Phoenix, boooo for going back to work on your birthday, but yay for finishing work.

Hello Jas is it good doing nothing?

Dame not a chance mooncup in full use here

CSWS have you sorted a washer then? or are you using MRM
and for your dd using the potty, yay! fingers x'd she keeps it up for you, dd2 here is using the loo for poo's but nothing else?? odd eh! is looking at any mention of a potty with a look of disgust?

Flame you been busy then?

We had another good day in the shop today, think tomorrow will also be busy, so have arranged with Meridian for her to bbsit dd2, in the morning for an hour or two, whilst dd1 and I help out at shop, then we can all go for lunch together, then its off to a birthday party 2-4 at a play centre.

Hope you all have great weekends, if I don't catch you again.

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 21/12/2007 20:27

Oh, and the pile of presents we are brinigng looks very big. eek. Looks like we're moving in! Only because the Sodor island is already constructed, and the puppet theatre is flat but broad.Plus there's the santa bits. Wondering whether to leave me and dh's ones to each other here, and swop alone on boxing day night. Ds1 wants to know if santa comes to your front room or your landing please!

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 21/12/2007 20:28

Hello Friz

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 21/12/2007 20:36

Hello MRM lol at your ds1 asking where Santa arrives! must go and see what status norad tracks santa is at eh! I love that site right dh just back from hunting and gathering, so off to eat tea, which looks to be soup and cheesey bread, as thats what he's foraged (along with my xmas prezzies apparently, Tescos finest....prays silently he's been elsewhere too)

Jas · 21/12/2007 21:54

Helo again

I'm feeling very moody at the moment, and can't hink of anything interesting to say

CantSleighWontSleigh · 21/12/2007 23:03

PMT Jas, or the prospect of the Christmas holidays? You don't have to be interesting. You can be your usual dull self .

Right then mrm. Finally back from my 3 hour trip to Tesco , including a slow journey due to very bad fog. We are doing M&S tomorrow and Waitrose on Monday too . We have apple juice and orange juice (had dh relaying your messages to me whilst in store ). Santa delivers to the living room of course, as that's where the chimney is! I would be surprised if you couldn't fit all your pressies in, but dh says he can put the roof box on if you want ? We are red wine drinkers too, so can share with Mrmrm. If Tesco get some more of our favourite wine in that is, as they were just out of stock, and I refused to buy any other kind!

Friz - dishwasher ordered, but not expected until early Jan .
Glad that business is going well. I guess the new year might be a bit quieter for you.

PhoeNixYouAMerryChristmas · 21/12/2007 23:19

We've just got back from Asda, it was f**king packed. We really thought it would be quiet at 9.30-10pm time on a Friday night but everyone had the same idea

CantSleighWontSleigh · 21/12/2007 23:27

lol lol lol at thinking it would be quiet Phoenix. It's never quiet at this time of year!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 21/12/2007 23:31

Hi Jas- its a naff time of the year I think- preparations seem to have been going on forever, but the big event is not yet upon us.

Or is it just pmt?

'tis DH's birthday today, so he had a haircut! First one in 18 months (his hair was extremely long) and now its very short indeed, and is freezing outside- he also shaved his beard off, so he really felt the cold when we went to pick dd up from nursery.

All the staff were doing double takes... one even thought he was my brother or something rofl.

Before.. during, and after.....

CantSleighWontSleigh · 21/12/2007 23:47

lol - I thought you were really posting pics of your dh!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 21/12/2007 23:56

Haha! I took some, but he didn't upload them yet.

The change was remarkable though- he frequently gets odd looks, occasionally people cross the road so as not to pass him . Often people look in the buggy, then back at him, then the buggy again, and you can see the cogs turning LOL

I think he got round to it because dd has been commanding 'Papa cut hair!' for about a fortnight- I think it tickles when she hugs him.

Jas · 22/12/2007 08:06

PMT, Christmas and the 6 sheets of plasterboard in my hallway that dp keeps promising to put up but doesn't.
I've invited lots of people round tomorrow and at the moment getting a buggy in the house is difficult, and it looks a mess.

I'm going to brave the Tescos shop while he does it today. Hewill no be allowed toleave the house til i is done!

The pics made me smile though EPPM

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 22/12/2007 09:12

Well, I didnt find it funny EPPM; my pc still hangs every time I click on a link, and I have to reopen explorer, so it has to be something worthwhile!!I'll forgive you though

Lol at the Tescos extravananza csws; brings a whole new slant to doing an internet order for me!! Ds1 says thank you for getting juice for him, and will you have toast and chocolate?

