ah I see what you mean

I never go out so less of a concern for me

Am off home now! byeeeeeeeeeeeee

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 15:54

Jamlet just had half of one of these. She polished it off double quick and gave me a huge gummy grin Obviously very popular with little babies.

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 16:00

We're having ... STEAK

Been to the supermarket and bought loads of meat. Dropped in to see my sis too which was nice. Am gutted cos I'm going to have to change my "vision" for DS1s new bedroom cos I can't get the duvet I wanted.

Glad you're going to visit your parents jammy

Ironing beckons (again).

Hi to everyone.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 16:10

And is DH having ... ?

(You don't have to answer that!)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 16:11
Wink
lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 16:19

jammy, you need some of these they really do work!

DD has some pairs of shoo shoos and daisy roots, those little cute leather things. they are the only shoes that stay on her feet.

Fury, if you believe Clark's they need crawling shoes (wtf??) and soft first walkers

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 14/03/2008 16:27

Ds has some cruisers from Clarks ! They were only £9 in the sale and they stay on his feet!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 16:44

Oooh, the jamlet was so very close to wriggling forwards just then!

Sputnik · 14/03/2008 16:49

Mine only goes in reverse too Jammy

Sputnik · 14/03/2008 16:53

You are all going to hate me, I was outside earlier in my vest and a skirt with bare legs. Not bad considering exactly 1 week ago it was practically snowing here.

foxythesnowman · 14/03/2008 17:15

No no NO shoes! Blardy Clarks marketing department. LO does have some tiny weenie red shoes with a ribbon on from Mothercare, but purely ornamental. I got drawn into that, DS1 had some shoes. Never wore them, didn't keep them on.

DP keeping me up? Pah! He'd have to be here.

(I am getting a bit worn down by single-parenting now!!!)

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 14/03/2008 17:19

It's been raining here all week and we have been on full on flood alert! The river is literally opposite us and has been threatening to flood all week.

hats off to you and daisy with your absent other halves. I just phoned mine up and cried at him!

Hello
I've been child free today! DD has been at DP's mum's, while I have been at the College of Knowledge getting edumacated. She's still there actually but DP was supposed to bring her back ages ago, but he's been stuck at work, so I have a had quite a peaceful afternoon. I'm missing her loads, though and keep thinking that she's upstairs asleep. I keep meaning to go upstairs and check her then realise that she's not here!
I'm also very of your meet up. Richmond park and ice cream sounds so lovely. Never been to Richmond Park, but it sounds good . I don't think I'd be able to get to London.
We're supposed to be going out for dinner tonight but if DP doesn't get his skates on we'll never get there!

Izzybel · 14/03/2008 17:52

sputnik! Warm enough to wear just a vest!

FairyFay · 14/03/2008 18:12

sputnik, definitely NOT [envy} foxy, that must really be getting you down.

Holly, I cried down the phone at Dh today as well - too little sleep with DS being poorly I think. I had thought he was better but we've had 3 clothing changes and some serious cleaning of sofas and rugs today so I guess not - it's mostly his bum now though so at least my clothes generally stay un-vomitted on.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 18:16

Sputnik
Fairy and Foxy

OK, Mothercare say that this is suitable from 12 months. Why 12 months? Why is it not deemed as suitable for a 9 month old? If I got would for the jamlet would I be being a very foolhardy mummy who deserves to have her DD involved in some terrible falling out of the cahir incident?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 18:17

If only I could type!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 14/03/2008 18:28

Jammy, I have that exact seat thingy. You can have it if you want. I got sent it free with a pushchair I bought and will never use it. I was going to put it in the NCT sale tomorrow, but if you want it it's yours!

{{{hugs}}} fairy, hope you and ds are ok.

Hope you have a lovely dinner tonight izzy and I'm of your child free day!

MHC, the deer centre sounds good, you go to the coolest places! I wish you were my RL friend!!

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 18:29

Izzy, we could do a mini Northern Meet-up. DKMA is in your neck of the woods, I'm in Leeds, and Ria is in N Yorks. any more for any more....sign up here!

I'm ignoring the kids now. I'm having a very very hard time of things today and i know it's just hormones/not being on my ADs anymore, but I yelled at DD to shut up earlier and that she was a stupid baby . Not my finest parenting hour

and DH only went away yesterday afternoon and will be back tonight. If he doesn't get this job in Bradford I'm farking leaving him. single parenting would be better than this, at least I'd get used to it and he could have the kids on the weekend and give me a fricking break

sorry for the moan

am off before I bring everybody down.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 14/03/2008 18:33

Oh daisy, you are not a bad mummy! I always shout at ds, well not always, but quite often. He is always so bad and he wears me out to the point where I get to the end of my tether and shout at him.

I really hope your dh gets this job. Fingers crossed.

andiem · 14/03/2008 18:39

aah daisy you are defintely not a bad mother you are a tired newly pregnant one
I have packaged up your clothes and will post them tomorrow have put some pjs in that I had as well and some trousers

deer centre does sound good we have just got back from ds1 swimming must get lo ready for bed and get the washing on

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 18:55

Hugs Daisy. Don't be hard on yourself. We all have our limits and snap a little sometimes. You're doing a grand job of a very difficult job. And fingers crossed for DH's job.

Holly - if you're sure that would be fab You are a star!!!! What would you like for it? And can I ask if you'd be able to send it to my parents? I was after one for taking to use at theirs, as I don't like to ask my Dad at the moment to go hunting in the loft to get my old highchair out (yes they still have it up there somewhere).

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 14/03/2008 19:01

Don't worry about it jammy, it's yours for nothing! It didn't cost me anything, so I'm just passing on the goodwill! Let me know where to send it and I'll do it tomorrow.

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 14/03/2008 19:35

evening all, sorry for those of you have shit days. sending virtual calming lavender choccie and wine.

jammy, glad you are getting to see your parents still.

daisy i'm pretty horrid to dd sometimes. don't worry you are only human and they really do test your patience.
