Hi all. Sorry your trip wasn't as good as expected Izzy. I haven't been to Chester zoo for years but loved it when I did go. Trace, sorry that Chloe's got to go back to hospital. She's been (as have you all, with her) through so much. Fingers crossed for a proper diagnosis and some calmer times ahead soon. Ria, hope your boys are all OK, sounds like they have really been in the wars this afternoon.

Ther jamlet has been rather out of sorts all day. With red cheeks we'd just assumed teething and at tea time I noticed her face was very hot to touch so checked her temperature - 38.9. Seems she's probably been feeling under the weather all day, bless her. It explains why she's slept so much. Calpol started to bring it down by bedtime however, and she had a good tea so fingers crossed for a good night.

OK off to drink some very smooth and easily quaffable wine with DH and catch up with some TV that got recorded while we were away...

trace2 · 22/03/2008 19:45

hi jammy sorry about your dd i hate seeing them ill poor mite! how many teeth as she now or any? chloe still not got any lol

EasterBunnylicious · 22/03/2008 21:28

Evening all, just checking in then probably off to bed as was up at 6am again this morning

Had a lovely shopping trip with Foxy and foxcub no.4. Foxy, I went back and bought that dress in oasis (this but in turquoise. It's for 2 weddings that I have this summer and was £75 reduced to £35.

Trace good to hear from you, really hope you get a dx soon, and some respite care. Look after yourself, you are always so upbeat

Jammy hope the jamlet is ok.

Hi JBM, how are you doing? Did you hear daisy's news? She's pg again! (and my money was on Foxy...)

Ria, hope your boys are ok now.

See you all soon everyone, hope you are having a lovely Easter. off to MIL tomorrow as it's her birthday.

RiaisMaLarkin · 22/03/2008 22:02

Hi again. No offence to you guys but I'd forgotten how much fun RL friends can be. (And she's staying in a Haven caravan on the East Coast in the snow).

hi trace, glad to hear things are fairly stable, hope all goes well.

poor jamlet. hope she's ok.

glad you had a good secret meetup bumper

Happy easter!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/03/2008 06:38

Morning all and Happy Easter!

Unsettled evening but she slept from 12-6 uninterrupted, so that was good. But 2 nasty, green, liquid nappies so far this morning, only one of them was without a nappy on - nice. (Sorry if TMI)

RiaisMaLarkin · 23/03/2008 08:42

Morning jammy. Poor jamlet.

Happy Easter.

We have a tiny bit of snow here, and baggins has chicken pox. Can get out of taking DS1 to church now though

So we'll have an easy day I think (I look like a swollen thing this morning from painting yesterday - even the low odour stuff makes me swell up). Might wrap up warm and have a gentle walk to put flowers on my grans grave before lunch, and then visit the GPs later (the boys hoping for more eggs of course! They have two each and a sticker album and Dr Who trading cards - we're not really into easter).

BTW, my cat was sat on top of the pet cage this morning, just about to poke his paw through the gap

Have a good day

lackaDAISYcal · 23/03/2008 09:27

Happy Easter.

WE have been ujp since 6 this morning when we did our easter egg hunt. Like you trace I did clues and hid eggs. Took me hours to think of it all, and DS ten minutes to find them! Good fun though, and his wee face when he worked them out.

I'm glad things are a bit more stable with Chloe, and that the biopsy goes well. If you need some advice on the gliten thing, feel free to CAT me or email me trace. I've got coeliac disease so can't have gluten of any sort and can point youo in the direction of the best GF alternatives . Once you have a definate dx for her though you'll be able to get things like bread on prescription for her as it can be pretty expensive otherwise.

We must sort out a meet up!

Ria, sounds like it's been fun and games in your house this weekend, and sorry for poor baggins. I hope he doesn't get too spotty

Izzy, you brave soul venturing to the szoo in this weather.

We are up to our ankles in snow this morning; so are having a lazy day as it's too cold to go out. We're in our jammies still, and are watching The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Have a good day everyone.

lackaDAISYcal · 23/03/2008 11:05

bumper, I know you're out there.....come and say hello and tell me about your shopping trip

the boys are watching Narnia, DD is sleeping and I'm booooooooored!

