And yes Daisy, sorry about HB/MS. And MIL

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:31

You ANBU, it's the least he can do after you cooked that delicious meal

Riallymusttryharder · 08/03/2008 20:44

poor you daisy - isn't hormonal MIL beating allowed? I'm sorry I must have missed something, do you mean MS as in "MS"? How long have you known?

Everyone's tea sounds good. We had cottage pie that DH made, but he didn't make it his way, he adhered to the SW rules (apart from putting potato on top instead of swede & celeriac because the celeriac I bought on Thursday had gone off). I/we are starving, that would be because we missed lunch (me because I had buttery toast late morning for a very late breakfast and DH because he was being an arse so I chucked it in the bin and didn't make him anything else.)

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:46

Ria, I think Daisy means Morning Sickness not multiple sclerosis. I had the same thought when I first read it.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:52

jammy, tell him to stop being a bit of an arse and to get the frozen yogurt!

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:52

OK, off to watch TV with DH. Night all

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:55

oh, you lot are out of practice with your pregnancy acronyms

I've just been over on my "new" social networking site! It's called Mean Mothers and was set up by one of the women who goes to the M&B group with me on a Friday. Sounds bad, but the Mean is in Meanwood where most of us live! Tis very exclusive, membership by invite only. Who knows, one day we may be the new MN! there are only about 30 members at the moment though!

are we losing you Daisy ? I can feel you being dragged away by your RL friends and a new antenatal board

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:58

Goodnight Jammy

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 21:00

not much chat with only 30 though. It's much nicer her

I've just been navigating around the site, and there is a link to some "websites we like". One of them is netmums .

OP posts:
FairyFay · 08/03/2008 21:02

, I'm glad to hear it. You don't want to get dragged over to netmums

SisterSputnik · 08/03/2008 21:02

Don't you dare abandon us Daisy

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 21:06

never sputnik. It's like the Hotel California here

how is sunny italy today? Is your weather getting nicer now? It has been raining here all afternoon and pretty miserable. I want some sun!

OP posts:
SisterSputnik · 08/03/2008 21:12

Well it was gloomy and rainy most of the week, and it rained and was very cold yesterday. In fact it snowed further up the mountain and DD and DH went off to make snowmen this morning. Today it suddenly got warmer again, it can be pretty changable this time of year, but apart from yesterday it's now pretty spring-like.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 21:15

wow at the snowmen . We've had two very short snowstorms this year and that's it.

OP posts:
Izzybel · 08/03/2008 21:20

Hiya! It's been rainy and miserable here all day. Roll on summer! If we get a summer, that is

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 21:22

at snow. We've had grey, rainy and windy here today. In fact i haven't left the house at all.

SisterSputnik · 08/03/2008 21:24

That's what's cool about living on a mountain, we can have snow 10 minutes drive away, but not here. It's only snowed up there a couple of times this winter though. Usually we get a little down here but not in the last coulple of years. The last time it snowed properly here was our wedding night and all my family was here.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 21:25

i know izzy, apart from may and the beginning of June (when we were all heavily pregnant and uncomfortable!) the weather last year was rubbish! The same happened when I was off on ML with DS.

I think we are due a corker. My new veg bed will need lots of sun.

I planted up some seeds in the propagator today; two different types of cherry tomato, two of courgettes, some peas, baby sweetcorn and pumpkins. Can't wait to get the directly sown seeds into the ground, but it's a bit too cold just now I think. I could do with some advice from JBM!

Izzybel · 08/03/2008 21:26

I can't wait for DD to see her first proper snow. We've seen a few flakes this year but that's it. On monday it was snowing/hail and I thought that maybe it wold snow properly, but no.

Izzybel · 08/03/2008 21:28

Sounds like you've been busy Daisy

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 21:35

Honest opinions please...... Following on from Ria's crocs discussion, I'm thinking of getting some of these.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 21:48

I'm not a fan of crocs as a rule, but they look OK

Some of their new styles look interesting though.

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 21:52

Thanks Daisy. I NEED more comfy shoes for the summer. I lived in my Birkenstocks last year and I'd like a change. I have size 9 feet so am rather limited in choices.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 08/03/2008 21:53

Evening!

I am going to get some of those Crocs for my dd in the summer, but I wouldn't wear them myself. They are very practical, being waterproof and odour proof, but I'm not sure I really like the look of the traditional Crocs. I have some of these because they look more normal shoe like! They are really comfortable now, but I had hell to start with, they gave me hellish blisters on my heels.

Hope everyone is well today, I've not caught up, I'm too tired to concentrate!
