Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sputnik · 25/03/2008 15:37

Yeah Daisy, I was forgetting that I still look a few month's pg too

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 15:52

The joys of having a girl holly! When Foxy and I were shopping on saturday she grimaced at a pair of jeans with my little pony on the pocket and my eyes just lit up as they were my toy of choice when I was little! I can't wait until DD is old enough for My Little Pony and Sylvanian Families etc.! Now if I could just find her a Keeper...

Daisy, how lovely being a Godmother. Hope you get a nice dress. Part of me is slightly nostalgic for pregnancy clothes. You don't have to dress up much to be considered glam when you are pg. Now I have no excuse, just a muffin top, which, curvy (ahem) as I was before being pg, is new to me. I was all hips and thighs before. Now I have a jelly belly

Daisy, sorry about the bfing Haven't had to deal with teeth yet, but DD's have only just come through so there is plenty of time. I did think her pinching and scratching might be the end of it for us, I especially have no tolerance for it when I am tired.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 15:56

oh, I was forgetting about the nipping as well bumper. My moles and my tattoo do not come off little girl!

since DD I've been all belly wheras beofre I used to have quite a curvy hourglass figure. I've gone from being a pear to an apple and I don't like it! I bought Davina McCall's video so will start in earnest after my hols.

LittleMissNorty · 25/03/2008 16:02

Hello all

Hope you all had a good Easter and hope you ill ones are feeling better today

We're on leave this week but DD has gone to nursery today and we went to Bluewater and had a nice leisurely lunch after plenty of shopping - FAB

Spent the whole time looking at other peoples babies - miuss her like mad ...off to collect her now

andiem · 25/03/2008 16:11

lordy I only did the school run and there's masses no wonder I couldn't catch up with a weeks worth
we have nipping issues here and tbh I am a bit fed up with all the feeding ds2 would feed all day and night if he could I have cut out mid morning feed but am still on about 6 a day I was back at work and just doing morning and night with ds1 by now and I would really like to do that
am thinking of introducing formula in the day and just bf am and pm but feel really guilty about it dh says he thinks I've done my bit
ho hum will see how next couple of weeks go

daisy you have been an absolute star after all your probs and you are pregnant now I agree with everyone else you need a break

bumper step away from the my little pony jeans that would be a fashion crime on a baby

Izzybel · 25/03/2008 16:36

Hiya .
I just wanna say my DD already has some My Little Pony jeans . DP bought them from soccer world. They're 6-9 months, but they're big so they don't fit her yet.
Polly Pockets used to be waaay better than they are now!
Bumper, I used to have a swan keeper but I sold it a couple of years ago on a car boot

Sorry for those of you who are/have been ill.

I might not have to do any painting in the lounge, afterall! DP has decided to get decorators in yippee! I'll still be sorting out the skirting boards though, which is the worst bit, boooo!

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 16:46

My soup smells lovely - chicken, veg & lentil. Meant to be a WW recipe but I improvised a bit. Still very diet friendly though.

I love that dress daisy, you just HAVE to buy it!!!!!!

I have just dragged two moaning boys round the village for about 1.2 an hours walk. Baggins is asleep in his pram, poor little poppet was quite inconsolable before we went. It did just start to snow before we got in.

I agree about the feeding daisy, you have done really well all things considered. I wasn't even brave enought to risk teeth, but now being able to see that baggins does not have "baby" teeth, but proper adult-sized ones, I am glad I chickened out (still feel a bit sad from time to time, esp with him being poorly as he won't have a dummy and there's nothing else to comfort suck). He likes to poke DHs tattoo.

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 16:46

please read 1.2 as half

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 17:06

what the blooming heck is a swan keeper?

My bis Sis bought DD some lovely dungarees for Christmas. They have a frilly flowery hem and patches and lining in the same material and would be quite lovely; if it wasn't for the bloody great winnie the poo embroidered on the right leg. I've never been a fan of character stuff on babies.

I feel very green about the gills all of a sudden. I'm making some oven chips and I think it's the smell of the hot oil.......bleargh.

your chicken soup sounds lovely Ria

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 17:06

ria the dress in only a size 14 though! not sure it'd fit me, even allowing for it being maternity.

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 17:14

A keyper they had keys that opened a little secret compartment. I had fancy the snail.

Think Polly Pocket may be just past my time but my sister had it.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 17:25

you know you're getting old when something from the 80s (ie your coming of age era) is labelled as vintage/retro. For me that's the 50s/60s

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 17:38

Nostalgia for you daisy?

lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 17:39

cheeky cow

BumperliciousAteTooManyEggs · 25/03/2008 18:10

Ah, you'd never get one over my arse

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 18:22

My soup was delish, and I'll only be 1 point over what I should have if I stick to my plan for supper. Not bad for me.

Why does nowhere except the supermarket we DIDN'T go to today sell Hipp Organic formula? Luckily we will have enough until tomorrow but will have to go out hunting for it then.

I didn't have a keeper, I had a glo-worm, and some care bears,o h and one of those ribbon dancing sets

lilQuidditchKel · 25/03/2008 18:23

Hello? Been ages just had to check in despite wailing baby and Cadbury mini egg chocolate on my fingers...
DH away tonight and next 4 nights - TG my Mum is coming (all the way from the US!) to help out. My 2 LO's woke up at 3:30 am this morning...YAWN.

Daisy is this right, you're pg again? Sorry don't read the previous paragraph about me moaning. You'd think by 10 mo I'd be getting sleep but alas both ours share a room. I know loads of people do it but how do they get any sleep??

Just got to get through the next hour...

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 18:24

Would it be wrong to wait 10 mins for DH to get in before I start bathtime? Poor baggins has so many spots it takes ages to lotion him.

The bigs boys are moaning they feel ill again. We must have some bad karma in our house. Tomorrow they will eat a proper meal and not fob me off with "I only want porridge/bread and butter because I've got tummy ache". They probably need a good feed...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 18:25

Over the years I have been made to feel extremely old for the following things:

Having O'Levels, not GCSEs
Remembering B&W TV
Remembering the introduction of the exciting new drink, Lilt

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 18:26

hi lilkel, how ya doin? (apart from the no sleep thing)

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 18:28

are you feeling better jammy? I remeber b&w TV. and the beginning of channel 4. I get Spandau Ballet and that other band with Tony Hadley in it mixed up though. DH gets quite annoyed

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 18:30

Was feeling better Ria, but then had a slice of bread & butter while DD had her tea as I was feeling all washed out and thought I needed fuel, and now feel grim again

RiaisMaLarkin · 25/03/2008 18:33
Sad
lackaDAISYcal · 25/03/2008 18:35

hey lilkel . Good to have you back among us. Room sharing must be hard as I suppose they'll wake each other up. the absent DH thing does get easier after a while, and now DD is older, DS entertains her a lot which means I can MN without too much guilt!

yes i am pregnant...silly old me . there'll be 17 months between DD and the next one . We're used to the idea now, but it wasn't exactly planned. One of those, it'll be all right moments, except it wasn't.

At least I don't have to be worried about the state of my saggy belly for a while.

your holiday snaps on fb look fantastic; your DCs are just sooooo cute

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/03/2008 18:35

I remember when my parents got a colour TV, and me & mum sat down to watch Coronation St that evening, and both exclaimed at once "Oooh, it's a ginger cat!"
