Happy anniversay Mr and Mrs csws I hope.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 21:08

We WILL use your shiny new thread, even if it means us abandoning this one on Christmas Eve

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 09/12/2007 21:44

Told d hBOUT THE WRAPPING PAPER. hIS RESPONSE WAS 'THEY MUST BE POSH IF ITS GOT A PATTERN ON THE INSIDE TOO' [HMM]

oops, sorry caps!

Then asked him about hols next yr and I said 'I'vedone your rota on the calendar till February' His then asked if i'd done August in that case

EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:01

LOL for 2 threads- was bound to happen some time though!

CSWS- that is the exact same box I had!!!

I hate paper put on the wrong way too- though I shall never have to worry about Dh doing it incorrectly, as I think I would have to wait until next christmas, or beyond for him to wrap anything [grrr]

He frequently doesn't even wrap my birthday presents (although they are always really thoughtfully chosen) he just runs out of time. On the occasions that he has, its always some amazing theme/extravaganza wrapping to be fair

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:04

Has he been drinking mrm?!

I could always rant another 900 times about dh if it would help to fill the thread .
Actually we made up before he went to bed . Going for a honeymoon baby, just 7 years too late .

Jas - can't do PWP tomorrow I'm afraid. Christmas lunch is off, but those of us that are fit and well are still meeting up. I guess that means that we're not going to get there this side of Christmas. Would it be better if I just popped down to yours one afternoon to drop the present off? I know that you're in chaos and very busy, so I could just stay for a cuppa and then go again if you'd prefer. I could do that on Wedns or Thurs afternoon this week.

OP posts:
Jas · 09/12/2007 22:15

I assumed PWP was off. I'm going to go to Ikea and do errands tomorrow.Yes, come here if yo can, bu I can't do Wednesday or Thursday(Jr school show, and babysitting at my friends house so she can go ) on those two days.

Jas · 09/12/2007 22:16

Oooh. Maybe you could still come Wednesday...I will be babysitting while eating cake and drinking tea with my mum friends, over the road from me. You could join us

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 22:16

pmsl @ pictures on the inside - DH owuld probably have said the same.

EPPM - Roxy had one of those boxes, I was always insanely jealous. She had an a la carte kitchen too.

CSWS - there is a thing as sharing too much information you know

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:20

If your friends wouldn't mind then that would be lovely Jas. Do you want to check with them first?

Too much info - have you forgotten what the conception threads were like flame?!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:20

Roxy being whom exactly??????

Jas · 09/12/2007 22:22

Yes. Who is Roxy? Are we supposed to know?

csws -she gives out cards with her address on to random women with children and invites them over. "Wednesday Women" Sounds really naff but she is lovely and won't mind at all. Sometimes there are only three of us. Some weeks it is packed.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 22:23

My best friend when I was in primary school

Jas · 09/12/2007 22:24

I love that we are supposed to know that !

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 22:24

I love the sound Wednesday Women - do you get some scary women come though??

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:25

I assumed as much flame [clever].

Great Jas - what time should I come?

OP posts:
CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:25

She will this week flame .

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:26

LOL- well I did wonder if I was the only one who was confused! Mine was actually a birthday present from my best friend when I was in the first year of secondary school.

Whats an a la carte kitchen (in this sense)?
Is it a fancy toy kitchen?

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 22:27

Why wouldn't you know that

Bet MRM would've known

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:28

[Notes musical jewellery boxes still possibly ok for 10/11 year olds]

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:28

jas- who gives out the cards? is it your friend? are you are card-recipient?

I take it you live somewhere tiny, not a big city full of wierdos!

EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:30

csws- well, I was quite a naive and innocent 11 yr old, and it was 20 years ago! Don't think I had much jewellery to go in it though- now that would have been a nicer present!!!

I am coveting Baccarat and Lalique stuff at the moment.... is it my age d'ya think?

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:30

lol at Jas being somewhere tiny. She's inside the M25 dontcha know .

OP posts:
FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 09/12/2007 22:30

It was the best toy kitchen EVER. The kid on the advert made beans and those little mini swiss rolls

CantSleighWontSleigh · 09/12/2007 22:35

Had to google both of those EPPM .
I pretty much always wear the same jewellery - good old gold and diamonds, custom made.

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 09/12/2007 22:36

M25? Oh that little thing!
