Pesha · 06/03/2008 18:43

Hope you manage to make it out IDOC and have a good time, or as good as you can manage!

Dippy - get those girls in bed quick sharp and get yourself a nice glass of wine/cup of hot chocolate/bowl of ice cream/rampant rabbit and sit down with your feet up and chat to us!

(Although if you're going for the rabbit option maybe finish with that before you chat to us! )

Well...I got the job!!!!!!!

She has said she's happy to wait for me to sort out childcare before I start. She wants to be there for my first day so said if I cant start w/c 17th it'll have to be in April sometime as she is gonna be off around easter. My CM friend has recommended another CM who has a vacancy and is going to get me her number but doesnt know whereabouts she lives. I need it to be somewhere between school or home and work really so I can walk and dont end up paying for an extra hours childcare each day just to walk half way across town and back and I dont want to have to drive every day.

OMG there is so much to think about though!

Eddas · 06/03/2008 19:05

yay well done pesha

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 19:09

Wow Pesha! Well done! Knew you could do it!

NL - I see you are your usual hilarious self, so things can't be too bad at your end!

Dippy, you ok now?

IDOC - hope you feel well enough to go out later

Molly is 11 months today! (and I only just realised )

and dh's day off tomorrow has been postponed until Saturday am as we can have a nice day together, but as I will now have to take all the lo's to ds1's parents evening.

DirtyNosePicker · 06/03/2008 19:10

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2008 19:15

Congratulations Pesha!!! Well Done you! that was a quick response!

I'd love to have a glass of wine and chat, but no wine in the house and my BF is staying over tonight with her littlest ones - so I am turning the computer off now (she's sleeping in here with the computer and it make soooo much noise!!)

Oooggs that reminds me, N still hasnt had his pre-school booster Think I may need to ring up. And D hasnt had any sort of 8 month check. They're all bloody hopeless!! Someone please remind next week I need to phone up various hcps and chase things up!

We've also not heard anything about a parent's evening, I'd really like to talk to both their teachers about how they're getting on.

Dippy - hope you and your friend have a nice night, MN free!

SOL - hope B isn't coming down with anything nasty

Hi Dooby Followed a link the other day to Cod's 'cleaner' thread from years ago and saw you on it! Hadn't realised you'd been around so long!!!

Hi everyone
getting ready to do interviews tomorrow - more stressed that mum is coming to look after T!
Hope everyone has good nights!

DirtyNosePicker · 06/03/2008 21:54

Pesha, I got my ABM stuff through today so hopefully will get round to sending that email about the Mothers support thing tomorrow. Are you still planning on doing it?

DloeufyDoo · 06/03/2008 22:09

Goodnight all.Sleep well.x

Pesha · 06/03/2008 22:42

I'd like to but think it'd be taking on a bit too much atm!

Starting to worry more about practicalities of things, and how actually nearly all the time I'll get to spend with D will be spent going up and down to school, cooking tea and organising big kids and maybe the odd bit of housework But then on plus side I'll have more money (and inclination probably!) for making the most of our weekends. Not sure I'm really ready to leave D but needs must and all that!

Sorry - I'm alternating lots atm between positive and not so much, you've caught me on the not so much!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 23:39

Evening all
fab news on the job Pesha, it'll be fine (and just think how much more drink you can buy with the extra money .... that's a vomit face btw, not envy!)

well, yours truly will be quoted in a newspaper soon
I spoke to a lady today about Mumsnet and how great it is (you lot in particular of course!) for an article she's writing.

I'm feeling better now, and J seems much better, not been sick since yesterday and just very sleepy today.

IDOC - I lurve iplayer, it's great for catching up on the programmes I've missed because I ended up on here chatting to you lot (and to think, I told the woman today I'm not addicted to MN )

Mum is up from Swindon tomorrow, she's at gran's for the day. not because she wants to see her grandchildren, no, just that her husband had to come this way for work so she's coming with him . I have been rail-roaded into taking the boys there to see her in the morning so have had to take some time off work to do it, going in at 10.30 instead. (I think my boss is fab yet again, I had forgotten about tomorrow and text him tonight to ask, he said of course, we'll see you then!). There are very good reasons I rarely visit Swindon so think of me ladies please

Also, you know I'm not really one for prayer, but I know some of you ladies are, and I know you can be marvels at times, so I'd be really grateful if you could pray for M's uncle Ian, (he is married to M's dad's sister), he has just had an op to remove tumours from his lymph nodes to see if they are cancerous. I'm not supposed to know but M's dad told him Uncle was in hospital so I made him tell me why because if it's gonna effect M I need to be aware of it. They have a dd who is 3 at the beginning of May. I am really hoping he gets the all clear, even when most of M's dad's family were hating me, he was always nice to me and is a really lovely man

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 23:43

ooh, and I forget to say, took J to HV clinic on Tues, he's going up the lines again . As he'd not had solids since Sunday that's a real improvement.

my HV from when I had M was there, she's changed areas and I hadn't seen her since M's 1 yr review (Pesha - the pre-school thing can be up to age 5 and our check is at 12mths here not 8, so I wouldn't worry just yet!). She was the reason I gave up bf with M so early, she encouraged me to mix feed from before 6 weeks and I made it to about 10 weeks, but it would appear she has educated herself, as she has asked me to be a bf supporter! Have said I'll think about it, my usual HV is bringing the info round

Pesha · 07/03/2008 09:37

WTF is going on?!?! Where is everyone

Bramshott · 07/03/2008 09:45

Don't say I am the first one on this morning - that has NEVER happened to me before!

Pesha - congrats on the job! And good luck with sorting out childcare.

Ellie - you are sounding much perkier, which is great!

IDOC - sorry to hear that both you and S are poorly

Eddas - pmsl at your DD's highchair / make-up comment! That's the sort of thing N would say! She's very fond of saying "these are my tablet babies" (meaning triplet babies).

Dippy - hope you had a good evening, and are feeling a bit less stressed today. Your DH is away isn't he? If so, no wonder you're feeling stressed!

I had to go to London for work yesterday, which I wasn't looking forward to, but was actually okay when I got there - quite nice to sit and read a book on the train, and then met up with a very old friend for lunch after my meeting. Financially disastrous though as I needed a whole day of childcare for a 2 hour meeting.

Fingers crossed that I will get an interview for the job I've applied for - the closing date is today. The interviews are Wednesday though and I've told them I can't do Wednesday due to a longstanding committment (it's when we're off to Thomasland!!) so I hope that if they want to see me they can arrange it on an alternative date. Don't know how much that will count against me, but I'm not missing out on Thomasland to go for an interview for a job I might not get!

N is adamant that O will be having a birthday party (less than 3 weeks time - argggghhh!). As her birthday is a Thursday, and N has half day on a Thursday until the end of this term, I'll probably invite some of O's little NCT friends over for tea.

Right, off to Baby Rhymetime at the library this morning, and to stop O eating the log basket which she is currently doing!
