Octothechildherder · 06/03/2008 10:43

Did you get the NCT job?

Are you seriously telling me you have organised a party for May already??? (((scurries off to think about ds2 5th party)))

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 10:45

SOL - I am ok with the result thanks. I didn't exactly relish the idea of 6 children, and 3 under 3's funnily enough

Pesha - Good Luck for the interview, and pmsl at sol's and spb's advice!

Ellie - hope normality returns to your house soon, if there is such a thing No seriously, i really do hope you are all feeling better soon.

NL - sounds like you are having a bit of a rough time {{hugs}}

Eddas - ing at your dd - she sounds so funny, bless her!

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 10:50

Hi Octo and Dippy and IDOC - I missed you lot out some how.

Molly is the 6th (she came at 9am ish I didn't look at the time ) on her due date. I think we will have a little party for her. Just family and my bf. But saying that, it will then be 10 children and 4 extra adults minimum!

Dippy - You do seem to have rather a lot on your plate!

IDOC - hope you and yours are better soon x

Eddas · 06/03/2008 10:55

here's the list of births

I have planned ds' bday. Having some children over on the saturday, just my friends with children and a couple of mums from preschool with babies ds' age and an older dc for dd to play with Then we'll get family to come round on the sunday, his actual bday. Not long now[scary]

Have also booked dd's birthday in June but only because I am not having 15+ 3/4 year olds in my house so needed to book a hall

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2008 11:05

Yes I got the NCT job Octo - beginning to regret it a little bit atm tbh ....

Yes, DD2's 3rd Birthday is May 20th and we're having a "bring your own" picnic thing at my friend's community cntre nearby. We've hired a mobile farmyard - should be fun!!

Idreamofchocolate · 06/03/2008 11:12

Ooooo Dippy, mobile farmyard sounds good! Sorry things are very hard at the moment, tis very hard work having to deal with a job, DCs, house, DHs being away etc etc. Don't be to hard on yourself, and don't feel bad for not being superwoman and managing everything. There are simply not enough hours in the day and you are doing enough by raising your lovely little DDs.

Do you really have to go and see you mum? Why let yourself in for more stress?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 11:18

Dippy - are you coming to Elveden Centre Parcs? If you are, could we meet you there for a day perhaps?

No party for J here, figure my mind will be on other things. We do the Alzheimers memory walk here most years, and that's on his birthday, so I have suggested to Gran that we have a birthday picnic while we're there.

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 11:21

That's a lovely idea potc. I take it you haven't heard any more about that bloody court date? And nothing from SS?

Dippy - sorry, but what exactly is a mobile farmyard? My ds2's birthday is on the 18th, so near your DD's. He will be 7 this year!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 11:46

I just have to wait now, and do what I can to show I'm trying. I am awaiting a visit from the Family Centre (not quite SS but sort of) next Wednesday at 2, he's gonna talk through everything and help me put a case together.

I have spoken to my boss and I'm going to increase my hours for a while, if I work some extra afternoons I am not using any extra fuel for travel, and at only £18.50 extra to send the boys for the afternoon as well as the morning they do already, and the tax credits bonus for working 30+ hours, I will be earning a fair bit extra (I earn over £10 per hour). Hopefully this will make it look like I'm trying, and give me some extra money, at least until M starts school when I will probably go back to doing just mornings.

I am so lucky to have a very understanding boss!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 11:47

oh, and my very lovely Godmother is sending me a cheque, housing have said a contribution of 25% of my arrears would put them in a "good mood" when we go to court . arseholes!

cazboldy · 06/03/2008 11:53

aren't they just!

Your boss does seem very understanding, but fgs someone needs to be!

sorry about sunday. My Mum is in Austrailia atm, and I am pretty tied up giving my Dad a hand for a few weeks. But I will meet up with you one day......

Pesha · 06/03/2008 12:04

Have read but no time to do personals, will come back later.

SOL - if I picture them on the loo naked I wll be sat there with a smirk on my face the whole time, in fact I may end up doing that anywya now I've thought about it!!

HAve got my bloody period. First time in 19 f'ing months and it comes 1 hour before a f'ing job interview It HURTS!!!

