Well I have just spoken to my dad and we are going to them instead He sounded so pleased. Will mean no MN for me as my parents haven't embraced the internet yet, but will be great to see my family.

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 11:53

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 12:15

Not too often Fury. Last saw my parents mid-december, and it was november when I saw my sister and her family.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/03/2008 12:41

Sorry Jammy - never have time to catch up on the news- has your dad been ill?

DD going great Daisy but sadly the mohawk has gone. She's blond now too.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 12:50

Yes, he's been getting dizzy spells and heart palpitations for a week now. Him & my mum were meant to be visiting next week, but he doesn't want to drive, so we are going to them instead.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/03/2008 12:57

Not so good Jammy but I'm sure your visit will cheer him up.

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 13:23

god help me I am so bored at work today

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 13:36

lol andiem; i will do just that

what is it about DD that has her trying to pull herself up on inappropriate things. She has pulled over a small folding table (thankfully I'd moved the 500g jar of doublebase), has twice nearly toppled the ironing table and is now trying to lever herself up on a wire clothes horse.

We're off out into the sunny afternoon for a bit.

Later xx

I am stopping off at mothercare on the way home. DS over the last week has developed a fascination for the chemical cupboard. Time for stairgates and safety stuff!

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 13:59

sooo.... what's on the menu for tonight all?

I am going to make a haddock and asparagus risotto.

foxythesnowman · 14/03/2008 14:17

Hello all.

Lovely to 'see' you again MHC. You have been missed!!

Am sure you'll be fine with that oil Daisy

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 14:19

Hi foxy
how are you?

foxythesnowman · 14/03/2008 14:26

I'm alright thanks How are you? Good to hear DS is on the mend.

Is that smoked haddock? mmmm...

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 14:29

You know I am not sure... I don't think so. If it is smoked it's undyed. But I don't mind, I lurve fish.
and it's lush in risotto.

DS is still refusing food a bit but is almost better, thankfully!

foxythesnowman · 14/03/2008 14:33

So you're definately not PG then?

God, I am fucking fucked. Absolutely pointless me going to bed last night.

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 14:36

I don't think I am PG.
If work give me a permy job I will be very quickly though!

Why shouldn't you have gone to bed?

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 14:46

I'm sure it's fine foxy.....and it's my dozy fault for not reading the label first

oooh, risotto sounds lush. I have some salmon in the freezer so might make some risotto of some form myself.

wassup foxy? LOs keeping you up all night, or DP?

and I forgot to mention it before but DS, at the age of 5 years and 324 days, has just had three, yes three dry nights in a row

I was beginning to despair and think he would be in pj pants for ever!

right school run, and then I'm settling in for the David Cameron Live webchat. From the questions posted already, it looks like he'll have his work cut out!

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 15:01

and farking hell, we are nearly in need of a new thread already ....

...but remember the days when we had a new one every other day

Afternoon...does anyone need any mobile phone bits and bobs? I've just sorted out a big box of cables and I have loads of chargers, headsets, car chargers etc. Please take them off me, I don't want to bin them!

Daisy, well done to your ds! We should have a dry at night party, my dd is now a nappy free kid too. I am a bit about it though. She is a big girl now!

Your nappy biz sounds fab btw, I'm very excited for you. If you need any testers I'm always willing !!

Jammy, I missed that about your dad too. Hope he is ok and hope you enjoy your visit.

Fury, glad you have your Bug money, what are you gonna spend it on? Glad ds is a bit better too.

Foxy, was it dp snoring that kept you up? Mine has been banished to the sofa for a few nights to let me catch up!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 15:26

Yay! for dry nights

Just back from town (rang hospital and they said the eye infection might stop them doiong the tests so it's been rescheduled rather than risk us doing a long journey for nothing). Had a bit of a splurge on shoes & trousers for the jamlet. Was disappointed that the only trousers (rather than shorts) in her age range were pink, so ended up getting her first pair of jeans. Still not sure about them, but she needs trousers and I was determined not to buy a pastel pink pair. And 3 pairs of shoes as I couldn't decide which ones to get. Thankfully she's still in little soft things that don't cost a fortune!

HellHathNoFury · 14/03/2008 15:44

Should DS be wearing shoes?!
Do I need a bad mother alert?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2008 15:49

Dunno Fury. Today the jamlet has just had socks on but if we go out like that I do feel like a bad mother. Also if a sock falls off it leaves her foot bare and I feel really bad. So I got some shoes to try to hold the socks on and at worst mean 2 things need to fall off before foot is left bare.
