Any news from Tyaca lately? Hope she is ok.

BEAUTlFUL · 31/03/2008 20:54

Yes, Sarah's husband is a hottie, isn't he? No wonder she didn't mind getting back on the horse...

Egg · 31/03/2008 20:56

Gill79 · 31/03/2008 21:51

AAAARRRGGGHHHH just lost a massive post that took about half an hour to write

Sex- scary, can't be bothered, don't want to (and LO came out the emergency exit so no real excuse) But have horrible wrinkly discoloured tummy which doesn't help.

Egg had a look for you on FB a while ago - does your profile pic have a buggy in?

Leesmum lovely pics! Good idea on the weight loss group, we had one at work a few years ago which was fab and I was in charge of the stats. Athough that was competitive and come to think of it I don't think line graphs and league tables are going to be the kindest thing for us! Since am b/f am not going to go mad but it should give me the impetus to a) buy some scales and stand on them (scarier than sex) and b) eat less than 250g of chocolate a day. Sht that's a quarter of a kilo

Leesmum 10st 4lbs target 9st 4lbs
Egg 8st 7lbs target 8st 3lbs
Beautiful-But-Wobbly 12st 9lbs
Sally 11st 8lb (75kg) target 10st 7lbs (68kg)
Alkar 10st 10 target 9st 7
Gill tbc target 8st 7lb

BEAUTlFUL · 31/03/2008 23:00

I need to add a target weight to the weightloss thingy.

Here we go:

Leesmum 10st 4lbs target 9st 4lbs
Egg 8st 7lbs target 8st 3lbs
Beautiful 12st 9lbs, target 10st 4lbs
Sally 11st 8lb (75kg) target 10st 7lbs (68kg)
Alkar 10st 10 target 9st 7
Gill tbc target 8st 7lb

I need to shed 2 stone!

Do any of you have any idea how you'll lose the weight? Except cutting out chocolate, lol. (I'm addicted to it lately, really odd. Like absolutely craving it.) Cos I have quite a bit to lose, i'm going to do a diet. Not WW - it's good but too slow for me. I like the Scarsdale Diet. V old fashioned and strict but impressive. Lose lots quick & it stays off.

Lovely new pics Egg and Sarah!

Redbush - kellymom website very helpful for fast let down. I do pull her off the boob to ease the choking especially when I feel the let down coming! I also did keep offering the same boob until it was 'empty' (though they never seem to be completely empty). I also bought sage drops (called menosan) from the health food shop but haven't had to use them. LO has finally started to have longer feeds and enjoy the slow feed time at the end of a BF. I think my supply has eased up a bit too. Phew!

I know what you mean about the 10pm feed - I was trying the 'dreamfeed' but she simply would not open her mouth! stubborn! Though the time change has helped in that she only just went to bed now and she has been feeding all evening - so I'd better jump into bed to catch my 5 hours now!

Even talking about losing weight has made me eat more! I have a very perverse nature. My best bet is to make sure I eat porridge for breakfast and cook a proper lunch and dinner, (this reduces the snacking impulse between meals) and NEVER allow biscuits chocolate or icecream in the house as I have NO willpower in the evenings.

I am very excited as I got LO's passport in the post which means we ARE going to Spain next week!!!. It will be so nice to dress her in summery clothes as even try a dip in the sea!

Gill79, I'm just like you on the no-nookage. It's my crinkly/wobbly tummy that puts me off. Maybe if I bought a stretchy teddy thing, so we could hump but I could still cover it up? I know he is scared of my C-section scar! He hasn't seen it, because I won't let him. I finally looked at it yest, and it's just a small purple line. I think he imagines this blood-encrusted raw wound with rusty staples hanging out, etc. Sexy...

BEAUTlFUL · 31/03/2008 23:06

Yay on Spain trip! How lovely!!

omy · 31/03/2008 23:18

Just added a pic of LO - I realise that I haven't taken any pics for 2 weeks! Very remiss! DH left his camera charger at MILs house and we have been cameraless for a while. VERY annoying!

DH is used to my wobbly tummy - but it is difficult to get the thought out of your mind that he has seen your fanjo in a very unsexy light! Oh the power of the mind....

OMY- Laila is beautiful-fab new passport has arrived- enjoy your trip!!!

Egg · 01/04/2008 09:00

Hmmm I think my profile pic of facebook is of DS eating cake mixture last summer, but will have to double check . Wonder who the imposter with the buggy is .

There are a couple of pics of DH on my facebook pics. I will add one on here too. He is in fact very handsome .

Had to wake all three DCs today . Would not have bothered waking babies but if they feed too late the routine goes to pot. It didn't work anyway as amazingly they made it to 4:50am and 5:20am last night so were not hungry. DS1 was still asleep at 8:45 so I went in to him too to check he was ok. He is still tired apparently.

rozzyraspberry · 01/04/2008 09:03

Omy - what beautiful girls you have!

Like you Leesmum there's a lot of crap I can cut out of my diet rather than going on a diet as such. My treadmill should arrive this week which should help.

I'm not really in a position to advise on dream feeds/night waking since ds3 still waking at around 9.30pm and then twice in the night. Did get 3 1/2 hours between feeds last night though and he's only up for about 20mins for night feeds so not too bad.

Weather was crap here earlier but looks like it's brightening up so should get the kids out later after all

rozzyraspberry · 01/04/2008 09:05

oh and has anyone seen tyaca or pk about on the boards?

pobletsmum · 01/04/2008 09:20

Wow what a load of beautiful babies! I must get round to posting pics of my two lovelies. DD is in my good books (!) after going nearly 8 hrs from the start of her last feed to the start of the next feed last night!!!!!!!!!!! I fed her at 8.15 (last of several short cluster feeds) then she slept until 4am! Only problem was I was awake on and off from about 1.30 waiting for her to wake up, so am more tired than if she'd woken up and I'd gone back to sleep.

Re: dream feeds - DD will only feed when she wants to feed, otherwise she just stays asleep, smiles at me or takes a couple of sucks and comes off! I never did crack dream feeds with DS.

I'm really excited as I'm going to see a lactation consultant today. I'm sure I'm expecting too much, but I feel like I've tried everything else, so this is my last chance for trying to achieve less painful feeding. Wish me luck!

rozzy - I keep wondering about pk too. I hope she's OK. And Tyaca, please give us an update.

Lucyand2 · 01/04/2008 09:28

Its not so much the wrinkly tummy thing that bothers me, its the weird dark brown belly button

Gill79 · 01/04/2008 09:40

oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one Lucy. Why are they brown?

Egg · 01/04/2008 09:57

My belly button is ugh and brown too. Tummy ok tho.

My diet will basically be eating less chocolate as also craving it TONS each day. Also trying to get on bike 3 or 4 times a week (managing about twice at mo).

DD SCREAMING her head off poor love. Imagine she is hungry now after her 40ml feed earlier .

leesmum · 01/04/2008 12:43

Hi Ladies

Beautiful whats the Scarsdale diet? I have been really good with my eating and really trying to get more water down me aswell but i think exercise is what might work for me, i dropped Ds1 off at nursery this morning and carried on walking until i had donr half an hour and then walked back home, but i am hungry now even though i hab a banana and apple when i got in!

Poblets well done on your big sleep, but i know what you mean about waking up anyway, you think "oh i won't get too comfy cos they should be waking up soon" hope it goes ok with the consultant today, let us know how you get on x

Omy i'm very jealous of your trip away when do you go? All your girls are beautifu and am i right in thinking that DD3 is like DD2?
