HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 13:00

you're not selfish, I wouldn't want my 8 month old being unecessarily exposed to pox either.

Then again I am not a good person to give 'mate' advice as I don't have any

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 13:02

ugh it smells like FART at my desk and it WASN'T ME!

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:05

You would be allowed a self indulgent bitchy post Ria, but that sounded completely reasonable. Sounds like your friend is the selfish one, not you.

Riallymusttryharder · 12/03/2008 13:13

Thanks!

lackaDAISYcal · 12/03/2008 13:20

not selfish Ria; just tell her baggins is aso poorly and you aren't receiving visitors

DD and I have just shared a rather nice slightly over-rip juicy mango for lunch. She cried when it was finished, bless

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:27

Hi Daisy, glad DDs skin is on the mend. The jamlet loves mango too. She was asleep on my lap when my phone rang, so I laid her on changing mat on the floor and miraculously she cried a little then went back to sleep. She's spark out now arms and legs spread wide, taking up as much floor space as she can manage.

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:28

Sainsbury's delivery came early but the car seat hasn't come yet, so am stuck in the house and it's sunny and blue skies out

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:30

Bah! She's just woken up. Looks much smilier than before her nap though

lackaDAISYcal · 12/03/2008 13:31

make sure you get a photo for the "undignified" section of the family album jammy

domestic question for you.....what do you do with DD when you hang the washing out? I have a basket full which will dry very nicely in today's jaunty gale force winds breeze, but DD is up and about. Can't leave her in the house, and no-where to put her in the garden. Tis an ongoing puzzle here and I usually end up just bunging things in the drier

OP posts:
milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:34

Ah, with the jamlet not yet mobile I can leave her in the house to pop into the garden for a fwe minutes. Otherwise - high chair? Securely strapped in of course, or is that still too risky?

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 13:36

Didn't manage a photo unfortunately. And now she's just lying there quietly inspecting her fingers and the fairy on her tshirt. Why can't she be as quiet when she wakes up in the morning?

Sputnik · 12/03/2008 13:39

Am reeling at the 34 nappies. Poor kid must have 1 sore bum Hope things improve today.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 13:45

he's a little better today, so far only on 9 nappies!

We have been spreading sudocrem on with abandon so it's not too bad but needless to say he screams when he sees a nappy coming out

lackaDAISYcal · 12/03/2008 14:04

fury, top pain free nappy change trick for poorly bottoms:

Whisk up a cold egg white, dab it on, let dry and it forms a pretty good barrier. It doesn't sting when it goes on (sudocreme stings like f*** as I found to my cost when I had some chafing after a long cycle ride), and the coolness is, I imagine, quite nice. Keep it in the fridge for re-use at next change, but just be careful not to double dip your fingers!

DS had a really nasty nappy rash after sitting in poo for hours when we were on a long journey. A quick dab of egg-white and his bot was nearly clear in the morning.

A guy at work said to me today 'What does WIFE stand for?'
me: 'dunno'
him: 'washing, ironing, f*cking, etc'
me: 'Oh dear, my husband lucked out, he only got a wie'

They are not too politically correct here

lackaDAISYcal · 12/03/2008 14:06

jammy, I never thought about her high chair...or I can pop her in the pram! Looks like th rain is coming again though, so it'll be the drier again this time!

Off to the shops before school pick up...later

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 14:40

Fury! I'd have thought they'd have known better there (mind you, there are dinosaurs in those corridors!)

ROFL at your response.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 14:46

lol Foxy

I think they do know better there - but my team are terrible for it!
Having said that I just yelled at my boss 'can you help me fudge this please' before he gave me an amused look and I remembered he was gay and then I burst out laughing.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 12/03/2008 15:23

PMSL fury! Good response! I sometimes wish for adult interactions like that...all the amusement in my house today has involved watching the Peppa Pig episode where Daddy Pig gets chased by a wasp! It's really funny !

Sorry your ds is so poorly, hope he gets better soon and hope his little botty isn't too red.

Daisy, the nappy biz sounds great. Make sure you sell the Itti Bitti nappies, they are soooo fab!

I have just made the first recipe on this thread and they are yummity yum! So scrummy! I made them for toddler group tomorrow, but I don't think they'll last that long. Dd and I have already scoffed a few and they are not even cool yet!

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 12/03/2008 15:25

Oh BTW do ant FFers need any bottles? I am being sent a selection by Prima Baby mag to test and I don't even really use them!

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 12/03/2008 15:27

Oooh foxy great! Are you sure it won't be interrupting other arrangements? Where would you want to meet? I don't know the area but I can get to Cribb pretty well but am happy to venture further if that is easier for you.

Daisy, your business idea sounds fab. Good luck with it.

Fury, how's the LO?

Hope your chair arrives soon Jammy.

Hi everyone else etc. (sorry memory is shite!)

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 15:31

Hey Holly I'll take bottles if no-one else has a more pressing need for them!

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 15:33

I wanna meet up with people!
sniff

Baby fury is doing well (ie, shouting and playing and creating havoc) but still squitty.

Looks like I might need tomorrow off as well.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 15:38

I need a name change.

I am no longer as 'angry' as I was.

I shall have a think.

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 15:41

Car seat arrived thanks Bumper, and we have been out to the park It was blustery, but lovely and sunny. The jamlet loves the swings, but wasn't too impressed with the slide.