EasterBunnylicious · 23/03/2008 11:17

Hello daisy! Well considering I'm not supposed to be buying stuff I did pretty well [blsuh]

I got the dress I linked to. Some gold shoes that were £7 (foxy made me buy them!), a hair brush for DD, erm, and that's it. We had a lovely day though, I heart foxy! We defo must organise a big meet up.

How are you feeling anyway? My bf (Lcy) who is pg has just had D&V. She's due in August I think, things seem to be going well.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/03/2008 11:27

Hi Bumper, Daisy, lurkers ...

Our plans have crashed & burned - friends can't come because of snow Hoping to come tomorrow though. DD had a 3rd bad nappy but now seems OK. Has had a good roll & wriggle around and is now crashed out on my lap, giving me a chance to MN.

lackaDAISYcal · 23/03/2008 11:34

I've said hello to lcy a few times on the knicker checker thread bumper

I'm fine, ms isn't too bad, but I think I'll be stopping feeding DD soon . She really seems to be going off it, mucks about when feeding plays with my nips, and then bites me . Whereas she wolfs formula down like you wouldn't believe. My body can use the break though before the next onslaught.

Jammy, sorry your plans have gone belly up. Is the snow bad where you are then?....So, what are you going to do with all the eggs you bought for the egg hunt?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/03/2008 11:40

No snow here, but they have it at their end so don't fancy setting out. Also, we think their boys want to play in the snow Have just rung pub and rescheduled lunch for tomorrow, so hope they do make it over, else I'm going to look like a right pain if I have to ring again and cancel. Eggs will just have to wait until tomorrow as well, I'm sure it won't hurt doing it a day late

HellHathNoFury · 23/03/2008 19:19

Happy Easter All

I have always known DS was a hungry lad but I had him weighed today and he weighs over 25lbs...and is in the 99th centile. He is also 75cm tall. Mum wants me to put him on a diet, she says he'll get fat!!! Well... maybe he will but he seems happy and I'd rather he liked his food than not.
Today took the piss though - eggy bread and a whole banana for breakfast, salmon, mash, brocolli and cabbage and a yoghurt for lunch, spaghetti hoops and toast for tea and lasagne and bread and butter pudding for dinner. Plus milk. He is massive and is beginning to do real damage. Bless.

Hope you are all having a wonderful break... very envious of your meet up Foxy/Bumper, I would love to have gone if I had known.

foxythesnowman · 23/03/2008 19:33

Oh bugger Fury! I'm sorry,, you should have said! Is Bristol do-able for you then? Will deffo remember that for next time!

Good for DS too. Better to have an eater than not IMO!

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good break.

RiaisMaLarkin · 23/03/2008 19:35

Hi fury - you disappeared. Glad you are ok. Sounds like DS feels a bit better too.

I'm knackered. It's been a long day.

Sorry your plans went awry jammy. Better luck for tomorrow.

DH & DS1 (feelingill with tummy ache) are watching The Colour of Magic and I don't get it.

DS2 is getting into trouble for talking over the TV (bloody MEN)

Baggins is spotty and a bit sad, but he climbed on top of his toybox earlier

I am taking DS2 to bed them I'm going to get into my PJs and have some wine. There's sod all on the telly tonight. I may be here a while

justbeme · 23/03/2008 19:43

Evening!
DAISY!!!! Congrats!! when are you due?

Sorry to hear about Baggins Ria.
Trace, L is still quite small - she weighed in at 15lb 15 last week. She's really been off her food recently and refuses to be spoon fed - although sometimes i can shovel a few in!! Its hard work knowing what to give her. She was eating really well at one point too.

Took her swimming this afternoon, which she seems to like.

Im going back home tomorrow, so back to no computer. I wasted weeks waiting for a recovery disc to come from Iqon, my system manufacturer - only to find out last week that they've just gone bust!!.

Hows every one else?

HellHathNoFury · 23/03/2008 20:06

JBM That sucks about your PC.
Ria - sorry to hear about the woes in the Ria household!

I am up for a Bristol meetup - as long as it's a weekend. TBH I knew you and Bumper were meeting up - I figured it was an alone thing else the invite would have been extended! Not to worry, I took DS swimming that day.

