Watch out cows, here it comes!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
2HipHopandHappy · 28/03/2008 19:07

I like it, Wilkie, I like it

about where you're staying. When will you have time to be able to look elsewhere? How long is the rent on the place?

Hey, Rgee, what did you think about the Apprentice BTW? Slagging 'uneducated football fans' to SAS!! Not the best boardroom tactics!

2HipHopandHappy · 28/03/2008 19:10

Incidently, I am a shit mother. I have forgotten completely how to amuse a baby - clearly, I normally rely on ds1 to interact with ds2

2HipHopandHappy · 28/03/2008 19:31

I am shit mother #2 - ds1 is away, and I am eating one of his easter eggs

WilkieBarEasterEgg · 28/03/2008 19:51

Yey! 2HipHopandHappy - it suits you. Want to jazz mine up but can't for the life of me think what to do.

Reg/2H - I am an avid Apprentice fan. That guy was such a nobber. And the other guy (asian with floppy nasty hair) is such an arogant T.W.A.T. Though SAS was particularly sexy and thought he was gonna explode when Nicholas made his 'uneducated football fan' comment. PMSL!

DH fancies the girl with dark bobbed hair, yellow silk shirt and pencil skirt

JodieG1 · 28/03/2008 20:06

eah - Ethan wakes early too, 5-6am usually. Wonder if the clocks going forward makes any difference though. The kids seem
to get everything going and ds1 still isn't right, quite worried about him and now Ethan is also coming down with it.

Wilkie - that sounds likes a nightmare We've had the bin refused before when we accidently put something in that shouldn't be
they just stuck a label on it, meant we had to wait 2 weeks until it was collected.

Rgee - Hi I need to download the apprentice as I forgot to stick it on sky plus

2happy - Not too bad, we're all ill again except for me. I actually started a thread about ds1 tonight as I'm quite worried
about him.

Loosh - waves back. How did the shopping go? I'm jealous that you had time alone hehe.

Liz - poor DJ Must be itchy for him. I don't think I'd go as I wouldn't enjoy it, would worry all night long but I guess
it depends how bad he is.

Do any other babies have eczema? Ethan now has that and still has his egg allergy. I've been smothering him in
E45 and an aqueous cream from the drs which helps but he still flares up. Tried some steroid cream too which did help to
get it in check.

I'm knackered, have done everything alone for the last week or so as dh is now also ill. Hoping I don't get ill too.

laughalot · 28/03/2008 21:37

He was a knob on the apprentice what the hell is his name reffa or some crap. I liked the team leader bloke. She looks like a right bitch wih the ginger hair.

looshkin · 29/03/2008 18:42

Evening all,

Just turned on TV to relax in front of The Storymakers only to find Charlie and Lola - hmmm what is the world coming to

Lizz - hello how are you doing. Sorry to hear about the chicken pox we are certainly fed up of herpes like viruses in this house. Hope he settles soon. Did you make it to the wedding?

LAL - yep had the mmr and pneumovacc there is no absolute time they must be given but round about 13ish months or whenever you can get down to the docs. I have to admit i almost chickened out of the mmr even though i know all of the research and how safe it is and how measles especially is coming back (only one case in my practice though). I did have this little wobble so I can totally empathise with parents who are not sure what to do. I hope I have always been understanding but extra so now.

eandh - hope the last few nights have been better I know ds reacts to medised so i think there must a rogue e number in there somewhere. Also need your shopping advice - just got a maclaren stroller (sport I think it is) but need a foot muff can you recommend anywhere to get them at a good price (just bought his and her matching gor-tex so now skint - OMG god we have become old ).

Shimmer - I think I would probably go with card and big smile

2H - great name, how is your weekend going hope you have relaxed +++ I find leaving stuff that normally not allowed to touch - keys, magazines etc lying around is usually good entertainment.

Rgee - you are officially charged with cheer wilkie up this weekend are you in leeds? I went to uni in leeds so have very 'fond' memories of woodhouse and hydepark bad student housing.

Wilkie - hope you have a good day tomorrow, it will all get better over the next few weeks as you settle in. Lots of hugs etc (LTH don't look)

Jodie - hope you are not coming down with anything - hope dh picks up to give you a bit of a break.

We have just got back from mil after all the hoo har (sp?) with germs, I did find a bottle of bleach in the loo which is most unlike mil as v v v messy . Ds did not sleep and just looked generally frightened so left very early this am. I think he is going through a real need to be at home phase. No-one mentioned all the fuss so hopefully it has all settled. dh feeling not too bad but has another 2 weeks on the antivirals. He went back to work on thursday and he was OK which was a relief. Due to have double dose chemo next week so hope he will be OK with this as well.

Right off to do bath etc have good weekends all we are off to try out our new gor-tex tomorrow somewhere in the hills/reservoirs/pub etc we really are very sad .

loosh.

WilkieBarEasterEgg · 29/03/2008 18:49

Ou est MrsC and Dragonhart?????

Hope all is ok with you girls xx

SmoothandWilkie · 29/03/2008 18:53

Do you like my new name

eandh · 29/03/2008 19:39

Loosh - will go and have a scurry around internet for you (I know you can get mclaren footmuffs - do you want one of those or a universal one?)

Wilkie - love the name - how are you and how did yesterday go in the shop?

