Congratualtions!

good vibes for flick too

PixelHerder · 21/03/2008 07:57

OOOOOOOH Ceebee - how FAB !!! Big congrats to you and DH

ImpyChica · 21/03/2008 09:34

Hi everyone

Sorry I've been quiet of late - longer hours at work means I rarely have time to MN these days....

Can't wait to hear from you Flick and see pix of Sam - hope all goes well and Jacob loves his lickle bro! Hope Jacob gets on ok with his glasses too.

CONGRATULATIONS CB!!!! So so happy for you! How exciting! Finger's crossed for you that you don't feel too ill with it or anything. Big congratulory (sp) hug

Oh Spin, hope you're ok babe. Really hope Roshi will be ok. Must be a v stressful time but, as you say, I'm sure R will be fine in the end. As everyone has said, don't worry about offloading on us, if you want.

Lovely pix of the girls HC. The garden was a masterpiece!

Glad you have cleared the air with your DH, Annie - it's always good to have some time on your own to reconnect. Hope it becomes a more frequent thing...

Thanks to Bloss and everyone else who recommend 'How to talk so kids will listen...' - blardy fantastic!!! Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it. Have found it's affected all my relationships - not just the parent/child one. Brilliant.

Good luck with the weaning Mae - the only time I miss b-feeding is when Ry is ill and I worry he's not getting enough nutrients. But generally it's kinda nice to get your body back to yourself! The morning feeds were the last to go with us too.

So sorry about your in-laws Bead. What ar**es. Just don't understand that kind of behaviour - sounds incredibly selfish. I can understand wanting to cut them out your lives but seems a shame at the same time... Could you maybe send them letters and photos from Charlotte - just so there is some contact, no matter how minimal? Just an idea.... Good luck with the mortgage.

How did Z's test results go, CatchinZeds? Finger's crossed for you all.

Glad you got to have a crazy afternoon out Pixel ! It's funny how you appreciate just the smallest things now, no?! If I get a night out it's such a huge treat now! My in-laws were fantastic when we were in Barcelona and DP and I went out most nights (though we were so knackered that we were back by 12...!) and they looked after Ry in the mornings so we could have super-luxurious lie-ins... bliss! (Could do with them here this Easter as both Dp and I are feeling a bit under the weather but Ry insists on getting up at 7am regardless - so inconsiderate! And he was up at 4am this morning demanding porridge - freak show!)

Hi Kbaby! Loving your ds' obsession with pink - channelling his metrosexual side already! Fantastic. Ryan likes to wear my flowery hair clips and looks so pretty!

Hope the house is going well Twinkle - bet it'll be lovely when it's all sorted.

Quick q.... anyone's else's bairn who has recently developed ezcema has now gone off bath time? Ryan used to LOVE bathtime but for the past month or so will just stand in the bath tub screaming. Don't know if the scratches on his body from the ezcema sting when he's in the water or if it's just a phase. Any ideas? Have had to bring him in the shower with me some mornings just to get him clean!

Well darlings. That's my mammoth post for the month! Hope everyone has a lovely Easter.

Hugs, Impy xxx

Wallace · 22/03/2008 21:41

spin - what's up with Roshi? I'm a bit behind here

twink - good luck moving house. Fancy meeting up again when you have some time off?

TheGoddessBlossom · 23/03/2008 20:00

evening girls, Happy Easter.

Congratulations CB! Wonderful news, so happy for you both, well done.

Also drumming fingers re Lysettes, hope all is ok.........

Spent 12 hours of Good Friday at two different hospitals with Toby, who woke up completely cross eyed. Of course GP closed, and NHS Direct recommended having him seen (pressure from brain aka tumour!!!can cause this apparently). He was seen and kept in for obs for hours, charmed eveyone he encountered, ate everything in sight, played, ran about, and was generally the fittest healthiest child in both the hospitals we ended up at, so I felt like a complete fraud, but his squint is very pronounced, still today. They sent us home eventually saying they were happy it's cause wasn't anything sinister, but it's still unexplained and worrying us.

Had my meeja debut for the Daily Mirror last Wednesday which was great fun, having hair and make up done etc, and me and my two friends really enjoyed having our photos taken, and enjoyed even more being in a bar near Waterloo by 3.30pm! We got sozzled and had a really good time. Sore head Thursday....

Have had a great day today, all DH's family here for lunch, he did a big lasagne and a baked cheese cake, yum yum yum, I did an egg hunt for the boys and their cousins which they loved and they made Easter bonnets with rabbits ears, an idea courtesy of MN!

Anyone know if the shops are open tomorrow? I want to go to the new Primark that has opened in Basingstoke...

Right catch you soon, I'll let you know what I hear about T.

Wallace · 23/03/2008 20:07

bloss!

