Sorry Astro, I posted before I'd finished! guess I'm still a bit dozy!
I reckon Cesar is a good idea if avoids lots of nasty stitches, better to be intact down there if you can help it

Very windy here tonight, had to rescue playhouse roof before it landed in next doors koi pond, plus the umbrella tried to take the garden table for a walk too took dh and I to grab it and disengage it...

Frizbe · 20/07/2009 14:22

Hey Astro where are you? (wonders if new baby has arrived?)

feeling better here, bar my throat, giving it till wed to improve or back to Drs.

UniS · 21/07/2009 14:06

boy in very obliging mood this am. has played nicely while I got with some work!!!!! can;t last, so I'm taking him out. bus ride in the rain to play at a friends house.

UniS · 21/07/2009 14:07

has been pissing down for hours and hours, surely DHs cricket will be called off.

Boy going to stay with his best friend on thursday night!!!! DSH and I get to go on a bike ride together. and have a meal out. LOVE my friend for saying yes to extraordinary baby sitting.

Astrophe · 22/07/2009 02:09

Friz, glad you are feeling a bit better.
Uni, hope the bike ride and dinner out is lovely, what a great friend you have

No news, baby due today, ho hum.

thesouthsbelle · 22/07/2009 21:01

hello all, just popping back in to say hello, and see how everyone's getting on.

things are going well this end, DS has come into the contrary 3's with force thou, give me the terrible 2's any day! lol.

Frizbe · 22/07/2009 22:39

hello Belle all good here, glad you ok!

Astro, more curry! hope you get some twinges tonight and the little darling gets a move on.

Uni, WOW! don't you just love babysitting like that have a great night out.

We got dd1 a new bike today, so hopefully will have all 3 kids mobile for the summer, I have the bike rack at the ready, going to load them all up and get them to the big flat park in derby and get them all going without stabiliers, then its just dh we need to get a new bike for and we can be off en mass!

UniS · 22/07/2009 23:21

go cyclists go. good on ya.

Astrophe · 23/07/2009 14:03

Hey Belle

Friz, what size bike do you have for DD2 then? We have tried DS on DD's 16", but its too big for him. I reckon he could ride it without stabilisers if it were a 12", but I am too cheap to buy one as I think he will outgrow it v soon...so he wil have to wait until his legs grow and he can ride 16" one Hopefully by (our) summer holidays...got a bit of time up our sleeves yet.

UniS · 23/07/2009 14:18

boy has a 14inch. Isla bikes reason he should fit it till he is big enough for a 20inch.
Decent 12 inch pedal bikes are rare. not much clearance for the pedals with such a low bottom bracket.

Frizbe · 23/07/2009 21:53

Astro we just got dd1 a 16 inch, dd2 has her old 12 inch Got it all assembled today, just need to get a new pump tomorrow, as my dad has mine, and forgot to bring it back today! doh!
How's that baby, any signs yet?

Raining again here! thankfully its forecast to stop until Sunday, I do hope so!

Astrophe · 24/07/2009 06:08

No sign of baby yet!

Sounds like you are all sorted Friz - I hope you get some lovely holiday riding in!

I didn't even know 14" existed - thought it went from 12" to 16"... Anyway, we have bought DS a 16" already (hidden in garage for Christmas), so he will have to keep opn with the 12" Puky balance bike until then. He was rather jealous of DD's new bike, but we solved that by buying him a basket (like DD's - complete with flowers! ) for the front of his Puky - he is now very satisfied!

UniS · 24/07/2009 14:26

after this soggy first week of teh hols I think boy is getting a bit square eyed. We seem to have watched a lot of cebeebies i player. and played a lot of ceebeebies computer games.

He survived his first sleep over last night. woke up rather earlier than normal and is now quite tired. busy weekend ahead, 2 parties tomorrow.

fingers crossed for safe arrival of bub astro. don;t cross your legs and hang on.

