DD with a 14 year old! Though in a few years I might be so desperate for a break I'll leave her with anyone!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/04/2008 10:14

Snow is melting. But took the jamlet out in the garden (sat in her old car seat) and took some pictures Might bring a bowl in for her to play with too, so she experience the coldness. Mind she did get some experience of that in the garden as where I put her at first was under a tree which was dripping! [bad mummy]

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/04/2008 10:18

And well done on the gym DKMA! Putting me to shame. Bizarrely, clothes shopping yesterday I ended up with stuff a size smaller than I had predicted I'd need and this morning a top that had been sectioned off in the "too small" drawer fitted, but I checked the scales and I've not lost any weight. Not complaining though

All I know about babysitters is what I saw in the comedy baby book friends bought for DH on hearing we were expecting: There's a picture of a clean, young, smiling woman with a tick over it, and a big cross through the picture of a manky old tramp holding a sign saying "will sit for food"

lilQuidditchKel · 06/04/2008 11:19

hi all, snow here too - and we have a conservatory so it's absolutely dreamy.

anyway re sitters - i posted a little ad at my local newsagents and was lucky enough to get a call from a nanny with spare time. Then she had a friend who also sits for us. Is there a local baby-friendly cafe where you can post an ad? That might work too.

re the gym workout. i'm in denial about my biscuit consumption. as long as my jeans fit i figure, i must need the 'energy' which McVities provides . It does seem that one doesn't so much lose weight as become less puffy/denser after having a baby, and therefore smaller (in places)

lilQuidditchKel · 06/04/2008 11:24

oh this is funny - DH just paid for an extra sports channel but DS is protesting whenever he tries to watch it because all DS wants to see is Thomas. i shall let the men fight it out amongst themselves...

sorry about dragging you here Fairy (not really)