Should've got you to stock up on water for me (will obv have paid you for this lot!!) incase I consume quicker than the filter filters, as happens in our house I am getting better at not drinking so much you know.

Jas, please be happy. Turn a blind eye to the plasterboard. Or, do what I'd do, a nd have a huge tizzy till somethig got done with it! Shove it behind sofa?

We have friends coming this afternoon, and our old neighbour tomorrow (that one's a bit of a chore). Not sure what to do this morn; have another pressie to drop off, but no reply to text yet, so not sure if they're in.
Have finished a rough list of what I need tolook for in the sales, to put up for next xmas [gein] I need a list thid year, as will have to take the boys with me so no time to browse. It'll be a military operation! Dh's only days off (until well after new year) are xmas day and boxing day (see how honoured you are csws family!!)

Thanks for the xmas card BTW; did I say that already? Its lovely. ds1 knew who it was, ds2 said 'be-be'.

Jas · 22/12/2007 09:37

mrm - dp tells me to be happy and it just makes me more cross He will sort the plasterboard today, and I will be happy. If he actually fixes it to the ceiling instead of just hiding it I will be very happy, but at the moment hidig it would do. (It is about 8' x4' and way too big o o behind the sofa!)

I'm going to chll out and bake cakes now, and shop later.

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 22/12/2007 10:03

ooops, sorry for sounding like your dp 8x4 would go behind the sofa, but just look daft, surely?!

I'm having a cant-be-bothered morning Should be washing my hair, delivering pressie to friend, hoovering, tidying, trying on bras that Flame send me days ago.

Jas · 22/12/2007 10:14

It is ok.I only react like that whenhe says it

I don't want the only room in the house that isn't a tip to have 6 sheets of plasterboard poking up from behind the sofa though....at the very least he will get it upstairs into the new bathroom, and shut the door

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 22/12/2007 14:28

Still not caught up

MRM - BOTH cheques came today

CantSleighWontSleigh · 22/12/2007 15:00

mrm - the filter in the fridge freezer is connected to the mains supply - will you really drink quicker than that?!

fingers crossed for dh doing the ceiling Jas.

lol at both cheques arriving.

M&S now done, but dh already managed to trash the trifle with his dodgy driving, so will have to eat it and buy another now!

Another set of pressies delivered too, and gained a load of learning to read books (will look at exactly what they are later, but it's a whole set of stuff) for dd, and had her entertained by lots of dogs, cats and one of the friends' girls.

OP posts:
mustrunmorewantsanewname · 22/12/2007 15:19

Oh ffs. Did the first one have the right address on and everything?Well, at least you got them!!

CantSleighWontSleigh · 22/12/2007 16:17

mrm - boys beds - bed (in library) for ds1...bed or travel cot (also in library) for ds2?

OP posts:
Jas · 22/12/2007 17:40

Ceiling not done, but plasterboard is hidden, and all tools are stowed out of sight, so I'm fairly happy.

DP wrapped my presents tonight, and I found a label off some jeans.....size 14! I'm putting it down to him being totally clueless about womens sizes not that he thinks I really am a 14. I'm hoping he will change them before Christmas and buy the carrots I seem to have lost in Tescos.

@ both cheques arriving together.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 22/12/2007 18:27

Yay for hidden plasterboard.

Dd temp over 39 and she's been napping on my lap for ages .

OP posts:
mustrunmorewantsanewname · 22/12/2007 18:58

Both boys in together sounds fab. Cot for ds2 please. Am hoping he's so excited he forgets that he wants to sleep with us, and that our bed is far superior

Just ordered ds2's birthday pressie from my Dad Boots half price sale is online;611 toy!!

CantSleighWontSleigh · 22/12/2007 19:59

Can't find much in stock that I want in Boots sale, rather annoyingly. Thought I might be able to stock up on pressies for the year, but struggling a bit. Like this for a couple of people for 2nd birthdays, but not sure I can be arsed to order for just that. Is the sale in store as well?

I do actually have to get 2 2nd b'day pressies for boys for next Saturday. Find me some suitable bargains mrm - budget £10-£15 each.

What have you ordered for ds2?

OP posts:
Jas · 22/12/2007 20:01

I'm going to have tocheck the sale now, too.....