Frizbe · 24/07/2009 22:13

Well here's hoping things get a move on for you tonight Astro loving ds loving his basket! cute! Hope your weather is better than here, usual summer of rain settled in I think

Uni, you have my sympathies with being stuck in all week, I'm longing for some good weather, want to go camping at least one night in the next 3 weeks and I'd like a balmy night to do it on

UniS · 25/07/2009 21:40

Camping, now theres an idea.maybe if we don;t find a house in time we just go and camp.

I had a good morning working in workshop fixing stuff to day, now I can get it all back to customer and present a large invoice. Next thingto do in workshop i a big clear out and free cycle. Do you think freecyclers will want assorted timer off cuts?

Astrophe · 26/07/2009 04:57

I'm sure someonebody will want timber Uni - good job on all the fixing.

Feeling very frustrated here. Woke up with contractions - had about 5 in an hour and then...nothing. That was 6 hours ago, think I've had 2 since then, bugt harder to tell if they are BH with accompanying back pain or 'real' contractions Feeling miserable and a bit silly cos I told DD this am that Baby will come today, and now she is disapointed too...shouldn't have said anything...but I was so sure.

Frizbe · 26/07/2009 14:42

Oh Astro {{{Hugs}}} I'm hoping that things are kicking off for you today

Uni, did you mean timber or timer? if timer, you'd better watch what you post on freecycle or the terriorist squad may come in investigate you

Twiddling my thumbs waiting to take dd1 to a party here, then I shall take dd2 out on her bike, we managed about half hour in the park yesterday with me running backwards and forwards between the two of them pushing one, then the other! dd2 has shorter legs than dd1 did at this stage! so can only just tiptoe on the 12" dd2 is about same height, but is equal body and legs, dd1 is like me all legs

Frizbe · 27/07/2009 21:11

Astro, hope you're ok and things have kicked off for you.

We've been to Alton Towers today, shattered, but all happy

Astrophe · 28/07/2009 00:52

still nothing

Frizbe · 28/07/2009 23:00

Oh no.....sorry to hear that, I was spitting when I got to 5 days over with dd1, then when it happened again with dd2.....really hope bump gets a move on for you {{{hugs}}}

laundrylover · 28/07/2009 23:04

Catching up....still no baby Astro??

My sis in and out of hospital but at the time of writing is still on for a home birth....me and girls go up on Sun so she better hold on until then!

Demolition started on our house today!!

I'll be around on MN lots more whilst in Scotland so hang on in there Astro!!!!

laundrylover · 28/07/2009 23:06

Hi Friz...we should be in bed you know! With respective DP/DHs of course - I'm not flirting with you !

OP posts:
Astrophe · 29/07/2009 01:12

Hope your sis holds on then LL (although maybe she doesn't want to! - Every time my Mum comes home she sighs with relief "oh, I'm so glad you didn't go into labour while I was away!"...and I think "I wish I had!")

Still nothing here - 7 days over today. TBH I feel a bit worried - the other two were late too (DD 8 Days, DS 4 days), but it still seems surprising that this one has gone so long. Thinking maybe my abdominals issues mean that baby has not positioned well...and if thats true I doubt I will labour spontaneously

Seeing MW tomorrow for trace and another sweep.

Have to go up in a taxi to get DD from kindy, and have decided I wont ask taxi t wait but will walk home instead. This will kill my pelvis, but is a last ditch effort to get baby down low! I have to walk down 100s of steps to get home...will bounce on each one to get that head bouncing on cervix!

Frizbe · 29/07/2009 09:32

Astro, {{{Hugs}}} maybe the walk will do the trick, I reckon baby may have been hanging on till today, as it wants to share a birthday with me I got Bongos! I've been wanting some for years, but dh kept forgetting my huge hints, this year I told him straight, get them or big trouble I got BONGOS! yay!! (ya know these baby Leos want it all their own way don't ya )

LL, glad sis is still managing to hang on, at your last post! don't panic I hadn't made assumptions good luck with getting the house demolished and re created, can't wait to see the photos.

Astrophe · 29/07/2009 13:23

Happy Birthday Friz!!!

Think this is going to be an August Baby though!
