Just noticed my packet of sesaeme seeds says "warning: produced in a factory where nuts and sesaeme seeds are handled". You don't say!

FrazzledFairyFay · 27/03/2008 19:19

DKMA - we didn;t use the babysitter in the end

andiem · 27/03/2008 19:50

have a lovely time fairy
off to eat curry with dh
catch up tomorrow

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 27/03/2008 20:05

Argh why won't DD feed! I'm so fed up with the evening feed taking and hour because DD is too interested in my mobile phone/the laptop/remote control/my hair/the tv/my cup of tea!

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 27/03/2008 20:40

Arrrgghhhh it's been an hour and a half and she still isn't feeding properly despite being tired. I just want a bath and then bed

Sputnik · 27/03/2008 20:55

Bumper, maybe try taking her into a darkened room with no distractions? It's good to have a wind-down period before bed anyway.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/03/2008 21:31

Evening. We always do the bedtime feed in the semi-dark. I've got a garden chair next to her cot and we sit there, with the room light off, but light coming in from the hallway, and then after the feed's done it's a very quick cuddle, a kiss and into the cot for the jamlet. Sometimes I have a problem in that she's too tired to be bothered to feed properly, but not with distractions.

OK, I'm off to bed, with everything crossed for a better night tonight.

BadZelda · 28/03/2008 09:31

Hello

Day off with kids today...DD1's at pre-school and DD2's asleep so just thought I'd pop in and say hello

"I have baked some brownies, I am going to take them in to work tomorrow then perhaps they'll cut me some slack"

Hey I do that too....since DH is now doing most of the childcare / cleaning etc I've been making lots of cakes and pies for him...and bringing a couple to work too. Just got my first pay cheque in 9 years! THAT FELT MOST ODD.

Fairy, did I read right that LO is walking? Amazing! Matilda's crawling v. fast now and cruising the furniture, but I don't think she'll be an early walker....fine by me!

Sputnik · 28/03/2008 10:09

Hello Zelda. It's super-quiet on here atm as Daisy is away .
Any nice plans for that paycheck then?

BadZelda · 28/03/2008 10:33

Not just yet...was a nice paycheck though. Just hope that they haven't made any massive mistakes about tax and next month it'll be way less (I'm just a worrier).
What's in the queue? Holiday, new laptop and shiny lenses for DH's SLR

lackaDAISYcal · 28/03/2008 10:52

One of these days, I'm going to get myself to Italy and give you a kick up the bum young lady

crapola here atm. DD isn't eating, won't nurse and is refusing anything more than about 3ozs formula

Last night she was in bed at 6:15, then woke at 11, then 12:30 then 1, then 2:30, then 3:30, than 5, then 6 then 7:30. fuck knows what's wrong with her. She was very tired and cuddling in and then screaming. she wouldn't let me put her down, but didn't want to be held iyswim. she has finally gone back to sleep after screaming for about half an hour but she could barely keep her eyes open. My poor Sis and BIL. BIL had to get up for work today.

Anyway, gotta go and do stuff.

catch you all later

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 28/03/2008 12:19

Same problem here daisy, can anyone help me here.

It's my birthday today, I got a dress from DH (that I bought myself ) and a couple of framed picks of DD.

LittleMissNorty · 28/03/2008 12:22

Aww Daisy.....seems we're all suffering with LOs atm. Bumper, is 10 months under one of those clouds on that chart of yours?

DD was good as gold during her x-ray . While we were at the hospital I noticed a rash all over her tongue and mouth though ....doctor wouldn't see her [useless twats] but diagnosed thrush over the phone and gave me something to put in her mouth 4 times a day - which she hates! She puked in her sleep the other night and went through 3 lots of clothes, sheets, blankie and sleeping bags in 30 minutes, she's also been refusing milk (3 days now) and yesterday refused solids as well just to add to it - she ate the sum total of 2 yogurts in 24 hours, then had massive diarrhoea whilst out yesterday afternoon and was driven home sitting on a black sack - didn't want to dirty the car seat!

So Daisy, I fully sympathise and also - fuck knows what is wrong. Top teeth look very sore but, FFS this has been going on for days. She's turning into a walking health text book - what is next I wonder?! The sooner these teeth cut, the better!

Jammy, hope today is better for you....I too have feeling like that and hope DD is well enough for nursery next week - I look forward to work sometimes.....what a fucking week off we've had!

LittleMissNorty · 28/03/2008 12:23

Happy birthday Bumper and how scary ...hope you get some answers...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/03/2008 12:31

Happy Birthday Bumper! Have a great day, and hope you get some answers about your Q soon.

Norty, I also can't wait for these teeth to come through. She's been a miserable so&so all week. Very clingy, not sleeping well at night, but plenty of naps by day, bit of a temperature, very red cheeks, not eating as well as normal. Gums feel like teeth are just under the surface, I hope we see them soon!

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 28/03/2008 12:32

Norty, not sure how it converts into weeks but here is the chart.

Any results from the x ray? Sound like she has the D&V bug, poor thing

FrazzledFairyFay · 28/03/2008 13:13

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMPER
Can't offer any medical advice, sorry. I think I'd take her to see Gp for reassurance, if it was me.

Norty, it sounds as if you are having an awful time. I hope she perks up soon.

Sputnik · 28/03/2008 13:54

Happy Birthday Bumper
And to Fairy too for yesterday, as I think I forgot

Norty, sounds like you and DD have been having a nightmare time. Hope she gets over it soon and take care.

Daisy, might've known you'd be checking on us! You are welcome to come and kick my butt anytime, with all the exercise I've been doing your foot will hopefully bounce right off again.

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/03/2008 16:15

Happy Birthday Bumper & belated wishes to Fairy.

Hope things better soon chez Norty & Jammy.

The breathing thing sounds worrying Bumper, I would definitely ask doc for advice. As for feeding, I do the bedtime feed in the bedroom in the dark too now. Was impossible to get DD to concentrate on the feed & not on the TV, her dad, my bra strap, a bit of fluff on the couch, etc. I avoid feeding in public as much as poss too now.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/03/2008 17:29

The Jamlet has clapped her hands by herself And has exhibited some fine rolling skills this afternoon. All in all it has been one of the best afternoons we've had in ages And I made crabcakes for her tea based on Fury's recipe from a couple of weeks ago. She loved them

Sputnik · 28/03/2008 18:00

Glad thing are going better in the Jam household

Sputnik · 28/03/2008 20:15

Baby Sputnik can clap my hands, does that count?
Am I the only one whoes DC's do that?
Where is everyone ?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/03/2008 20:23

Dunno Sputnik, but 'tis very quiet. I've been off doing bedtime, sorting out the rubbish (though DH went out in the rain to take it to the roadside, bless him ), folding nappies, and making tea (sausages, mash, and onions if anyone's interested).

FrazzledFairyFay · 28/03/2008 20:24

Hi sputnik, I'm lurking and ebaying . Won't be here long though as haven't cooked dinner yet

My DS definitely doesn't clap my hands. It sounds like baby sputnik has a unique skill He has been known to clap his own, but only a couple of times so quite possibly accidental rather than intentional .
