I've just been outside to rescue my laundry from the impending storm. Feck it's cold. (we have a cot in the living room for baggins safety, takes up a lot of space and he doesn't like it really, but it's the safest place for him as I don't always have the pushchair in).

My ds has just fallen over and smacked his mouth on the table. He has sliced his gum open and it is bleeding, he seems quite happy though. His mouth is really swollen, but he is laughing. He is a hard nut. I was dithering as to whether to take him to a&e, but it's not bothering him, so I don't think I will. I think it'll be just bm for dinner, I don't want him to hurt it on food.

Why is it that when I give the jamlet a nice teething toy to chew on because her cheeks are bright red and I am fed up with her chomping on my chin, it is the one thing she won't put in her mouth?
