some nights foxy, you just have to give in. DD usually bleats around 11pm, and most night settles, but last night she was up till 12:30 (bless DH, he brought her downstairs to let me sleep ). I think she had sore ears.

I'm off to bed before she wakes up and hopefully DH'll get her again!

Night all!

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/03/2008 22:40

Night Foxy. Night All.

Izzybel · 07/03/2008 22:41

I'm off too! Goodnight!

Riallymusttryharder · 08/03/2008 11:12

Good morning.

Thanks for that daisy. We're waiting for a hosp appt, so I may well be a ssupportive wife and go with him...

My horrible children fought and shouted through my lie-in, couldn't find pants and tracksuit etc, so I am knackered. And I'm in pain and limping . So I've had buttery toast.

And I still have yesterdays ironing to do.

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 11:16

Morning.

Oh don't bother ironing Ria. Most stuff doesn't really need it. Half an hour's wear and you can't tell the difference! Or am I just too slovenly too mention

Had a lie in of sorts. We got up early, but then managed to go back to bed from about 8.30 to 10.30 and all snoozed together like a big snoozy family

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 11:25

Looks like I missed a lot last night.
Izzy - glad your Mum's endo went OK. Fingers crossed for future tests.
Daisy - hope you get DD's skin sorted. And hope she picks her weight up again.
I see there was a lot of shopping chat Must say I love purple, but agree maybe not for a coat.
We're also a bit mixed with the jamlet's feeding. She mainly gets spoon fed, and she tries to guide the spoon herself once she's satisfied the initial hunger, so that gets messy And some things she feeds herself finger food style (bread, rice cakes, breadsticks, some fruit, bits of ham, cheese, raisins, some veg). IMHO I agree with Foxy on needing a mix.

Riallymusttryharder · 08/03/2008 17:04

tis very quiet today.

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 19:29

Helloooooo anybody there????

Izzy, I'm glad your Mum's test went well.

DS has a mix of finger foods and puree/mashes, although he is getting fussier and is starting to refuse to eat more and more things and to get fed up of me feeding him. He tried to feed himself with couscous on thursday, which was a tad messy!

I love purple too. It's my favourite colour although I don't have all that many purple clothes, mainly brown

Daisy, I understand that must be a bit concenring about babyboo's weight. I'm sure the activity has a big part to play. I hope you get to the bottom of her possible allergy.

I've had an old university friend staying for a couple of nights which was lovely but reminded me of my old life. It's sunny because I really don't want to go out clubbing, drinking, etc anymore but I think I sometimes feel like I'd like to have the option to do it if I wanted to. Does that make sense? Probably not.

Riallymusttryharder · 08/03/2008 19:53

I think that makes sense FF. We're a funny bunch us mummies aren't we

I was talking to an old school friend today. We were the complete opposite at school and we still are I suppose, but switched round iyswim (she has done so much with her life and only has 1 DC of 1 yr old, where I haven't and have 3.) I don't know if it bothers me or not.

Hope it picks up on here later or I'll have to talk to DH

off to put the little buggers to bed.

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 19:56

I'm calling in briefly while tea cooks, hope to back later though.

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 19:57

Oh dear, can you tell we've had some gin already

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:10

oooooh, gin

We have a fence . Still the top lattice panels to out in, and there is a 2" gap which needs some of grandad's handiwork, but it is a fence. Sherman can be let loose in the garden soon

OP posts:
FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:14

hooray for fences, and letting lo's loose in the garden. Unfortunately our 'garden' is all paved so DS won't be able to go out there anytime soon. We are hoping to have a small extension done soon adn re-do the garden at the same time. I'm considering that artifical grass that Norty (?) mentioned.

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:16

Hi Daisy!

I'm full of curry now I made turkey & cashew nut curry, accompanied by bombay potato & caulifliwer and chilli & brocolli stir fry. With rice.

Today seemed hard work Not quite sure why. Maybe I expect weekends to be easier because, well it's the weekend. But of course babies behave much the same whatever the day.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:17

you'd think I'd actually had some gin, i meant put in, and a 2foot gap, not 2 inch.

OP posts:
milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:17

Hi Fairy. I totally understand the thing about wanting the option of going out etc.

FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:19

mmmm Jammy, that sounds lovely. We had Thai green curry

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:19

Mmmm, I love thai curry.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:24

oh, curry sound nice jammy. We had bangers and mash, but I'm feeling a bit dodgy now. I think I might have caught DDs sickness bug, or it might just be MS

We had a really chilled day, and just played around on the floor. My friend came over with her baby and we sat and chatted and had lots of tea. MIL was here too, and I had to put up with a few acid barbs from her about the state of the house ("well, I used to do all the housework after the DCs were in bed, or it would never get done", "how can you expect C to tidy up after himself when he lives with so much clutter") and my parenting skills ("we find that C responds far better to reasoning; if all he knows is shouting, then he's going to shout too")...that last one after he had been asked five times to not do something before I raised my voice. She is truly a witch. I'm glad my friend came over with her DH who was helping mine build the fence or I might have been tempted to clock her one!

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2008 20:25

sorry, fairy, hi to you too. Also a big fan of thai curry here too.

I had a huge plate of nachos for tea last night with lots and lots of jalapeno peppers and boy did i suffer last night. Bad HB already

OP posts:
FairyFay · 08/03/2008 20:26

at the HB and MS, that sucks.

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:29

AIBU? I just made all that curry and when I asked for some ben & jerry's frozen yoghurt for pudding, DH suggested a choc ice instead because getting the frozen yoghurt out is a 2bit of an arse". WTF? I've told him that no, I want frozen yoghurt!

milkyJammy · 08/03/2008 20:30

Sorry dodgy keyboard - that should have been "bit of an arse"
