Bumper, you made me feel very old with those shoes....you are talking to someone who goes to M&S comfy range (but I have to admit to love all the 80's shoes that are coming back...probably still got some in my wardrobe

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/03/2008 17:32

Thanks for vibes folks. Am hearing scary stories of folk paying 40 % over asking price. Obviously not in my area, just the ones I want to move into .

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 20:16

I'm buggered. That was the worst teatime/getting to bed for a long time.

Lindt chocolate Bunny anyone?...before I scoff what's left of it.

foxythesnowman · 20/03/2008 20:29

ahh, tis just like old times Daisy

what happened at teatime? Or do you not want to talk about it? Just relaaaaaax.

Sputnik · 20/03/2008 20:34

Take a deep breath Daisy. The bunny is all yours, I've got my own chocolate
Actually I've been stuffing my face all afternoon

Sputnik · 20/03/2008 20:38

Foxy, you should've brought your ruined pans to me

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 20:43

just the usual. DD has been funny about feeding all day and was very hungry and grumpy, but spitting out everything I tried to put in her mouth. the usual battles with DS not sitting in his chair, holding his cutlery at the ends by his fingertips so food goes flailing everywhere; him sounding like a very noisy waste disposal when eating and drinking...yahdayahdayahda. I know i should pick my battles, but sometimes it just gets to me!

and DDs skin has flared up again (probably not helping her in the misery stakes). It was nearly cleared up and looking lovely, then for the last three days I have given her formula and bam it's all nasty spotty and itchy again. I don't know if it's just a coincidence but I stopped using the combined fungicide/steroid as I'd been applying steroids to her for over two weeks. Any way, it's back to the docs again for us tomorrow.

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 20:47

oooh good tip sputnik; I burnt the arse out of not one but two pans when making and then reheating misterstrone soup the other day. they are still soaking on the hob

Sputnik · 20/03/2008 20:51

KWYM Daisy, DD fell off her chair because she wasn't sitting on it properly AGAIN, sat on the floor howling and then banged her head on the table getting up. So right fun and games here too.

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 20:54

what is it with kids and fecking chairs? DS falls off his chair all the time as well as he balances on one bumcheek. I mean, we've paid for the whole chair, so why not use it.

Sputnik · 20/03/2008 21:00

Right, and in my case we paid A LOT for the bleddy chair, as it's a Tripp Trapp and meant to encourage good posture and positive family interaction at the dinner table. ROFL.

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 21:04

is that ROFL with your DD, or at your DD?

Sputnik · 20/03/2008 21:13

Ha, that should be ROFC
Actually I was less than sympathetic.
Well I let her sit on my lap, I'm not a total cow (well not always)

lackaDAISYcal · 20/03/2008 22:23

am definately off for an early night tonight.

No school tomorrow so I need to be on top form.

I stupidly ate chinese food yesterday though so i'm guessing I won't be.

where is holly? she's gone v v quiet?

EasterBunnylicious · 21/03/2008 08:07

Morning, how are you all.

Daisy hope today is better for you.

I am going to a free gym session today. It's one of those deals where they will try and get me to join but best of luck to them as I have no money (though I might consider it if they had a creche but they don't).

justplainoldRia · 21/03/2008 08:14

Good morning. Happy first day of school holidays and happy Good Friday.

Have fun at the gym bumper.

I think we are going to spend some of our precious and dwindling cash on a tin of paint (DS likes bright turquoise) so I can get all the stuff put back upstairs.

Our houseguests have arrived - apparently it was 9pm last night (I was putting DS2 to bed because he feels poorly again)

It is sodding cold and we have a tiny dusting of snow.

justplainoldRia · 21/03/2008 08:15

BTW daisy - lemon juice for stains on stainless steel.

lackaDAISYcal · 21/03/2008 10:59

morning

we had a bit of a lie in this morning . DD was up at three, fed and then slept until after 8....yipee.

Of course DS was up at half six as usual, but he just gets on with it himself these days. He even managed to get some breakfast this morning!

Having a bit of a lazy day. The weather looks gorgeous, clear blue skies, but when you go outside the wind is nearly taking a layer of skin off it's so cold!

Happy Easter to everyone and enjoy the bank holiday

justbeme · 21/03/2008 17:56

Hiya all!
Hope your'e all well?
Im at my parents house in North Devon - still no computer at home - so whats the goss?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 21/03/2008 18:26

Evening. Back early from my parents as snow forecast for tomorrow so decided to travel today before it came. Was lovely to see them, and they LOVED spending time woth the Jamlet (well, who wouldn't?) Off to catch up (with what I've missed here and with DH who only got back an hour or so before us) but may be back later.

HOLLY - thanks for the seat, it was fab! She needed near continuous watching in it, but it did the trick of letting her sit up to eat her dinner nicely at the dining table My parents were VERY impressed with her eating skills.

lackaDAISYcal · 21/03/2008 20:28

hi jbm...you've obviously gone again

we've been missing you. Can't think of any gossip off hand!

glad you had a good time jammy.

We've been chilling round the house today as it was too cold to go out. Got a fair old bit of housework done as well which was good.

DHs mate has come over this evening so I need to go and be sociable.

Have a good weekend everyone.

justplainoldRia · 21/03/2008 20:53

Hi JBM - missed you!
Missed you too jamyy. (it will be terrible when you all go and and get proper lives, I'll have to go and keep daisy company)Glad you had a good time with your parents.

I'm not going to sit here posting to myself tonight, I'm off to get all the kids to bed, have avery hot bath to get warm and chill out with DH and a glass or two of my birthday wine (can you believe it's been in the fridge since Wednesday with only 1 glass gone) as surprisingly I aren't stressed or pissed off (yet) tonight.

Back tomorrow.

Rx

Izzybel · 22/03/2008 17:30

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having a nice Easter
We took DD to Chester Zoo today and it was fecking freezing! Woke up this morning with beautiful sunshine streaming through the window, so thought we'd go show her the animals, but by the time we got there it was grey and so windy! Luckily we left before it peed it down and went for a pub lunch.
DD got some nice easter presents off her grandparents. She got some bath toys from my mum, an outfit from DP's mum and dad and her first swimmming costume from my sister as we go swimming quite often.
We got her passport picture taken today, which was a bit of a faff, as she needed to be in the picture on her own but I still needed to hold her in the photo booth it turned out ok though!
Right off to catch up and see what you're all up to!

justplainoldRia · 22/03/2008 18:16

sorry your outing was cold izzy.

I have painted 3 walls in DS1s room and because he chose a darker pale blue than the one I wanted it looks more like a nursery than it did before.

We have narrowly avoided a family outing to A&E. DS1&2 had a collision on the stairs which resulted in DS2 falling halfway down them, then later on DS2 went in DS1s wardrobe and a game fell out and landed on his foot, lots of blood and screaming and we thought it was a broken toe, but the suggestion of hospital made the screaming worse so we have left it for now. THEN, during the screaming, DS3 woke up and fell out of bed, landing on his head. They are all ok now.

Just waiting for friends to arrive for the evening.

AND, I've finally dyed my hair.

trace2 · 22/03/2008 19:31
