aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhh shit afternoon

Big bang in kitchen

smell gas - call transco (me and girls escape to house over the road just in case!)

Transco arrive - gas is leaking from freezer (hence big bang)

All food now in neighbours freezers

Fridge freezer now in garden (lovely transc men moved it for me)

Need to get a fridge freezer tomorrow that can be collected tomorrow (my Dad off work so will collect in his van) as need a fridge/freezer for weekend

No more shopping for ages as big bang broken freezer going to now cost ££££££'s to replace

Shimmer · 19/03/2008 20:44

Hi all.
So sorry to hear about your bad news MrsC. Much sympathy and well-wishing from me along with everyone else.

EaH Freddie is exactly the same with his food. Will ONLY feed himself now and gets really pissed off if i try and get a spoon anywhere near his mouth. He's not too bad and using a spoon and fork himself now, but does drop a fair bit and often spears something with his fork and then picks it off and puts it in his mouth with the other hand

Ummmm curry for supper tonight yum yum, I'm starving. I've only just got F to sleep. He has been a NIGHTMARE at nights for about the last fortnight. Not everynight, but most, he wakes up LOADS and jst cries and cries and refuses to go back to sleep unless me or DP is standing by his cot. Tis very fustrating!

Wilkie your FIL does sound quite annoying - and as the others have said the 'gay' thing isn't too nice. I'm sure once you've moved you'll probably see them less and so the annoying things will be more easily forgiven. I quite like that DP's parents live up in York We only see them for about a weekend twice a year, which is just perfect for me!

Lizz a whole weekend to yourself!!! I've still not even had a night away from F! Credit to your DP though! I don't think mine would survive a whole weekend with F without me to do everything myself help out!

eandh · 19/03/2008 20:45

Oh sorry LTH I missed your post your MIL sounded like a bitch, hitting you with a 5 week old baby

My MIL loves me because I got DH to move out (she thought she'd be stuck with him for years )

dh is out c/sectioning a sheep, so that's the 6th day and night in a row I've seen bugger all of him.

Bored.

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 20:59

LTH - a mil who makes mine sound positively cuddly!
eandh - I hope you are ok, what a day!

eandh · 19/03/2008 21:00

Ellie got herself in a right state - she thought the house as going to catch fire and she didnt have Mr Bear (her comforter) she sobbed for the hour we were over the road I am now getting paranoid about my headache

"happy - is dh on call over easter as well?

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 21:01

There's a new series of Desperate Houswives coming soon. That'll be good.

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 21:03

Ooh, hello! COmpany!! Poor Ellie - did she get off to sleep?
Actually no - having been on all this weekend, and away on his stag do last weekend, he is actually off this weekend, and the boss who "doesn't believe in bank holidays" is allowing them to take Friday and Monday off [grrin]. Shame I've got to work Friday . Still, so long as I get one, just one lie-in this weekend, I'll be happy.

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 21:03

Oh fukkit, why is ds2 making noise now??

eandh · 19/03/2008 21:12

Is ds2 stirring or dreaming? Hattie will wake at 10pm when I go to bed (guaranteed I swear she hears me get into bed!)

Ellie went to bed fine a bit late at 7pm as she was still going on about if it was ok now and making sure that dh or I werent going out (she does like to fret/worry over things and hates it if she knows I am going out and DH looking after them )

What do you think about 2nd row 2nd on left (white ones) for Hattie? Ellie likes the bronze or rainbow ones on bottom row for her

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 21:18

He was crying, but then he stopped. He usually stirs when i go to bed, but doesn't wake up. He normally now sleeps to 5 or 6 with only a wake or three in between, but still has spells where he is awake for hours at night. Exhausting. Do your still come into bed when dh gets up in the morning? Do you manage to get back to sleep? early mornings suck!
Oooh, girls shoes I like the white ones for H, and I like the rainbow ones - E has good taste

eandh · 19/03/2008 21:22

E is a friggin nightmare - she seems to think she can choose what she is wearing - I let her choose between pre selected outfits as otherswise she'd have stripes/spots/legging/skirt/ugg boots/summer dress combi on (actually she is fairly good at matching stuff but not always appriopriate (sp) for the weather!)

