Done working for tonight Wasn't all that sucessful as had IT problems but will try again tomorrow.

Fairy, sorry to hear about another sick baby. Sounds like you've born the brunt of it today. Hope you all get a restful night (such a cure all, sleep) and things improve tomorrow.

FairyFay · 12/03/2008 21:24

Long gone are the days when i washed, dried and straightened my hair every morning - but that's probably a good thing as it was a serious waste of time and effort. I too am now impressed if I manage to brush my hair and leave the house in a top which is not accessorised with baby dribble, milk or DD's breakfast

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/03/2008 21:25

I am also very lucky if I get out to a group (or even work tbh) with more than my hair brushed and occasionally a slick of lip balm. Occasionally if the jamlet is particularly chilled I might get to retreat to the bathroom long enough to apply a smudge of eyeshadow and a dab of mascara, but not often.

FairyFay · 12/03/2008 21:25

Rhanks Jammy, on which note I shall take your advice and bugger off to bed . I hope everyone has good nights

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/03/2008 21:27

Fairy - good job I was waiting in for deliverys this morning so didn't go to baby group, as about 11 o'clock I found a big patch of dried on mushed up banana on my skirt all down the side of my thigh.

Sputnik · 12/03/2008 21:28

Don't know how you can work in the evenings Jammy, I never could (or if I tried everything took 3 times longer than it should).

Totally loving your new name

Izzybel · 12/03/2008 21:30

Lol. When I went to visit my mum in hospital the other week, she turned to me and asked me what the white was down the back of my coat. When I checked it was baby sick. How embarrassing!

Riallymusttryharder · 12/03/2008 22:20

I would rather have sleep than look presentable. If I can't get by by tying my hair back and wearing a baggy fleece I don't go

It took two hours to get DS2 to sleep (even when he's not poorly that is fairly normal a couple of times a week anyway), just as he was dropping off DS1 charged in to the room to ask - I can't remember what - and woke him up again. Then DS1 talks to himself all the time he's in the bath. That is why I was so smug last night that I got them all to bed single-handedly before 9pm! Bit pathetic really but sometimes it's really hard.

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 13/03/2008 07:45

Morning, no night waking for us today thank god, but she did sleep in our room and was up at 6.30.

Daisy hope the scan goes ok.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2008 07:53

Hi Bumper, Hi All

One night waking her (3am) and then up at 6am. I have resigned myself to the fact that she's an early bird - just like I used to be!

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 08:10

Ria - Re your DSD - do you mean BHSAI?
If so there are lots of places that do it. I used to be a riding instructor (amongst other things) in my past life.

Let me know where she is/where she'd like to work, if she'd like to board at the yard or commute, and I'll find some good places.

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 08:24

Otherwise here is the best place to start looking. The BHS is the governing body of horsey qualifications and training. They'll point her in the right direction.

Morning all!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2008 08:59

Morning Fury!

OK hands up anyone who has given their LOs eye drops? I've just picked up a prescription for some for the jamlet. Any hints before I have a go and make a right arse of it by myself?

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 09:10

Jammy - yep.

No hints or tips. DS hated them, we laid him on the floor, wedged his head between our legs and went for it. Easier with 2 people though, then someone can distract!

The first ones are easy, it's when they learn what you are doing that it becomes difficult!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2008 09:13

Thanks Fury

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 09:15

What's up with DD then?

Sputnik · 13/03/2008 09:16

Just go for it and hope for the best Jammy!

Bit of a rough night. First DD woke then the baby, and it took over an hour to get him back off. Then it happened again. Then DD came in at 6. She's all coldy and feverish, so it's another week another cold in casa Sputnik. Sigh.

I'm quite philosophical about it though, as last year it was much worse - me and DH caught everything too, this year we seem to be getting away with it.

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 09:18

Sputniks poor DC's

We are all going through it hey?

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 09:22

I am at home...again.
DS is asleep in bed. Poor little mite is still rough, still pooing for england, but seems well otherwise.

FairyFay · 13/03/2008 10:09

Poor little Sputniks and baby Fury and the Jamlet . So far DS' milk and breadtsicks have stayed down which is a relief. He has started toxic poos though so we're probably not safe yet. On a brighter note, I think..... he took his first couple of steps while we were away. He let go of the sofa and did two steps to reach my leg.

FairyFay · 13/03/2008 10:12

Me and my big mouth, he's just vommed on the sofa

HellHathNoFury · 13/03/2008 10:14

me and my big mouth too - DS has slept all morning, is refusing to eat or drink anything and is much worse than he was. Am getting concerned.

FairyFay · 13/03/2008 10:19

Oh dear, he doesn't sound a well bunny at all. Can you take him back to the gp today?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2008 10:22

Poor Fury, Fairy & Sputnik familys!
The jamlet just has gummy eyes. One eye has always been a bit watery but has recently been all gummy and getting worse, then this morning the other was almost closed over with goo. Not conjunctivitis, just an infection in the tear ducts or whatever. Fury was right - first eye was easy peasy lemon sqeezy, 2nd eye was a right bugger though!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2008 10:23

O maybe I shouldn'y have squeezed a lemon into her eye

(joke!!!)