Hope everyone is well. I am LOVING my Easter break and have really enjoyed the time with DH and DS despite there being too much snow to do much. I have eaten like a pig and back on the diet tomorrow.
Can't believe I have another day off, it's just wonderful.
You really miss the days with your family when you go back to work I think. I love work, and I love the financial freedom... but this holiday has just been brilliant for me.

Sputnik · 23/03/2008 20:19

Hi everyone, what a pain about your computer JBM, hope you can sort out something soon.

Hi Trace, if you're still around, have they decided it's not CP then? Hope you can get a break soon, and hugs to Chloe.

I came down with some kind of stomach flu on friday and have been out of action, feeling better today and at least it meant I didn't pig out at lunch with the in-laws today.

Sounds like some of you are having a white easter, it has been constantly pissing down with rain here.

lackaDAISYcal · 23/03/2008 20:42

hey jbm; that's a real pisser about the recovery disk. Can you ask on here if anyone has one? Or can you get hold of one online from somewhere? . I'm due end October/beginning November. Not too sure of dates, but will get it confirmed at my 12 week scan. Am about 8 weeks I reckon now, and the bone crushing fatigue has kicked in (or that could just be being up half the fecking night with a fussy, biting little madam )

Fury, I wouldn't worry about DS....after all some babies have got to be on the top (or bottom) of the charts. He sounds like he is pretty mobile as well and it'll all start to drop off once he's running about. It's good that he likes his food, but it does sound like he eats more than me!

DD is around 19lbs I think (unless her weight is keeping on dropping. I'll get her weighed when we come back from our trip. The doc said to leave it a month.

She has had really yucky nappies today, but those pesky top teeth are moving again, and I think the next two bottom ones are coming in as well.

DS ate so much chocolate today. I got fed up saying No to him so just said, "Go on kid, knock yourself out" He ate the egg from his big egg and 2 cream eggs......then I said No more!

sorry you're feeling yucky sputnik.

HellHathNoFury · 23/03/2008 20:54

Daisy that's good reasoning - and I daresay Holly's DS is giving my DS a run for his money as from memory he was right on the top on the charts a couple of months ago. I just couldn't believe it, I knew he was heavy but he is nearly 26lbs. We weighed the food that he ate today - it was close to a kilo. I am just wondering if it's normal... and if we can afford to feed him by the time he is 5!!

I laugh it off but I am worried a bit - it doesn't seem normal, he eats almost as much as me (and I am no lightweight!)

Having said that he is a bit mobile, he is taking steps now and plays chase for hours with the dog.
His first tooth is about to break too.

Daisy you have my sympathies - the fatigue in those first few months almost killed me!

Sputnik sorry to hear you have been ill. I can't believe all the illnesses at the moment.

Sputnik · 23/03/2008 20:57

Oh I'm ok now. I so don't envy you the pg tiredness and MS Daisy.

Sputnik · 23/03/2008 21:18

Baby Sputnik weighed in on wednesday at 26.5 lbs, but a bit shorter at 73cms. He's only put on 1kg since xmas though. He's regained his taste for milk but does a pretty thorough job with the solid stuff too.

RiaisMaLarkin · 23/03/2008 21:32

If it helps ease your worries baggins is wearing DS2s 12month babygros. Haven't had him wieghed for ages with DS2 being poorly, and won't be going this week as I don't want a reputation for spreading the pox! But hey, me & DH aren't stick-insects!!! And they aren't supposed to eat if they don't want to. It's no help at all but when he grows up he'll pribably get really picky and eat next to nothing (like a certain almost-11 yo I know who used to be a gorgeous chubby baby and would eat forever if we let him, tonight he had porridge for tea, and I had to go to my mums to get the oats cos we'd run out. Sometimes his "anxiety issues" can be really irritating - he has a tummy ache so won't eat in case he's sick.)

Sorry, long rambling post. Watching The Darling Buds on DVD. Happy days!

Sputnik · 23/03/2008 21:38

Sorry to hear Baggins has the pox too Ria

HellHathNoFury · 23/03/2008 21:38

Good grief baby sputnik is a big one!

Ok well I am glad I am not alone - I just couldn't believe my mum telling me to cut down his food - no wonder I have f*ckin food issues all my life (as do all my brothers and sisters) if my bloody mother wants me to put a 9 month old on a diet.

Hearing that he is not that overweight, and it's normal, helps!
