OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ria, hope DS is OK. Sorry you couldn't get into the stately home

We had lunch out with friends today and the Jamlet was very good. We took one of her bowls with us and just took some food off our plates to make her dinner, chopped it up tiny and fed her spoonfuls of it.

lilQuidditchKel · 30/03/2008 19:11

hello! my DD does the "clap someone else's hands" thing too. it's so cute!

sorry can't add much else as am knackered after yet another meltdown from DS1 this afternoon. he's just turned 2 and I let him have a nap. big mistake. everytime he gets a sleep in the day he wakes up and is just the most disagreeable child ever created...

Sputnik · 30/03/2008 20:57

Hi Lilkel, that's a horrible stage, where they need a nap but are unbearable on waking if they have one.
How are you doing without your DH?

Sputnik · 30/03/2008 21:01

Had a busy weekend here. Took DD to a party yesterday, then lunch at friend's house today. Baby Sputnik charmed the socks off all the females, I think it's his dimples
Finally some nice weather too, sounds like it's been ok for you lot too.

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 21:27

Lovely weather here. We sat outside at the tearoom and had a cup of tea (and shared a mini tub of local ice cream with baggins) and it was like June. The kids were running around with no jumpers on.

DS1 is fine today, but he was alsmost screaming in pain last night and I just couldn't stand it any more, so we did the several tedious phonecalls thing and finally got told to go to the hospital to see the out of hours GP. He did at least prescribe ibuprofen and DS was able to run around as much as the others today, so is hopefully on the mend for now.

Glad you got a nice day out at last jammy.

justbeme · 30/03/2008 21:32

Good Evening all!

My computers finally fixed!!! yay!!!! ( I feel a complaint letter to Tesco broadband though!!).

Hope everyone is feeling better now ( we too had the D & V bug last week).

Had a quick scan and have promptly forgotten it all.

Has Annobal left for Australia yet?
and what was the matter with Nortys DD?

DKMA · 30/03/2008 21:40

Evening!

Just trying to find anything to do besides two crappy assignments that need to be completed by midday tomorrow............might paint my toe nails.................clean out the fridge........anythinggggggggggggg!!!!
I freekin hate assignmentssssssssssssssss!!!

Ria - bummer about going to the hospital with DS! Poor fella! Hope the drugs take the edge off whatever is up with him!

I've uploaded another video of my little monkey eating a cheesy butty onto facebook - awe god he's so lovely - if I do say so myself!!!

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 21:47

DS1 has migraine apparently, and in children it seems to cause acute abdominal pain. It explains a lot of things over the last couple of years though (and makes me feel very guilty for not having had more sympathy and thinking he was attention seeking some of the time. This parenting lark does not get easier. Even for my parents, bless them, who drove us to the hospital at nearly midnight so DH could stay home with the little DCs).

It's too late at night to clean the fridge - choose something fun!!!

Hi jbm. Good to have you back.

I'm bored. DH is watching Around the world in 80 days.

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/03/2008 21:52

Hello everyone
Ria, I hope DS gets better soon

JBM, good to have you back

DKMA, there is no excuse for fridge-cleaning on a Sunday night

I can't believe it, DS has diahorrea AGAIN. That's nearly 3 weeks on and off, poor mite. DD is also not very well. It's doing my head in, I'm not, by nature, a very patient nurse-maid.

DKMA · 30/03/2008 21:59

What a nightmare Fairy!
I've managed a bit of copying and pasting on one of the assignments - urgh.

Thanks for the fb comment Ria!

justbeme · 30/03/2008 21:59

Oh sorry about the poor little ones!
I think you're going to have to bite the bullet DKMA and get on with them (but I dont envy you!)

Oh yes, work agreed to my hours - Im off until 20/7!! and then will just do 12hrs pw - (2 evenings 17:15 - 23:15 ).

Sputnik · 30/03/2008 22:00

Nice to have you back JBM

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/03/2008 22:01

great news on the job. That sounds perfect

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 22:02

good news on work jbm.

I am feeling quite smug - I have two friends on FB I have actually met!

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 22:05

The only thing about going out and having a nice day is coming home and being "usual" is a bit of an anti-climax.

I'm off to bed. Nite all. Good luck with the assignments DKMA,

DKMA · 30/03/2008 22:08

Night Ria - and Ta!
I've got a feeling I'm going to be up late!!

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/03/2008 22:08

Goodnight Ria. I'm off too. N'night all

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/03/2008 22:10

I hope it isn't too late Ria

FrazzledFairyFay · 30/03/2008 22:11

Sorry, I must be tired - for "Ria", read "DKMA"

DKMA · 30/03/2008 22:18

Night Fairy!

Bumperlicious · 31/03/2008 08:04

Morning.

Gosh it was quiet yesterday. JBM glad you are back, and lilkel.

DKMA what are the assignments for?

I'm tired (as usual). I just don't know what is wrong with me - I always feel tired at the moment, even after sleeping for 8 hours. It's making me very anxious about sleeping, and I dread waking up.

Back to work tomorrow...

LittleMissNorty · 31/03/2008 08:18

Morning all

Bumper, after tomorrow, you'll feel much better I'm sure....the build-up to going back to work is awful....but once you're there, it'll be fine and I find I get so much more done around the house when I've got less time.

DD is really getting on my nerves this morning ...whinge, whinge, bloody whinge. Refused her breakfast...I know its me not her, but really, I've had enough and its not even 20 past 8!

Welcome back JBM - good to see you

Bumperlicious · 31/03/2008 08:51

Thanks norty. What did the hospital say about DD's x ray?

LittleMissNorty · 31/03/2008 08:55

Haven't heard yet....assume I get a phone call if there is any news.....

FWIW I've had a week off work, and go back tomorrow - and much as I love DD - I'm looking forward to it!

DD is developing a real stubborn streak with her food and its driving me mad.....her appetite has really dropped....I get worried and try to shovel more food in and then we get into a viscous circle. I'm trying to relax about it, but its SO hard....sometimes I wished I still smoked.....

Bumperlicious · 31/03/2008 09:13

Does she have any finger food yet norty? maybe she will be less stubborn if she feels more in control. I wouldn't worry too much, as long as she is still getting enough milk. It is stressful though, we have all worried about ti at one point!

Foxy if you are lurking, I have discovered the solution to cradle cap! Head and Shoulders! I read it on here somewhere and I have used it 3 times now (but we have it in the house anyway) and it's nearly all gone.
