Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 18:36

Hi lilkel! how are you? long time no 'see'. how's the LO (apart from not sleeping ?

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 18:40

Scooby doo was on when we got our colour TV.

Jammy, I hope you feel better soon. this D&V thing sounds horrible. thankfully we've only had a very mild version of it here; DD and I were OK again after a day or two.

Right, bathtime for the little ones. I'll be back later no doubt!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 19:18

OK, the jamlet is in bed (dare I hope for a 3rd good night in a row?). DH wants soup. Dare I have any?

Izzybel · 25/03/2008 19:31

Woohoo! DD is in bed at record time! Don't think she's ever been in bed earlier than 8 o'clock there always seems so much to do!
Hope you're feeling better, Jammy!
Lol at remembering black and white telly!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 19:37

well done Izzy! Enjoy your "extra" time

So I've half a tin of Heinz tomato soup. Fingers crossed.

LittleMissNorty · 25/03/2008 19:38

When I left home I had a B&W telly....cos the license was only £22 ....I also have "O" levels..

Jammy, hope you're feeling better soon....its so miserable looking after babies and people when you're ill....

hello Lilkel...good to see you? How are your DCs? I saw your FB pics the other day and they are looking lovely

btw, Gok is filming how to look good naked at Bluewater on 4th April if anyone is interested....

Right, need a stroller....

Izzybel · 25/03/2008 19:41

I have GCSEs I feel so young nerner!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 19:46

I did the B&W TV thing in my first years away from home too, to save on the licence fee. We also had a B&W licence although we had a colour TV for a few months as students. We figured that if we were registered as having a licence they'd leave us alone for longer, and if they did a spot check we would claim we had only just bought the TV second hand and offer to pay the difference asap.

lilQuidditchKel · 25/03/2008 19:47

Jammy sorry you're not feeling great. Maybe treat yourself to an early night?

So funny having you all talk about the introduction of Lilt, Spandeau Ballet etc. Tee hee hee. I know I can remember those things but still refuse to acknowledge it somehow means I'm old...having just had another birthday they get more and more surreal each year. DS's was much more fun! (12 March he was 2! )

Thx for the props re my LOs Daisy. Our holiday was totally fab and SOOOO necessary. I had DD with a 14.5 mo gap so I feel your pain. And after 2 years straight of being pg and dead-ass tired I'd have done anything for a break. Thank you, Mark Warner...

So when is your due date??

DD is doing fab. 10 months today, bit clingy but becoming quite charming -- better not be getting broody tho as I'm def not ready for a 3rd! Mealtimes are totally messy as she fights to feed herself/shampoo herself with her meal. In a way it's nice to look at DS, who's just a bit older than her at 2yr, and say, ok, it will all pass, really it will...but then there are his tantrums and utter ridiculousness... sigh.

Why did I do this again?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 19:50

Thanks Lilkel. Don't think we'll be very late to bed. But managing a bit later than last night - the moment DD's head hit the matress we were off to bed!

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 20:08

Not sure on the due date as my periods were a bit erratic, but we know when we did the act (Valentine's day) as it is such a rare occurence in this household . I ovulated pretty soon afterwards, so anything from 1st - 10th November I reckon. I'm waiting on my scan to confirm the dates, but I reckon I'm about 8weeks at the moment.

I am soooo not looking forward to having two under two!

HellHathNoFury · 25/03/2008 20:24

Evening all
Hope the soup stayed where it was meant to Jammy.
So much illness

DS is teethin g badly tonight so has gone to bed with a bellyful of calpol.

I have finished all my easter eggs so I am forced to resume diet tomorrow!

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 20:39

Nice to see you Lilkel

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 20:46

So Daisy, if it's a boy you can call him Valentine

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 21:45

Evening everyone, I bet you've all gone to bed now!

Hey lilkel, good to see you. Glad you are well, if a little tired! Have you decided where you are going to move to yet?

Bumper, I still have my Keypers! I have the pink snail one and a couple of baby Keypers. My sister had the orange ladybird. I also still have my Popples, Sylvanian Families, Care Bears and My Little Ponies! My mum also bought me a boxed Rainbow Brite for Christmas to match my Starlite horse! I was a very spoilt child! I can't wait to get them all out for dd! I'm feeling seriously nostalgic now!

Jammy, hope you are better in the morning, you poor thing.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 21:45

that's hat i think sputnik, but DH just gave me "the look" when I suggested it . Yorkshiremen are way too macho to have ponsy names like Val, apparently.

Actually we're having a name dilemma already, and disagreeing on everything.

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 21:52

You lucky beggar Holly! Having a younger sister meant the majority of my toys got destroyed I didn't have loads either, but my bf was an only child and very spoiled so I got to play with her toys. She had loads of Barbies and barbie clothes.

Oooh popples! Care Bears I had Cheer Bear.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 22:10

I am going to raid my parents' loft at the weekend and get all my toys down! I can't wait to see my Care Bears and my Rainbow Brite horse! I hope they aren't ruined, I haven't seen them for years! Oooo my My Little Ponies will be there too, oh I loved my Applejack, she was my fave toy ever!

Daisy, my dp is a dullard too! No poncey names allowed in this house! I think it may be because of his stupid name and not wanting to inflict such pain on one of his offspring!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 25/03/2008 22:14

Righto, I'm off before I buy any toys from ebay!

Peace out xxx

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 22:17

I think Valentine sounds like a cricketer's name.
Would that work on your DH Daisy?

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 22:21

Mine was Hopscotch, oh Holly, don't you just want to sit down and play ponies together?!

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 22:34

Pah, you young whippersnappers.

I can remember (just) Decimalization
You don't even know what that is, do you?

And I remember my Dad bringing home a calculator. He had borrowed it for work from the university.

Perhaps I should just get my slippers on, pick up my Ovaltine and take the chairlift up to bed.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 22:38
lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 22:40

bloody hell sputnik, that was 1972 wasn't it? even I was only three then!

I do remember, when I was about 10 or something, trying to find various coins from the year of my birth and being really cheesed off that I couldn't find 2p, 1p or 1/2p coins. My family let me search for fecking months before they told me about decimilisation

Sputnik · 25/03/2008 22:40

Have some Ovaltine Daisy
