NEW THREAD!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2008 18:50

Hi Ria. Yes I went shopping. Got some black trousers and some grey ones too. And two tops, but I'm not sure about either of them . Will try on again later and may end up ordering something else online and taking one or both of them back. One of them I do like (although it's not my ususal kind of thing, but I was trying to be a bit different), but they didn't have the right size for me, so I had to get one that's a bit too big. Also it's dark blue, which I have avoided like the plague since wearing navy blue at school, but maybe it's time I got over that?

Bumperlicious · 05/04/2008 19:47

Evening all

Just popping in again.

Jammy, glad you bought some nice clothes. have you decided what to wear to the swanky meal?

Sputnik, well done on the weight loss. I wish I could do it. I'm not too bad but I have a total muffin top.

Foxy you know my number if you want a chat about your situation.

Hi everyone else, JBM, lilkel, Daisy - hi glad you are doing well, you sound on good form!

Lilkel did I completely missread your posts the other day or do you know Fairy in RL? Is that just a coincidence or did you send her our way?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2008 20:07

The jamlet was on top form today. We took her here for lunch, and she had a great time, eating bits of pickled vegetables, edamame beans, salmon, pork and rice! She was really good round the shops and in the supermarket on the way home she was just so inquisitive - trying to grab everything we put in the trolley, including cookies and beer

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 20:20

Hello everyone.

Jammy, you will have to give us a virtual twirl in your new outfits.

Sorry, you are having such a crappy time at night Bumper.

I do know Lilkel we met in an NCT group, and she did direct me here in a roundabout way - she directed me to your Fb group and I came here from there. I had lurked briefly on MN in the past but not properly. I blame her for my 'decline' into MN addiction

I went shopping today too. I bought too much, and didn't try anything on so I feel a trip back to the shops to return quite a bit of it

of Sputnik's weight loss. I have serious motivation issues. My stomach is still depressingly large - you'd think that that would motivate me but instead it depresses me so much that I do nothing. Crap, I know.

Welcome back Daisy, we missed you.

Foxy, grrrrrrrrr for you.

And now my mind is blank, so..... hello everyone else

foxythesnowman · 05/04/2008 20:31

Jammy, meant to say yesterday, thanks for your nice words. They made me smile and feel good.

Just going to catch up now.

foxythesnowman · 05/04/2008 20:38

Thanks Bumper. I just really needed a rant to someone who knows her. I am partly responsible as I was not being decisive about this situation, but I was genuinely grateful for her input as its nice when someone wants to help. But not when it takes the decision making away.

Plus I think theres alterior motives involved.

Alterior? Is that right? I am now questioning my knowledge of the english language.

Anyway, LO still poorly. Just gave her a quick swish in the bath but her fingers went very quickly bluish and she started to shiver despite being boiling hot. She's sleeping in her chair now. I want her to go to sleep in her cot, but now perhaps I should wait until she is better?

Others got yelled at at tea time. Just horseplay. Am tired, grumpy and angry.

I am feeling very sorry for myself and hard-done-by. So do feel free to give me a slap. I think i need one.

Sorry. Long, waffley post.

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:39

evening all!
hope you are all well
I can't see very well - I have conjunctivitis again and it is so bad my eyes are really red and I have to stay in dim light.

Needless to say for about a week I have been feeling very sorry for myself and eating shed loads. need to stop! I was doing so well.
Well done Sputnik

Anyway I am off to bed now.

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:43

Foxy poor LO, what's wrong with her?

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 20:45

Hi Foxy and Fury.

Poor foxcub, and poor you foxy, it sounds miserable for you. Don't worry about ranting/miserableness, that's what we're here for.

foxythesnowman · 05/04/2008 20:47

Dunno Fury. She's a bit snotty, sounds like she's got a sore throat, cough.

Had a friend over to stay last night. She pointed out we've been friends for 20 years . We met at college. I am extremely that I am old enough to have had an adult friend for that long!

Well done Sputnik. No, you don't sound smug (doesn't make me feel any less though!). But I know if I continue to shovel in this box of maltesers I will never be a size 0.

Oh hum. C'est la vie!

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:48

I would settle for a size 16

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:49

Poor foxcub. A lot of it going round though. I hope she feels better in the morning.

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 20:49

I dream of size 16, I'd settle for a stable 18 at the moment.

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:51

ok that's it then, back on to starvation tomorrow. Plus I have just finished all the chocolate in the house.

I am going out for a pub lunch tomorrow, I'll just stare at some soup or something.

Bumperlicious · 05/04/2008 20:53

Ulterior foxy sorry you are having a shit time. Poor DD, perhaps it is best to hold off on the cot till she is better.

Fury, conjunctivitis again? Are you prone to it? Can you do anything to prevent it?

Jammy glad you had a good day with LO.

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:56

hey bumper

Before this year, the last time I had it I was about 8 I think. DS keeps getting colds/infections and getting it and kindly giving it to me.

We are the house of lurgy.

It's hard going right now, we are all ill, tired, (DS is waking A LOT right now and has gone back to night feeds as well, nice) and working. We are like the living dead, only coughing as we pass.

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 20:57

do people really want to be a size 0? I would be happy being a size 20

I think I maybe have the same motivation issues you have fairy (didn't realise you were such a recent addition, it seems like we've all been here forever), in that I have so far to go and it will take ages so I have a few good days then I get a bit down about it. I need a good kick.

poor foxcub, I think you have every right to rant foxy, even horseplay can be fecking annoying - even without a poorly lo - as much as out and out bad behaviour. Sho shopping was silly - never take five children at once(ok so baggins was perfectly well behaved, but still)!

I am waffling too. DCs not in bed yet either. Baggins won't drink his bloody bottle again either.

HellHathNoFury · 05/04/2008 20:57

am going to bed.
Night all!

Bumperlicious · 05/04/2008 20:58

Ok, here's the thing, I know I should post this on the other thread, but how about we pick some tummy exercises and all do them each day? Just simple ones, 5-10 mins a day? I'll do some research and post them on the other thread. We can badger each other.

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 20:58

can I have an award for over use of the word either?

OP posts:
RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 20:59

will having a flatter tummy make my bum seem to stick out further?

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 05/04/2008 21:01

I'm glad that i seem part of the furniture . I have been on since DS was about 3 months, I think.

But its Sunday Fury! You can't have a pub lunch and not have a Sunday Roast!! Just eat one roast spud, you'll be fine.

I was questioning Ulterior and Alterior, settled for Alterior as a version of Alternative.

I am really over thinking things, huh?

Maltesers are nearly gone. They have given me the strength to put the children to bed.

Maltesers - they obviously have mystical, magical powers I conclude.

RiaisMaLarkin · 05/04/2008 21:08

the bubbles in the honeycomb are meant to make you lighter

I suppose I should do something with these children...
