Evening!

Pesha · 05/03/2008 22:45

Hi Dippy

Bye Dippy!

Night SPB

Off to bed now to worry think about interview tomorrow! Have read up a bit about the company and as much as I can find about the job, now have to go and think what I can say about myself I'm not feeling particularly confident that I can get the job but am trying to look at it as good practise!

elkiedee · 05/03/2008 23:09

Hi to anyone around, and goodnight SPB and Pesha - good luck Pesha.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 05:41

morning all
still a sicky house here
I haven't been sick since the other night, but then I've not really eaten anything either! J is still being sick and off Nursery, gran had him yesterday and Sofa Man (who is called Simon btw!) is having him today I hope, if he's awake when I get there to drop J off!

I intended to come on last night, put boys to bed at 7, switched on computer, sat down on sofa. Fell asleep. Woke up to feed J at 10. Sat back down. Fell asleep. Woke up at 5 to feed J ah well!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/03/2008 05:42

hope interview goes well Pesha

Maveta · 06/03/2008 07:34

Sexonlegs · 06/03/2008 08:01

Morning all.

POTC, hope you are all better soon. Not fun.

Pesha, good luck for today. Knock 'em dead!
Don' feel scared by them - just imagine them naked and on the loo!! Always helps!!

Off to work shortly, so see you later on lovely ladies. x

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2008 08:11

Good luck Pesha, imagine you're selling someone else - you wouldn't be so unsure of yourself then (although obviously don't talk in the third person, and if you do accidentally, don't call yourself PESHA)
Morning everyone else.

Good Luck Pesha

Sympathy POTC - I am battling with something the same here. Dd2 was sick at 4.20am and 5.40am. B woke up when dd1 came into my room to tell me, just got her settled and us both back to sleep when she was back and then both dd1 and dd2 came to wake me up at 6.30 thinking that was when I wanted to get up (why?) So I'm knackered - a combination of illness and antibiotics is playing havoc with poor B and so we are having many leaky nappies - had one of those at 4.30 as well. I have to wrestle the antibiotics into her and to be honest I've had enough! No relief in sighht - rang dh for some sympathy - guess what he said?

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 08:12

Go on guess!

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 08:13

Right - I'll know you're all on the edge of your seats - he said 'oh I've had a bad night too. I feel all coldy-fluey' I somewhat testily enquired if he'd had to scrape vomit from the carpet!

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2008 08:18

ooh NL Glad you still have your sense of humour though! How long left on the antibiotics?
My DH is the same, on the nights where I feel like I've been up for hours trying to put T back into his cot he'll say how exhausted he is because he was woken up twice
Not sure if last night was a good one or a bad one - T woke at 12, quick feed, back down. Woke at 5, I brought him into our bed for the last hour or so. Fell asleep for hours, looked at the clock, this time it really was 5!! So I didn't sleep very well, never do when all 3 of us are crammed onto a tiny futon and the smallest one takes up about half of the space! He seemed to sleep well though, don't think he woke again until after 7.

haven't read thread yet as I was reading through I had a conversation with dd that made me PMSL, the minds of 3 year olds

DD:I've got 3 children
MEh right, what are there names
DD:this baby is called florrie. She sleeps in her highchair
ME:her highchair?
DD:Yes, because I've got my make up in her cot
talk about priorities

She also has a little girl called Chelsea and a boy called yester

StealthPolarBear · 06/03/2008 08:36

right have caught up (I think) Pesha, good luck with the interview. No CM/nursery advice as am lucky my SIL has dc. Will need something sorted for ds though when dd starts school in sept/jan as sil can't do those times(well don't think she can. Will ask her first)

Hope all the ill mummies and babies get better soon

Not much to report here. Had committee meeting on tues night and bingo last night which is why I've been awol I have a rest tonight then my sister is making an appearance tomorrow night She staying overnight so will be here saturday which is good as dh is working then going off to watch a Charlton match with his brother and nephews. So all in all pretty glad sis will be here to keep the boredom at bay, or should I say listen to dd waffling on and on and on

Eddas · 06/03/2008 08:43

i'm sure once she works out how to write/type(in a few months knowing her) she'll be on here

She just makes me laugh the things she says. SO CUTE

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 09:43

Eddas - she's obviously her mother's daughter!

Dh has redeemed himself somewhat by ringing to see how we are. Walked dd1 most of the way to school - let her do the last bit as dd2 was feeling shaky. Then had a paranoid attack and rang school to check she'd registered

Poor dd2 has a sore throat as well so we got a raspberry smoothie lolly on the way home and that has cheered her up a bit. My plan is for B to play for a bit then see if we can both get a nap.

SPB - can I ask why you were all on a futon? Do you not have a conventional bed? Or am I being stupid?

weeonion · 06/03/2008 10:19

hi there - so i can find you later!

Octothechildherder · 06/03/2008 10:27

Hello again - becoming a regular occurence again

I had a nightmare trying to sort out childcare to supply work as the days aren't set and may not work for weeks on end - in the end a friend said I could share her nanny and it is working out great. There is loads fo work at the moment but in the summer when the GCSE lot leave then there will be less as the teachers without those classes will be used to cover. Not too bothered by this as looking forward to taking him out (aka getting a tan!!! )

Has anyone thought about birthday parties yet? Who is first?? I am just going to invite round ernie's little friends for a birthday lunch and play some games/songs. Then have a another one with the boys when they get home from school... and another when dh gets home from work and then collapse in chair with champagne

Good luck with interview Pesha

Idreamofchocolate · 06/03/2008 10:37

Hello again too! Have had a nightmare week and a half with S suffering from an on-going V&D bug. In fact I should say D & V as she started off pooing for Britain, and then moved onto throwing up. A lot. For days. Poor wee soul has been very poorly and is still only managing to eat tiny amounts and is not her usual happy little self. So hugs and sympathies to all those with sicky bubs too. So, I had pretty much all last week off work looking after S, got called home on Monday as she only managed the morning at nursery before vomiting violently everywhere, stayed all day yesterday, and guess what?? I'm off sick today. Still, it gives me some MN time, so it's not all bad.

Octo - the nanny share sounds great, what a fab idea! When is E's birthday?

In fact which baby is 1 first?

Pesha - good luck for the interview. Haven't read the last thread so don't know what it's for , but hope it goes fabulously and they see how wonderful you are!

Octothechildherder · 06/03/2008 10:41

Ernie is 16th - we need a link to the list please!

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2008 10:41

I think WCL's Leo is 1st Octo (could be wrong ) .... she was talking about organising his party the other day.

We are running away for P's Birthday - going to Center Parcs - we've done DD1's birthday Party and we've organised DD2's Party for May - so I think that is quite enough for one year

I am feeling a bit all over the place. I am desperately trying to get my head round & wade through all this stuff for this new job and the house needs a lick and a promise and the girls are driving me insane and I am tired and feeling ill and the girls have been and continue to be ill and I am going to my mum's next week and now beginning to have 2nd thoughts about going .......

Argh! Think my head is going to explode!!!

Sorry about that!

Sorry your DD2 and little B are poorly sick NL Not nice with DH away Hope today is ok enough and you get some rest. xx

Hoep you feel better soon too POTC. xx

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2008 10:42

Not you as well IDOC Poor little S! xx