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2008 12:40

How did it go pesha? (since I doubt you'll read this until after!)

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 06/03/2008 12:45

Much sickness going on.

Poor babies, and mummies having to clear it all up - eughhhhh!

Pesha, sorry about af! Bloody typical (sorry about the pun!)

Hi Caz, POTC, IDOC, SPB and Eddas.

Eddas, your dd is v amusing indeed.

POTC, your boss sounds fabulous.

All ok here. Just dropping in whilst at work. Better drop out and get on with it.

Laters....

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2008 13:23

Hope interview goes ok Pesha - Period are complete shit, aren't they!!?

Yes I am going to Elveden Forest Center Parcs, POTC - would LOVE to meet-up one of the days!

Thanks for the reassurence, IDOC - I know I am not superwoman, but I just feel so stressed and panic-y ....

Pesha · 06/03/2008 13:41

I'm back!!

Have now forgotten alot of what I read before though so sorry for missing so many people out.

Dippy - I'm so sorry you seem to be having such a tough time of things atm I do hope your lovely girls pick up soon and are back to driving you mad in a less yucky kind of way!!

And hope all the poorly babies get well soon.

POTC - sounds like things are looking a little bit more positive for you now. Glad you have such a fab boss

Thanks for all good luck wishes with interview It actually went quite well, not well in a 'I'm sure I got the job' way, more a 'I didnt say anything stupid or waffle too much' kinda way!! WOman seemed quite positive and several times commented on the positive points of what I said and how well it would relate to the job which is obviously a very good sign. The boss man seemed impressed that I'd researched the company a little bit! But I got the impression I was the first person they'd interviewed so far or at leats one of the first and they have a few more people to see so me coming across well doesnt mean much as someone even better might still turn up. But she said they would ring everyone later this afternoon to say if I've got it or not so at least I dont have to wait long!!

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2008 13:48

glad it went well and you don't have to wait too long

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 06/03/2008 13:48

Excellent Pesha. Here's hoping!!!!

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 14:09

Good work Pesha!

Dippy - you have such a lot on - I am ignoring the housework - I do the dishwasher and I hoovered a bit yesterday but otherwise that's it!

Righth - well dd2 has just had a bit of lunch so we'll see how that goes. B is pretty grumpy but I've just hidden her antibiotics in some fruit puree so got at least one lot into her without a fight! B and I also had a good nap this morning so I think the chances of me expiring from sheer exhaustion are much reduced I've had a letter from work with my annual leave calculations in - Monday 28th April sees me back at work - the question is though as what? Currently waiting on the results of an interview for a higher band post - but it would have to be full time - and I don't know if I can do it. There may be another higher grade post come for less hours - but that hasn't even been advertised yet. Or it's back to my old job - in some ways that would be easiest - but it feels like a step backwards - and would have to be for four days a week. I don't know what to do! I don't even know what my options really are - what with jobs I may not be offered and jobs that have not been advertised. Bit stressed tbh.

Pesha · 06/03/2008 14:09

Thank you

Dylan has made everything big by pressing something on the bottom left of the keypad - how do I get it back to normal????

You're all huge!!!

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 14:12

switch it off and on again?

hit it with a hammer aka percussive maintainence

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 14:12

Meant to say - IDOC - oh dear you have joined the poorly crowd - it's so grim isn't it!

Pesha · 06/03/2008 14:15

Its ok, yahoo mail told me how when I tried to log in!! Being a bit dopey really cos I knew what to do having had to fix it before when Nathan changed everything! Although its not quite how it was but I think its now actually how it should have been!!

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 14:20

Right - I think I follow you - so before your son made it wrong it wasn't in fact right but it was as right as you knew it how to be but now as you operated with it in a state of wrongness it has informed you how you can make it right as it should have been before you made it wrong and then more so.

That's it isn't it

Pesha · 06/03/2008 14:37

Not quite nl - Before my first son made it wrong it was in fact right but then he made it wrong and I returned it to what I thought was right then when my 2nd son made it wrong it transpired it wasn't in fact right but it was as right as I knew it how to be but now as I operated with it in a state of wrongness it has informed me how I can make it right as it should have been before I made it wrong and then more so.

Thats right.