Has Toby had chickenpox recently btw?

HumphreysCorner · 23/03/2008 20:07

Happy Easter girls

Bloss-was just about to send a search party out for you. Wonder why Toby woke up like that-most strange. Sure it will be nothing but worrying for you all though.

I have eaten far too much chocolate and we went for a walk along the seafront in the masses of snow and had to have some chips. Snow melted then came home and did a Sunday dinner. Am like a whale now-diet starts Tuesday.

Love to all

TheGoddessBlossom · 23/03/2008 20:30

he had it last year Wallace. Why?

Wallace · 23/03/2008 20:33

Sorry should have explained myself. I'm sure I have read about kids developing squints after chickenpox. but last year would be too long ago.

TheGoddessBlossom · 23/03/2008 20:44

hmm. Might post in Health..

Wallace · 23/03/2008 20:49

I googled it just to check I hadn't imagined it, and it is mentioned, but does seem to be something that would happen at the same time as chickenpox.

Do post in Health though, somebody will know something!

TheGoddessBlossom · 23/03/2008 21:20

freaking out now. patch, specs, operation. Lysettes, looks like Jacob and Toby are going to be the bins twins.....

Wallace · 23/03/2008 21:37

on second thoughts, don't post in Health, it will only worry you

{{{hugs}}}

Morning all

Why oh why does dd1 decide to get up on Easter bloody Monday ay 6am when i have to wake her for nursery at 7.45am any other day????

She isn't well (prob asthma docs reckon) and coughs non stop when we are out in the cold so can't even go out for a walk or to the farm. Bloody can't stand the soft play either so not sure what to do today, god i am a moan

SSS (((hugs))) Hope Roshi is ok. Poor you having to deal with this, makes my moans seem petty in comparision

Flick hoping to hear news soon xx

CeeBee congrats,i am sooooo . Take care of you and bean xx

HC my diet (hahaha) is going down the pan. My dh is on a healthy eating plan with me to try and motivate me but it isn't working. Will end up back where i started if i am not careful!!

Hi to everyone else i have forgotten to mention < waves >

It's my 1st wedding anniversary and my birthday on the 10th of April, god i can't believe a year has gone sooo quickly lol. DH was hoping to take me away for the day somewhere but my mum and dad are paying for them and my brother to have an all inclusive holiday (since db is feeling down) and hope to fly out on the 10th of April so won't be doing anything most likely. Never mind eh?

Dd2 awake now so better go.

Must post more often xx

ceebee74 · 24/03/2008 07:38

Thanks for all the congratulations ladies It is finally sinking in and I am so happy although it is VERY early days. No symptoms at all so far (which I think is a good thing ) - as long as I can avoid the pukes, then I will be pleased.

My due date is 26 November but it is all a bit confusing because of the length of my cycle so I guess the 12 week scan will confirm this.

Bloss - how very scary for you. I think I would have seriously panicked - but if the hospital sent you home, it is surely nothing really to worry about.

Agalch - I can clearly remember you getting married - time is flying by so quickly isn't it??

Spin - {{{{hugs}}}}. You and your family are so strong that I am sure that whatever is wrong with R, you will get through it and it must be a little easier with your parents etc around you now aswell.

Flick - where are you??? We want news ! Even if you are still in hospital, get Mr Flick to post

Josh (the little devil) decided to poo on his bedroom carpet on Saturday night - delightful! I had got him ready for his bath so he was running around without a nappy on and he shut his bedroom door and we could hear him giggling so he must have known that it was wrong - the little monkey! I guess that is just the start of what is to come when we decide to start potty training eh?

Have had a good Easter - busy and eaten loads of chocolate (of course) - really need to make an effort now to eat healthily from now on.

Hi to everyone else.

kbaby · 24/03/2008 09:00

Bloss- How odd, no wonder you were worried.

DD is worse now, she spent last night in bed with me just scratching and crying. I gave her piriton and rubbed calamine lotion on but dont know what else to do, she even has spots down below, on her bum cheeks and inside her belly button

Help please. What can I do to get DS to eat? He will happily eat weetabix, bananas and chocolate but everything else hell have 2 mouthfulls of and then leave it. On saturday he had breakfast, then 1 piece of bread off a sandwich, 1 cocktail sausage and refused tea so ended up having 1 weetabix. How can he survive on that, even finger food doesnt tempt him. This has been going on for 3 weeks now.

Spin- Whats nf1? if genetic testing helps to ease your worries or gets to the bottom of what it is itll be worth the cost.

I cant stand being in any longer. I have cabin fever. We have not been out all over easter due to dd and im crackng up.

kbaby · 24/03/2008 09:24

Heres some pics of DD's spots and also DD and Ds with Ds saying 'cheese'