Funny day here, dh off and Ellie had fairly good night (only 1 terror last night) but I couldnt sleep. Took the girls to the cafe with my Dad this morning and then we took Ellie to the museum (her new fav place to visit ) came home and DH took them out for a walk and I fell asleep for 2 hours . Popped to Morrisons to do food shop (with Ellie) and then just family time after that, we've discovered paint pens they are fab kept Ellie amused on her own for ages and Hattie had a do

Girls went to bed at 7 (or 8 when clocks change later) so hoping for small lay in in the morning. cooked steak/king prawns and salad for tea and bumming on sofa for rest of evening

eandh · 29/03/2008 19:41

Hattie had a go

Where are LTH/Katwith3/Dragon/UD/PCF/Mrs C/am sure there are a few others missing

eandh · 29/03/2008 19:51

what colour are you looking for Loosh (I have Mclaren buggy and this is my 9th buggy since Ellie was born and I love it)

looshkin · 29/03/2008 20:01

eandh - thank you for taking up the challenge - probably would like a maclaren one as the straps are a bit funny (you cannot separate the shoulder from waist strap hence my current cositoes does not fit properly IYSWIM). Any colour but shocking pink maybe a step too far with dh (not keen on ds playing with cousin's pram and pink princess castle eventhough kept him amused for hours). Thank you so much - but do get some well earned sleep/rest instead of doing my dirty owrk for me.

By the way those suit cases are sooo cool we are definitely getting one do they do ones for grown ups? mind you cannot see dh draggin me and ds around.

Right off to look at wool just got from ebay and begin the stupid nativity scene which I know regret starting, blardy knitted beards and shepherd crook. Sheep do look easy so may just leave it as sheep and some hay with a 'out for lunch back in 10min sign'

loosh.

eandh · 29/03/2008 20:08

if you dont mind ebay

bargain but not long left

eandh · 29/03/2008 20:11

brand new

eandh · 29/03/2008 20:22

how much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eandh · 29/03/2008 20:24

brand new link again as other one not working

SmoothandWilkie · 29/03/2008 20:28

PMSL Loosh - shall I bring my cross-stitch on Monday???

eandh · 29/03/2008 20:30

all the other ones seem to be around £50 so hope one of those may be suitable

Right v.bizarre - Ellie had her normal night terror (exactly 2 hours after she'd gone to sleep) and she is drenched in sweat (one of signs of night terrors - her haor looks like I have washed it its that wet) but her pj's are soaked do you think I should change her and risk waking her or leave her? Also she/I cleaned her teeth before bed but when she has one of these terrors her breath stinks

ladytophamhatt · 29/03/2008 20:30

loosh, you can get the straps off the new maclaren harnesses.
If yo look at the waist bit the shoulder straps can fit through a teeny weeny weeny gap, you might have to pull it apart abit but I did this when I got my new buggy(tahnks again lizzz) and cosytoes recently.

Sorry for being AWOL, G is on anti-b's now for his cough. GP said if his mucus/phlem doesn't change with teh medicine they'll look into it being asthma. I worked it out yesterday and he's had a cough pretty mush constantly since before he got chicken pox...which was at the start of February!!
I was on teh sofa with his at 2am this morning and I didn't think I had much more then a few hours sleep after that.
I look and feel like shite!

Hope DJ isn't to itchy Lizzz, deffo so the oats in a sock thing. It worked atreat with G.

Whats wrong with the new place/area wilkie? apart form thieving scumbags....

Catch you all later, I;m off to my sofa.

xx

vinojaune · 29/03/2008 21:16

Its a weary vino. Too much painting and sorting out. Just one coat needed in Ellen's room in morning then NO MORE PAINTING for a week or so. DH has been busy diying today and the kitchen is looking much more homely. Will be even better when its tidy

Lizz - if you went to wedding hope you had fun. Hope DJ is ok too.

Wilkie hope you had a nice day

Loosh - hope one of E&H's finds does the trick
Happy knitting!

The new name is jazzy 2h!

E&H - the night terrors sound wierd. Lets hope they pass. I guess it would be nice for Ellie if she was changed.

Shimmer · 29/03/2008 22:21

Just reading though...wasn't going to post cos i am ill and NEED to go to bed. But just had to say the exact same thing happened to me his evening Loosh - 6 oclock comes round and I think, Fab, I can plonk me and F (well he half watches and half runs around)in front of the telly for an hour for Storymakers and ITNG before bed. But what do I find??? No such thing, that's what i find. We were most disapointed, though at least Chris still sung the bedtime songs.... (we love them )

looshkin · 30/03/2008 08:01

Morning all,

eandh - thanks so much for all the links I will investigate today. I was thinking about these night terrors, they sound awful for you and her . I am not sure which is best to change or leave in wet pjs but if you are worried do take her to her GP and chat things through. I will have a look in some of my books today for more suggestions. lots of hugs

LTH - so sorry to hear about G, coughs are very tricky in such little ones as when you listen to their chests they cannot do a cough on command so they always sound chesty. Thanks for the tip on the footmuff - of course they come off .

Shimmer - we love chris chris too and poi but mainly chris . ITNG must not be on on a sat.

Vino - sounds like you need a break from the paint brush - GO AND SIT DOWN.

Just to keep you all up dated, Mary's skrirt thing is half done ! Right hopefully back of to bed.

loosh

2HipHopandHappy · 30/03/2008 11:47

we sing the songs too, Shimmer

2HipHopandHappy · 30/03/2008 11:49

And ds1 calls him Crisps