My auntie has emailed to ask what they'd like for easter, up to £10 each but she doesnt buy them chocolate so thought I'd ask her to get sandals (I know Hattie will be fine in a size 4 and Ellie will be an 8 in the summer as they both have slow growing feet )

2HappyEaster · 19/03/2008 21:32

dneice is like that - the combinations she comes up with are hilarious! No concept of summer/winter clothes. Gender stereotyping ahoy, but ds1 has never shown the slightest interest in choosing his clothes, thank heavens. So long as he gets to wear his Bob the Builder hat (and today, his vet's white coat ).

Right, I must go to bed. Are you going freezer shopping tomorrow? Presumably the old one'll be covered by your home & contents (including the food, which is where you suddenly discover you had a previously undisclosed taste for caviar )

WilkieBarEasterEgg · 19/03/2008 21:52

Will post again soon (hopefully)

vinojaune · 20/03/2008 21:32

Loosh - yum I love those fishcakes...like to have some in the freezer so maybe I need a trip to M&S

E&H - hope you got your new fridge freezer sorted out.

2happy - hope work tomorrow is ok and that you manage a lie in this weekend. I'm working tomorrow too, will be quite glad that DH has to look after E from wake up until early afternoon. He has to swop some paint at b&q with her and go food shopping cos I was too late to get an online delivery slot for tomorrow. I don;t envy him the trip to supermarket tomorrow te he he.

Happy Easter everyone. We have friends for dinner tomorrow night, not sure what doing on sat, brother visiting and staying on easter day then going to see some of dh relatives on monday.

Dragon if you are about hope all is well.

2HappyEaster · 21/03/2008 06:45

Loosh - hmm, not sure what happened, did it a few days ago. Have tried again.
Vino - thanks. Predictably enough, dh is taking the kids to his parents... I don't think he has ever managed to look after them for a sustained period of time on his own. Ever. I hope MrVino enjoys his shopping trip [evil]

Lizzzombie · 21/03/2008 19:18

Hi!
Yes I am a singleton this weekend.
Was touch and go last night when DP came home and collapsed upstairs instantly falling asleep and only waking up to D&V in the middle of the night. But. He was 100% this morning so they set off bright and early, I sobbed like a baby for 20 minutes! (I'm telling myself this is normal behaviour!) then fell asleep till 3pm - how outrageous is that!
Am off out in a bit, then working tomorrow and going to the cinema tomorrow night, then Monday I am having a huge spring clean! - can't wait! Stero up loud and marigolds on!

Just got my tesco clubcard deal vouchers through. Its soooooo worth changing them into vouchers rather than using them against your shopping (if you can) For £15 of club card vouchers we get £60 worth of deal vouchers!
Am kicking myself that I didnt get the Alton towers ones though. Will save for them next.

Hope everyone has a good easter. Lots of love xxx

eandh · 21/03/2008 19:32

Evening

Laughalot - yep Mum and Dad are up in Derby went this morning, although am presuming they got there safely as they havent rung/text They did say last night that me and the girls could have gone with them as DH working every day but Sunday. I didnt twig but I could have met up with you

Lizz - enjoy your weekend and at 3pm sleep, hope DH is ok and doesnt give Dylan the D&V (imagine him having that whilst he is driving home )

Had a text from Wilkie the new house does have a phone/broadband connection so she'll be back soon PIL's were taking J to the new house at 3pm so hopefully they are all settling in

I am fridge freezer is now in Comets sale for £40 less than yesterday so going to ring Head Office tomorrow as they quote their 14day price match policy

ladytophamhatt · 22/03/2008 09:41
