Fury, DD didn't wee for about 4 days. I just gave her as much milk and water as I could get down her, sloppy solids and doc told me that if she dehydrated at all, to get her to the hospital....otherwise bug will work its way out in 4-7 days....then you and DH will probably get it........you have my sympathies...its horrible

lackaDAISYcal · 11/03/2008 19:04

bleargh .....I've got the D bit of the D&V bug doing the rounds here. Poor DD, I had to throw her at DH during a pooey nappy change earlier to run to the loo, and I've just had to stop feeding her twice in the middle of her nighttime feed to do the same.
Was at the docs with her earlier about her skin and weight loss. He thinks it's ringworm or some such fungal infection, so we have yet another potion to try. He said not to get too worried about the weight loss and said not to have her weighed for a month. If the trend is still downward then we'll get the paed dietician to look at her and do some allergy testing.

Part of me is thinking that if there is a problem I want to get it sorted sooner rather than later and a month is way too long to wait, but I know that he is being very sensible about it.

Anyway, I'm off to lie on the sofa and groan whilst DH fetches me glasses of warm water.

Oh poor you Daisy....at least DH is around....take care

Lets hope the latest cream works for DD x

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 20:11

Poor you daisy, just what you need with MS too. Hope it goes away quickly for you and DD.

Could you compromise with DD and get her weighed after two weeks? Though if you've both got a bug it maybe won't show anyway.

phew, DH is still out, I have managed to get DS2&3 to bed, DS1 is playing nintendo (after very nearly getting sent to bed for clattering the biscuit barrel and waking DS3) and I have done my workout. Hope DH gets back soon so I can go for a quick blast round the block, before the enthusiam wears off

I just bought a highsleeper bedframe with a desk underneath for DS1s new room for £5 on ebay. There's no wonder we're skint with my ebay habit

foxythesnowman · 11/03/2008 20:25

Ebay bargain! Well done Ria!

Just a quick dash in.

Took kids swimming after school. Am knackered. DP needs PC, so see you tomorrow!

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 20:31

now all I need is a single futon/chair bed to go next to the desk. My vision might just become reality ,though I'll probably dream about polyfillaing holes and paining ceilings again tonight.

Right, am officially bored now. DH has been out ages and I can't have a glass of wine til he gets back or I'll run out before he does

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 11/03/2008 20:46

Farking hell ria, that's a bargain and a half!

Just popping in too before paying DH some attention (not that sort!)

Daisy, i really hope you feel better. Take care of yourself as much as you can.

Hope everyone has restful nights.

Fury hope DS is ok.

Sputnik and Ria I will be joining you on that thread again soon!

Night all xxx

milkyJammy · 11/03/2008 21:01

Evening all. Sounds like there's more than enough illness and sleeplessness going round Hope things get better for everyone soon.

Annobal, I'd have been narked about that bag too.

Busy busy day at work. But some good has come of it. I got a revised estimate from our payroll about the moeny I owe them. Yesterday they quoted me £2800, today it was down to £1500! And I accepted the offer from our job/pay review (agenda for change for those that know about these things) which will bring a nice pay rise (though slightly longer hours ). And I finally got a work laptop for working from home (can't get full access to everything I need on my home one). And I got appointed of chairperson of our sewers group, despite only starting to learn about sewers about 2 weeks ago! Fun and games

Sputnik · 11/03/2008 21:05

Daisy, I had ringworm once, I caught it from my cat. Maybe you should dose the cat too?

Hope all the D&V clears up for everyone, seems to have been loads of it recently.

Sputnik · 11/03/2008 21:07

I bet everyone was after that job

milkyJammy · 11/03/2008 21:09

LOL Sputnik There won't be any going near sewers, just writing about them. Phew!

LittleMissNorty · 11/03/2008 21:19

Well done Jammy ....Agenda for Change is only 3 years late....do you get a nice back-pay? Do you have to do mnay more hours? Our full timers just went up half hour on a week.

I done very well out of my AFC as well....as did a lot of us scientists....no wonder the NHS is broke

I got ringworm (fungal not worms!) from my cat as well - nizoral shampoo done the trick (for both of us although the cat did complain somewhat )

milkyJammy · 11/03/2008 21:27

Thanks Norty. I'll get back pay back to Apr 1st 2005, when NRPB (who I work for) joined the HPA. The HPA works to 37.5 hours a week, and NRPB worked to 35 hours per week. Currently ex-NRPB staff are still on 35 hours, while staff who joined since Apr 1st 2005 are on 37.5 hours, but we are being phased up from 35 hours to 37.5 over the next few years. Of course I'm part time, so I guess I won't work any more hours, but will get slightly less money for it. Mmmm.

milkyJammy · 11/03/2008 21:36

Well that's obviosuly bored everyone, and can't say I blame them.

But I'm off. It's been a long, long day what with LO waking at 4.30 this morning.

DKMA · 11/03/2008 21:39

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd draw your attention to this
I remember when this little fella was born - and sadly died and my heart just breaks when I think of him and his lovely family

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 12/03/2008 07:49

Morning all,

Thanks for the link DKMA.

Another early morning waking here, 2.30, that's the 3rd time since saturday night [yawn]. Then she didn't want to go back to bed so we had her in with us again. The DH's tossing phone started bleeping, then he started snoring, then DD up again at 6.30. I'm knackered!

LittleMissNorty · 12/03/2008 08:25

Morning ladies

Jammy....We went up to 37.5 in December and us part-timers had the choice of increasing our hours slightly or dropping money.

Back-pay will be nice...should pay off your overpayment?

Sorry you've had a crappy night Bumper....I gave DD medised last night and she slept through...should have given DH some though

Off to see the surgeon today about my dodgy gall-bladder...

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 09:09

bumper, sorry about your crap night. Hope you get some rest today.

Norty, I'm not sure what will happen really. I might get teh option to increase hours, but to be honest I'm not sure if I can really. The length of my day at work is kind of dictated by the bus times. Depending on how much it would have to go up I could work slightly longer by taking shorter lunches though I guess.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 09:36

Morning all!

We had a record of 34 shitty nappies yesterday. So far the tally is at 4 today since 7am, but it's DH's turn to play nursemaid so I am at work.

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 09:49

Poor DS. And poor Fury. And lucky Fury's DH!

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 09:52

34?????

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 12/03/2008 09:54

Oh dear fury

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 09:59

Hey Bumper! Whats it like where you are? DP there this week.

annobal · 12/03/2008 10:19

Bloody hell that's a lot of nappies Fury. How is the little fella today?

Hi Foxy, hi Bumper

milkyJammy · 12/03/2008 10:23

Lord, hope the jamlet doesn't get the runs like that. I don't think we've got enough nappies to cope!
